Work Text:
Jenna hadn't meant to hide her relationship from her friends. Just like she hadn’t meant to fall for Gwendoline. She still couldn’t believe Gwendoline Christie, (the actress/model/most stunning woman in the world) was her girlfriend. A few months ago she would have laughed in the face of anyone merely suggesting the idea. But here she was, sneaking around the Wednesday premiere after-party with Gwendoline so the rest of the cast wouldn’t spot them. After they started dating they decided that it would be better to not tell anyone about their relationship, Gwendoline was certain that it would cause a discourse and with Jenna finally gaining the attention she deserved a scandal wouldn't be good for her career. And since everything that happened during the making of Wednesday seemed to get out, Gwen was hiding it from her friends as well. As far as anyone else was concerned she was still just the coworker who Jenna had a girl crush on. This may have been the case a few weeks ago, but since that night on the set the bickering and teasing had turned more romantic and sincere.
Plus they did other things as well now. Things Jenna really enjoyed.
So while everyone still thought that they were work friends, nothing could be less true as Jenna led Gwen into her hotel room. The blonde started taking her heels off as Jenna locked the door in a hurry, hearing a soft laugh from where Gwendoline was sitting on the bed. Jenna quickly climbed on top of her.
She closed the distance not a second later to feel the taste of the other woman’s lips on hers. The brunette would never tire of kissing Gwen. The woman always managed to look like she was stolen from a museum, but she was something else when she looked like this, hair slightly messy, her pupils blown up and her lipstick smudged from the kissing.
Her white blazer was halfway down her arms and her blouse half open. A moan escaped Jenna’s lips as the blonde moved her lips down to her jaw. She tilted her head so Gwendoline would have better access and felt her smirk against her skin. Jenna pulled Gwendoline’s blazer down her arms the rest of the way, hands then traveling down the blonde's body and untucking Gwen's blouse when her phone interrupted.
“I'll go turn it off“ A growl escaped Jenna as she pulled back from Gwendoline.
“It's Hunter, I'll call him back later,” Jenna happily got back to her previous activity after turning off her phone. However, seconds later she heard her name being yelled through the door. She groaned as she pulled back from Gwen for a second time.
“Jenna?” It was Hunter’s voice. “Jenna, are you in your room? There’s a guy downstairs, a producer. He says he wants to meet you.”
Jenna looked at Gwendoline conflicted with what to do, the blonde held her face with one hand and started to tidy her hair and lipstick up, so Jenna wouldn't look like she had just been making out. “Go, we'll continue later.”
“I’ll be there in a few!” Jenna called back after giving the other woman a quick peck on the lips.
The next time they got interrupted they weren’t even in the hotel. The moment Jenna had given Gwendoline that adoring look that usually appeared on her face whenever the blonde spoke, they were giving an interview. In London and not in the mood to get interrupted by one of their colleagues again, they went to Gwendoline's apartment. The moment they stepped through the door and into Gwen's living room, the blonde placed kisses all over the younger woman's face. Jenna tilted her head to have better access and when Gwen continued to kiss her all over except for where she wanted it the most, Jenna tangled her hand on her hair pulling the blonde down and finally kissing her on the lips. Gwendoline let out a small moan when Jenna bit her lower lip. Gwen’s hands were underneath Jenna’s shirt, tracing her nails through the brunette's skin.
Gwen’s hands moved upwards towards Jenna’s breasts and the woman moaned at the touch. She felt the blonde smirk against her mouth at the sound but was too preoccupied to pay much attention to it.
“Up.” Gwen demanded in a low voice, after walking Jenna backwards until she hit a tall desk near the entrance. Jenna obliged and jumped up to sit on the desk. Gwendoline moved her mouth to Jenna's neck. However, before either of them could get any more into it, there was a sound at the door that made them pull apart. Gwen almost flung herself away from Jenna, who was still sitting on the desk and quickly pulling her shirt down so it wasn’t showcasing her entire midriff.
