It all started as Wednesday entered her new dorm for the first time, looked around ,turned back to her mother and asked/demanded "Why is it like this mother you know that I hate colours and you know what happens when I touch them too so do tell me why is the room like this mother do you want me to suffer?" "Actually sorry that is my side of our dorm." As Wednesday whipped around she saw a tall girl with blonde hair with streaks of colours in them, with a sheepish smile "Hi I'm Enid nice to meet you!"
As she walked forward to hug Wednesday, Wednesday walked back to get away from the hug looking disgusted , Enid looked at her and said "Not a hugger got it sorry, well welcome to Ophelia hall roomie I will show you around and I will get your uniform and your schedule for you." Wednesday turned to Morticia and Gomez looking blankly at them and saying in her monotone voice "Well mother, father" Nodding to each as she said their names." I will see you soon goodbye hope you do horribly without me" Morticia and Gomez smiled looked around Ophelia hall one more time turned, and left.
Enid looked at her new roommate and thought " How quickly can I get her to be my friend or maybe comfortable with me?"
Wednesday thought " How can I get out of here as quickly as possible and to get her to get rid of all of them colours because it looks ridiculous." Unknow to Wednesday she said the entire thing out loud and as Enid walked back into their shared dorm she heard some if not all of it and quickly dumped Wednesday's uniform and her class schedule on her dark, dull and bleak bed in her side of the shared dorm, and stormed off to Yoko's room to complain to the vampire.
Wednesday looked around trying to find Enid, could not find her and saw that there was a black version of the same uniform that everyone else was wearing and a piece of paper thinking it is her schedule so she picked the uniform up, leaving the piece of paper containing her class schedule on her black bed and walked off to the bathroom to get dressed in the uniform.
As Wednesday emerged from the bathroom she spotted Enid on her bed , she noticed that Enid had been crying so what Wednesday did was she sighed and sat down on her chair and started to type away on her typewriter until Enid spoke up. It didn't take long till Wednesday heard a sniffle and a meek yet quite voice from the other side of the room. "It was you Wednesday, I heard what you said and then I ran off to Yoko's room to calm down,"
It was quite for a while, until the girls heard a knock on the door, both heads snapped towards the door and immerged a women with ginger/red hair, a dark blue pair of glasses and a large smile holding a large black plant. But the smile quickly morphed into a shocked and concerned face as two of her students were quite and it looked like Enid had just finished crying whereas Wednesday was typing up something on a typewriter. Both of the girls were looking straight at her, well Wednesday was but Enid was looking slightly down but also looking relieved. " Hello girls hope I haven't disrupted anything, but from the look of it you were doing your own separate things. But I am concerned about Enid, Enid why are you crying did something happen?" Enid's head snapped up looking shocked that someone was addressing her distress she remembered though that Wednesday was cold to everyone including her Mother and Father so she thought that was the way that she acted so in about a minute of thinking she said " Oh don't worry Ms Thornhill I'm okay just nicked my arm in the bathroom but I already cleaned and wrapped it so don't worry I am okay." Wednesday looked at Enid confused as she had just defended her and nobody but her mother and father had done that.
"Okay Enid are you sure, anyway where was I, ah yes hello Wednesday my name is Ms Thornhill and I am your dorm mom for the rest of the school year it is good to meet you how are you doing today?" Wednesday looked at Ms Thornhill for a bit trying to figure her out but she looked harmless after the first five seconds of staring at her. " I am good thanks also pleased to meet your acquittance Ms Thornhill anyway I must be getting back to my novel." In her hands Ms Thornhill had a black potted plant Wednesday thought why she had that plant and was about to ask till Ms Thornhill explained, that it was for her because she tried to give out a plant to each of her girls from looking at her file from when she arrived and picked one out to match her personality.
"A black dahlia." Wednesday observes with slight lift on her lips, as Ms Thornhill hands it to her.
Enid looks at Wednesday as she puts the plant on the window on her side of the two girls dorm.
"Well if you two need anything I will be in the greenhouse ,nice to meet you Wednesday I hope you grow to like Nevermore, goodnight girls have a nice night." She grabs the cold metal handle and opens the door and perks up as if she remembered something important, "Oh and lights out is 10pm." then she smiles and shuts the door.
As soon as the door closes both girls, mostly Enid suddenly relax as if someone had cut the strings attached to them making them taught with nervousness, Enid looks over at Wednesday to see what she is doing, mostly doing her novel. While Enid is looking at Wednesday she thinks again how make the other girl more comfortable with her.
