“I want you to divine something for me,” is how Ling Wuyu greets him, the moment he enters the door.
Ding Ji hurriedly stuffs the plastic bags to his lover’s hands. “You should take a break,” he urges, because he knows how the other gets when his stomach isn’t filled for more than two hours. He gives a look to their cat, currently very fat and sleepy on the end of their couch. “I bought you a lot of snacks.”
Ling Wuyu’s work is busy on most days, but it’s especially busy now that he’s been promoted to lead a research team. Seeing him bringing work home is distressing, but seeing him in a lab coat while wearing glasses also makes their life in their apartment very busy—that’s definitely the main contributor to how his lover stays lean despite eating so much.
Ling Wuyu accepts the proffered snacks. His eyes are a bit glazed when he asks, “Do you think we’d be good prospects for an adoption?”
That gives him pause. “Do you actually want to consider it, or did Xu Tianbo talk your ears off?”
That question makes Ling Wuyu pause, before he sighs, and leans against him. “My little genius is really a genius,” he says affectionately, mind cleared up now that he has food in his stomach.
Just in case, Ding Ji makes a mental note to ask Xu Tianbo about this conversation at a later time. How does that man have so many worries, when he can’t even snag an actual girlfriend, thanks to having so many options? It really boggles the mind. Ling Wuyu is obviously better looking and smarter… but he’s already taken by him. Hehe.
“I think you need to eat some snacks too,” Ling Wuyu interrupts his grinning, and kisses him to get his attention.
Eating in broad daylight does have its charms, and so they busy themselves with this ‘meal’.
