When Captain America had first come through the door of your workplace, everyone there was thrilled - Steve was a world-famous celebrity, after all. But you were the one who served him, and you served him like any other customer - and that was what made Steve’s visit to the cafe pleasant. He was used to staring and people squealing all around him, so being treated like a normal citizen was refreshing and nice.
And as he initiated some small talk with you, it soon turned to be a proper conversation - and it didn’t take long before Steve had developed a slight crush on you.
So within the next weeks, he came by your cafe quite often, and always smiling and slightly flirting - making you blush and eventually it made Steve gather up his courage and decide to ask you out. His words came out with stutters and it felt like he wanted to back up, to not embarrass himself - he felt like that tiny, skinny man again but when his last words came out and he looked up, he saw you smiling brightly at him, and a strong blush had occupied your face.
“O-oh, I… thought you’d never ask.” you answered to him, before promptly leaning in to place a faint kiss on his cheek, just to see Steve’s face turn as red as yours.
