Chapter Text
It's dark already
How is it dark already
The light was there moments ago
But it's gone now
For today
But is it just for today?
Tomorrow will be the same
That light
The one that fades so fast
It'll dissipate all the same tomorrow too
Stare at the blank canvas of a ceiling
I wish it were stars but it's too clouded
I want to reach out to grab them
But I'm just laying there
Arm suspended in the air
That light will return tomorrow
I hope
I'm sick of the darkness
How it floods so quickly
And how it sticks like tar to the eyes
Thick and dark and needlessly powerful
Solidifying and weighing you down
It's hard to blink
Hard to see
Hard to erase
The forthcoming of space
The void unknown
As it crawls its way up my throat
From the depths of my body
Is it dark in there too?
The world spins
Vision spins
Yet all stays grounded
Stars on the floor
Stars on my hands too
My void spills across the floor
And floods from my mouth
Yet the empty feeling it yields
Never empties out
Such a dense weightlessness
Through my fingers like sand
The light remains fleeting again
I want to hold onto it
Keep it
But it never lets me
My eyes spin
My head spins
The world spins
Again and again
I feel dizzy
Oh
The light is back
What was I worried about?