“Gwen are you home?” A voice called from outside. The door opened and Giles’ head poked through the opening.
"Giles, what are you doing here?” Gwendoline asked, running her hands through her hair. Jenna was feeling nervous, it was the first time she was seeing Gwen's ex-boyfriend (and surprisingly, her best friend) in person, she couldn’t help the chuckle that came out of her mouth at the awkward situation. Gwen looked disheveled, her lips were swollen, and her clothes were rumpled. Her cheeks were tinged pink and if you asked Jenna, she thought she’d never looked better.
The sound caught Giles’s attention.
“You're…Jenna- what? No!" The man said with confusion in his expression and clearly holding in a laugh, looking between the two of them, stopping on Gwendoline for a while before looking back at the guest. "Well hello, wasn't expecting anyone here today, what are you doing here?” Well, I was about to do her. Jenna fought the urge to speak her thoughts out loud, now more annoyed than nervous.
“Jenna is here to discuss acting…stuff.” "Huh...sure, I just came to pick up my sketch book…" Giles said, walking away and quickly returning. "It was a pleasure to meet you."
The brunette nodded but wasn’t really following the interaction as her thoughts drove off.
“Bye Giles” she eventually heard Gwendoline say and she was snapped out of her thoughts.
“Ughhh will we ever be able to just make out in peace?” Jenna groaned. The blonde moved to stand between Jenna’s legs again and pressed a kiss against her forehead.
“I’m sorry but I have to go deal with work, Giles wants to do a fitting for Sandman.” Gwen sighed, not wanting to leave the woman sitting on her furniture any more than Jenna wanted her to leave. “I’ll make up for it tonight. And I'll talk to Giles, so there won’t be any interruptions, okay?”
“Yeah, yeah okay. It’s a date. Now, go, deal with your Lucifer stuff. I’ll go see if Emma wants to hang out to pass the time.”
“I’ll see you tonight?” Gwen asked, pressing a kiss to Jenna’s lips this time.
“Tonight.” Jenna confirmed and kissed her girlfriend one last time before they parted ways.
That night, after they’d eaten dinner together, they were lying on the couch in the blonde’s apartment.
The tv was on but neither of them was paying attention to the movie that was playing. Jenna was lazily draped across Gwen’s lap, her back against the woman. She was distracted by Gwendoline's hand that was moving in circles on her stomach.
“This movie sucks,” Jenna declared even though she had no idea what it was about. She turned her head around so she could look at Gwen. A mischievous grin spread onto her face. “I remember you making me a promise this afternoon? Care to keep it?”
Gwendoline raised her brow in false judgment before raising her hand to her chin in mocking thought. “Weird, I can't remember. Are you sure I promised anything?”
“Don’t worry. I’ll help you remember.” Jenna turned around so she was straddling Gwendoline's lap and trailed her hands up and down the woman's sides. She leaned in to press a kiss on the blonde’s collarbone.
“Ring any bells?” Jenna murmured against pale skin.
Gwen shook her head, “Not really.”
Jenna placed several more kisses on Gwen’s skin, each one a little higher than the one before, “How about now?”
“Hmmm, maybe I remember a bit.” Jenna moved up to Gwen’s face and kissed her chin and her cheek and then the corner of her mouth. She felt Gwen’s breath on her skin.
“Now?”
“Almost,” the blonde whispered low, looking into Jenna’s eyes. The brunette placed a soft kiss on Gwen's mouth. As she pulled back Gwendoline chased her lips and she smirked, satisfied with the reaction she had on the other woman.
“Yeah I think I remember now,” Gwen breathed before connecting their lips again. The woman’s hands moved to Jenna’s shirt and tugged on it. Getting the hint, the brunette broke their kiss for only a second so she could take her shirt off, letting it fall to the floor, accidentally knocking her phone down, not that she could be bothered by it when she had a still clothed goddess in front of her. Jenna raised her eyebrows at Gwendoline who raised her arms above her head and smirked at Jenna before pulling her shirt over her head and throwing it on the floor.
