“I wouldn’t have believed that someday I’m dating a superhero, and you of all people.” you chuckled when you laid your head on Peter’s lap as you watched a movie. “And especially when I had forbidden it from myself. Falling in love.”
Peter snorted. “Yeah, I didn’t believe we’d be together one day either.”
Your relationship hadn’t started well at the first place. You had had a fight with your ex-best friend, and it was the day they cut ties with you - they had written things about you to your classroom’s WhatsApp group and now everyone had been glaring at you the whole day as your ex-best friend was well liked person in your class.
You had stormed along the hallways and crashed on Peter, and yelled at him for not looking where he was going. You hadn’t apologized and that resulted in you and Peter having frustration on each other. Ned was, of course, on Peter’s side, as he should as you had been a complete dickhead at him. Peter tried to stay out of it, and you just glared at him when he came across you in the hallways, you knew it was wrong to do so but you channeled all your hate towards your ex-best friend on Peter.
But after some time of bickering and glaring, during summer vacation, you realized it isn’t you, and it isn’t fair for Peter to get treated like that by you. So after the summer vacation, you apologized, almost crying over how shitty person you had been. And Peter, being a compassionate person, forgave you.
You didn’t plan on talking with him after that, but Peter saw you were lonely and that you were harassed by your ex-best friend and their friends, so he offered you a helping hand.
One thing led to another, and you befriended him. And after some time you had developed the biggest crush on him. But you couldn’t fall in love with him, you were practically a bully towards him just a year earlier. But still, you did.
You never admitted it though - to your surprise, it was Peter who said he likes you. You both were flustered about it, not knowing if it was wise, but after some time you found yourselves sharing a kiss at the Central Park.
You had accidentally fallen in love with him - but it was the best thing that had happened in a while to you.