When Wednesday looked at Enid she thought how can I get help to get out of here, but instead thought how can I get closer to her unlike how an Addams thinks or feels. Not if you are Gomez and Morticia . Then you feel that, every single second of every hour of every day.
Wednesday shook her head to get that intrusive thought out, Enid caught on that something was wrong with her and asked if she was okay. The response was "Enid even if I was bleeding on the floor with a rusty knife in my stomach, still I will not tell you even if it would save my life." The response from Enid was high pitched giggling. Wednesday looked at Enid with a look that screamed pull yourself together.
As both girls started to get ready for bed, Enid in her bright neon pink pyjamas and Wednesday in her solid black pair they both crawled into their respected beds and both of them laid down ,Wednesday in her usual position arms across her chest, legs straight out and the blanket up to her waist as she closed her eyes she heard a quite "Goodnight Wednesday hope you have a good nice sleep." from across the room as Enid got ready for bed too.
It was 6 am and the only thing you could hear was the clack ,clack, clack from a certain typewriter being used as Wednesday was up and even dressed for the day, she had already been up for about an hour getting ready for the day ahead. "Wednesday?" came a groggy voice from the other side of the dorm. Wednesday's head looked up as she saw a dishevelled Enid sitting up to check what time it is and groaning and flopping back onto her bed when she found out it was 6 am.
Wednesday's eyes rolled around as she found out that her roommate was not a morning person. It was an full hour till Enid got up and started the day, "Good morning Wednesday how was your sleep?" " Is there anything good about this morning? The sky looks awful." As Enid looks up and out of the large circular window, one half in bright pinks and the other plain, to see the sky in a magnificent blue and the sun blaring down on the centre common area. "What do you mean it looks awful Wednesday it looks so nice today it would be amazing to go a walk soon the catch the rays, don't you think?"
"Go out? in that, Enid I would rather stick pins in my eyes then go out in that." Wednesday rolls her eyes for the second time of the day, not to mention it is not even midday and Enid has made Wednesday roll her eyes for the stupid suggestions that have been made by the werewolf. By the time Enid is ready for the day, Wednesday has written to more pages of her novel and then found her parasol, black of course in true Addams fashion, for the sun today. "Right roomie you ready for the day?" "Say that word one more time to me and you will not be the only person late today." Wednesday glares at Enid for a second or ten to make the words sink into the werewolf's mind. Enid gulps, nods and scurries off to breakfast. As she scurries off she didn't notice Wednesday's slight smile and by smile I mean a miniscule amount of lift in her lips, shakes her head and follows Enid down to breakfast.
After breakfast both girls went back to their dorm to chill of about an hour till classes start, so Wednesday thought that she maybe fluster Enid to see what would happen to her so what Wednesday did was she went over to Enid's side of the shared dorm sat down on the bed next to the other girl and leaned up next to her and whispered," Seeing you during breakfast and tearing into that meat made me think about you tearing into me like that." She winked at the flustered werewolf and walked back to her desk to continue her novel, as she sat down on the chair she heard and loud growl from Enid.
Wednesday turned around and looked at Enid and said/asked "Yes Enid is there something you want to say?" Enid got up and stalked up to the black haired girl and growled " Stop this at once or you will regret it truly." Wednesday looked at the still growling werewolf and smirked "Doing, what Enid what am I doing," She rolled her eyes smirked one more time and walked over to her bedside table to grab her book about her favourite unsolved murders of the 18th century. Enid growled one more time to serve as a warning but knowing Wednesday she is going to ignore it. So what Enid did was she walked over to the dark haired girl and grabbed the book out of her hands and put it above her head and asked one more time "Wednesday why did you say that to me did you want to get a reaction out of me, well congratulations you did." At this moment Wednesday looked panicked because, A Enid was holding her book which in this scenario can be the only thing that can calm her down and B the way that Wednesday felt about Enid was still unsure so she wanted to stay away from her for as long as possible.
Wednesday looked alarmed as Enid wondered over and leaned to Wednesday and whispered " I know what you are thinking, you like me don't you." Wednesday's eyes widened but then went back to her regular expression. Enid smirked and walked closer to the black haired girl, wrapped her arm around Wednesday and pulled her close and as this was happening the platted hair girl yelled and stumbled towards the blond and she caught herself on the blond looking up with the most scared expression on her face she drew back like she had been poisoned and ran out of the main room and into the bathroom, slamming the door behind her.