Their lips connected again and the kiss got more heated. Jenna felt Gwendoline reach around her back so she could take off her bra when she heard someone yell.
“Oh god you were right!”
Both women startled at the sound and Jenna immediately jumped back, reaching for her shirt on the floor and seeing her phone open in a group video chat.
“Wow, I can't believe my eyes.” Naomi said, Joy and Emma next to her on the screen.
“What the hell guys!?” Jenna crossed her arms and scowled at the people her phone had called when it fell. Jenna put her shirt on and picked up the phone, turning it away from Gwendoline so her friends could only see her face.
"You were the one who called the group chat, we were just too stunned to leave." Percy said.
The blonde finally caught up with the situation and put her shirt back on, moving to stand next to Jenna, glaring at Jenna's cast friends. “A bit of a crime that you decided to stay and watch.”
“The real crime is that we had to witness that,” Hunter mumbled. Jenna muted him and after a second in silence Joy spoke up. “What Hunter means to say is, good for you guys that you’re having fun,”
Then it was Naomi turn to speak, "I think it's totally cool, and love wins and all that but also fuck you both because now I own a lot of money to Hunter.”
"Money? You were betting on my love life?!"
Jenna stared them down, waiting for someone to tell her what the hell they were going on about, finally unmuting Hunter.
“Okay so, I was certain that you had feelings for Gwendoline, so we made a bet, and now it seems I won!” He began, “I knew that you were hiding something but then you and Gwendoline were suddenly being a lot more touchy with each other and you called her Gwen and I came to the conclusion that you were probably sleeping together, and I had just won a lot of money from Naomi if that was true, but she didn’t believe me, even though your heart eyes towards each other kind of gave it away, so I still had to prove it to her someway and you two you were being all sneaky but now I think there's no doubts left.” Hunter had a triumphant look on his face, not so shocked anymore.
“Yeah you guys, thanks a lot,” Naomi said sarcastically.
Jenna sighed and looked at Gwen who had a preoccupied look on her face, she mouthed at Jenna if she was sure she could trust them and after Jenna confirmed with a nod of her head Gwendoline seemed to relax, shrugging at her that it was okay.
“Yeah, okay you got us. Gwen and I have been dating for a couple of months now. The only reason we hid it was because we didn’t want it to cause drama in the media. Or have you all up in our business. Happy?” Jenna said, rolling her eyes. Her friends nodded. At least they had the dignity to look a bit ashamed at the situation.
Jenna felt two arms wrap around her and her face immediately softened as she felt Gwen press against her back.
“Plus it was fun, sneaking around.” Gwen giggled at that and Jenna turned her face to look at her. “Although it’s also fun to just kiss you whenever I want.” She pressed a kiss on Gwendoline’s jaw.
“Ugh, gross. Are we going to have to deal with this all the time now? I would have rather you didn’t know we knew,” Joy groaned at the prospect, but the small smile on her lips betrayed her.
“We’re really happy for you. You look happy, and don't worry what we saw won't leave this call." Emma smiled at Jenna and Jenna nodded in thanks.
She squeezed Gwen’s arm around her waist. Emma was right, she was really happy. Speaking of… “Okay, time to end the call, like. Right. Now. And if anyone calls until at least lunch time tomorrow, I will kill them.” Jenna said in her stern Wednesday voice.
“You do realize you look way less threatening while you’re cuddling with someone a head taller than you?” Naomi noted, smirking at the two of them.
“BYE.” Jenna said, pressing to end the call. Jenna sighed. She was not looking forward to dealing with all of that when they went out tomorrow. Good thing she already knew what to do to take her mind off it for a while. She turned around and a sly smile came on her face as she looked at Gwendoline.
“So, where were we?”
