Work Text:
Ginny was in a terrible temper, and it all had to do with a certain quarter-veela who wouldn't take a hint and leave.
She hadn't thought much about Fleur back in her third year — hadn't thought she needed to. She'd just been this girl that everyone went crazy over, and Ron had asked out, much to his embarrassed regret and Ginny's amused relief.
She hadn't thought she'd ever have to deal with Fleur again, but then Bill started dating her, and he was going to marry her, and now she'd all but moved in — and Ginny was sick of it.
Fleur was everywhere with her stupid accent and cheek kisses. She got in the way and sucked the air out of rooms, all shiny and bright like a light you couldn't put out. And Ron was absolutely stupid about her — getting infuriatingly dazed and blushy and dull-eyed.
Fleur wasn't even that pretty. A cow was what she was.
If she hadn't been dating Bill, Ginny would've already put balding solution in her shampoo. See how pretty she was with all her hair in the sewer.
Ginny didn't get why Bill couldn't marry Tonks. She was fun — unlike Fleur. She was a metamorphmagus — unlike Fleur. And Ron wasn't in the least interested in her.
Really, Tonks would've been a much better sister-in-law.
