Within the peaceful night of Metro City, in the hidden base of HQ, Chief Quimby enters the science laboratory, where he spots Professor Von Slickstein holding a glowing blue vial.
“Is it ready?”
“Absolutely Chief, I’ve ran the tests and the serum should be enough for an average human body. And now to see if it can infuse with one. Got anyone in mind.” The Professor gently places the
“Professor, before I let anyone take the serum, you must know that our selector’s life is in your hands, not to mention a billion’s worth of government cash.”
“I understand Chief, just want to let you know that this serum infusion will change their lives forever, and for that, we need to make sure it doesn’t fall into MAD’s hands.”
The Chief nods, indeed who knows what MAD, or Dr. Claw would do if they had their hands, or claw, on this powerful chemical.
“I’ll make sure that we double for security around the facility, and as for the one who first volunteered was Gary.”
The Professor puts down his clipboard, “Gary, volunteered?”
Quimby shrugs, “It seems to be, besides he’s very capable, he’s one of the best, besides Gadget.”
The Professor fixes his glasses, “I guess, wasn’t there anyone else?”
“Yes, Penny wanted to volunteer, but Gadget and I are completely against it. She is still young and has just received the Senior Agent rank, she wanted.” The Chief sighs, he was not certain if the serum could affect her body, granted she’s already twenty, but he can’t gamble her life for a science experiment. It could break the inspector’s heart if anything happened to his beloved niece.
Professor Von Slickstein presses the button to safely put away the serum in a dense vault.
“Well, luckily for us if anything happens to the serum, I have a back-up prototype serum close to completion.”
The Chief snaps his glance back at him, “What did you mean by ‘prototype serum’?”
The Professor purses his lips, accidentally spilling too much, “W-well, given the fact that we had some left over funds, I decided to remake the serum, but with an interesting twist. I managed to get my hands on spider DNA, and a bit of radiation and well, it’s still a work in progress.” He rubs his neck, while Quimby was taken back.
“Why on Earth would you make something like this?” He fumes, while the Professor raises his hands in defense.
“Well, I just a lot of time and funds on my hands, plus I’m pretty sure that the prototype will give some same effect, but with a little twist, but I don’t think we’ll be worried about it."

“Oh my gosh, Penn, I can’t believe we;ll be watching this freaky science experiment.” A bubbly voice chirps as the owner of the it takes out her phone.
Her best friend, Agent Penny, sulks as they continue towards the laboratory.
“Yeah, I guess.”
The girl, Agent Kayla, puts her phone away, and gives Penny a worried glance.
“Are you still bummed that you didn’t get selected?” She pouts. Penny sighs, “I mean, yeah, it would’ve been cool to be part of something that could change science history but I guess it’s not me.”
Kayla places her hand on her best friend’s shoulder, “At least you are now finally a full-fledged agent, which gives us access to watch the whole thing.” Penny lowers her head and crosses her arms, “You mean to stand guard in case MAD tries to do anything.”
Kayla groans from their roles to today’s major event, “Don’t remind me, I want to take some pics about the whole thing.” Penny quickly glances at her friend’s sad expression.
“Kayla, this experiment is supposed to be classified, since the government gave HQ a huge fund to stop MAD once and for all, we can’t let anyone, especially MAD know. Especially...” Penny’s voice trails off as she remembers a certain hair-geled, MAD agent making an appearance for this.
Kayla gives a knowing hum, “You’re are totally not thinking about Talon, aren’t you?” She teases a now bright red Penny who clears her throat, “Of course not, I just need to recall how he can easily interrupt this whole thing and for that I must be prepared for him.” She boasts determinedly, while Kayla shakes her head.
“Yeah, you should totally be prepared for him, oh wait is that him incognito!” She points in a random direction, as Penny quickly puts on a fighting pose.
“Wait, where?” Her excited grin disappears when she quickly realized that Kayla tricked her, leaving a more red blush arising on her face, as Kayla laughs.

Meanwhile within one of the MAD bases, Dr. Claw pets his beloved MAD cat, while his mischievous nephew, Talon enters the room.
“About time you’ve showed up!” The menacing villain clutches his iron fist.
“Yeah, yeah, don’t need to seethe towards me.” The eighteen year old boy scoffs.
“Intel has reported that HQ is about to test the first ever human enhancement serum, and I want you to crash in and take the serum so I can use it for myself and destroy Gadget once and for all.”
Talon cuts in, “Uncle C, wouldn’t it be better if we can replicate the serum and make a powerful army and take over the world.”
Dr. Claw growls, unleashing his claws, “Silence Talon, just do what you are told. Now go!” He yells, making the boy rush out of the room.
As he prepares some of the MAD agents, he begins how he can use the serum for himself, perhaps defeat that buffoon inspector, and his annoying, yet cute, niece.

“Wowsers, there’s a whole lot of scientific professionals in the lab. And we might never know if there’s a MAD agent among them.” Inspector Gadget beams, as his extended neck allows him to check the lab.
Chief Quimby approaches Gadget holding a mission ball, “You are absolutely right Gadget, and for that here’s your special mission.”
Gadget takes the ball, opening a holographic screen of the chief in his office.
“Your mission is to make sure, MAD does not infiltrate HQ, and interrupt the experiment, nor steal the serum. Who knows what MAD will do if they had the serum?” The hologram shuts down.
The cyborg inspector beams, “Not to worry, Chief, I won’t any MAD agent sneak past my nose. Go go gadget, magnifying glass!” Instead of a magnifying glass, his rocket skates popped out and he zooms uncontrollably, leaving the Chief with an exploding mission ball.
The Chief coughs off the smoke, praying for the day that he might get his vacation package.

Inside the connected observation room, upstairs, Penny and Kayla find their seats. Inspector Gadget observes the lab as agent Gary was getting ready with an army of other scientists, and medical teams, prepping him. Gadget extends his neck with his magnifying glass, hovering over.
“Uh, Inspector, wouldn’t you prefer if you investigate in the observation room, we’d rather preferred if we didn’t have an accident during this whole thing.” Professor Von Slickstein advised the inconspicuous inspector.
“Hmm, you might be on to something Professor, very well. Go go gadget, limb extension.” With that the Inspect yells as his robotic legs spring him towards the observation room, luckily Brain the dog opens a window for him to land safely, plop next to Penny.
Professor Von Slickstein, grabs a microphone, “Esteemed members of the multiple science corporations, esteemed guests, and agents, we are her to witness our first test of the new serum that can help strengthen our defenses, the super serum. Once injected into our best agent, his body will physically enhance, making him much stronger and faster.”
The observant professionals took notes, some continue their gaze, as Agent Gary takes off his top, and lays down inside the coffin like machine. The nurses then place the bright blue serum on the side of the machine, one came with a syringe with clear liquid. He give the agent a swift injection.
The professor clears his throat, “Now we will begin with a small dose of penicillin, due to health protocol, then with a pull of the lever the serum will inject him. We will close the machine to allow the serum to settle inside his body.”
Penny leans forward, her eyes slowly widen with intrigue, however, just as the Professor was about to say the word, a boom is heard up on the roof, then another.
Chief Quimby gasps, “Everyone, get down!”
The roof was blown off, revealing a gang of MAD agents sliding inside the laboratory. And leading them was Penny’s arch nemesis, and crush, Talon Claw.
