Taehyung and Jungkook had a cozy and comfortable morning. Sleeping until the afternoon since it’s their first vacation in a couple of years.
They spent their morning like always lazily exchanging kisses while waking up and getting ready for the day.
It’s finally Christmas Eve and before traveling to Daegu for Christmas eve dinner with their parents Taehyung and Jungkook decide to go shopping for some last minute presents to kill time.
They walk into a ginormous mall, hiking up their masks and hoods enough so people don’t recognize them.
The plus side of dating one of your bandmates is that you can go anywhere together and act playful without people batting an eye, but hand holding would probably be too suspicious Jungkook thinks as he lets go of Taehyung’s hand.
They walk around for a bit just enjoying the beautifully decorated mall. Christmas lights are strung up everywhere and in the mall’s center there is a big Christmas tree with toy reindeers where kids are running around playing.
They head to one of the small clothing shops and start browsing around to see if there is anything they should buy.
While the older gets distracted by one of the scarfs and considers buying it for his mother, Jungkook comes up behind him and places a cute Santa Claus hat on Tae and he jumps on him, his whole body wrapping around Taehyung easily.
“You’re such a baby,” Taehyung laughs, sounding very fond of JK, making sure no one is around to see them while they mess around.
Jungkook is triumphantly grinning at his boyfriend, kissing his cheek when Tae pinches his waist and Jungkook jumps down with a squeak pouting.
When Taehyung turns around he is already being dragged toward the ugly Christmas sweater aisle by his adorable boyfriend whining that they need festive clothes and Taehyung thinks he will give Jungkook the whole world just to make him smile.
When they are finished exploring Jungkook leads them back to the car and the younger starts driving them to a mysterious destination.
“Come on Jungkookie, tell me where we’re going” Tae exclaims, but Jungkook just smiles mumbling that it’s a surprise.

“It’s so magical” Taehyung says while they are walking towards Tae’s birthday project that ARMY’s have prepared.
They take pictures, videos and explore, enjoying the colorful scenery.
Jungkook films Taehyung as he walks along the massive wall that is decorated like his songs.
He walks past the first part decorated by roses and a sign in the middle that reads Singularity then walks past a part of the wall where there is a three layered cake on a table and three pictures of Tae as well as some small teddy bears. He can’t help, but smile brightly under his white mask as he walks forward.
He sees the part of the wall that is decorated like his stage for Inner Child with a white cloud and a horse from the carousel. Walking he admires another part that is decorated like Sweet Night with a small brown bear in the middle and a beautiful purple background. He stops for a little bit just realizing how lucky he truly is. He then continues walking past the wall that is inspired by his room which was in their album BE concept photos with tiny violins hung up and a brown 1990s chair.
And lastly he reaches the part of the wall that is inspired by Snow Flower with the little human that is wearing a yellow sweater, holding an umbrella over his head protecting the small, delicate plant in the snow. Tae looks at the camera and slides to where the little human stands so it looks like Tae is the one holding the umbrella.
Jungkook smiles while pressing the button to stop recording his adorable boyfriend as more people walk past them.

It's already dark outside, the bright, colorful Christmas lights that are hung up across Daegu are illuminating the streets while the fluffy snow falls from the sky and onto the car.
The town's hustle and bustle can be heard even during Christmas eve which is not surprising considering there are always people that are buying last minute gifts or snacks to take to gatherings during the holidays.
Jungkook is looking out of the window, admiring the view when the car hits a bump on the road and he quietly shrieks, squeezing his hands tighter while holding the seat belt.
"Relax, baby" Taehyung says, putting his hand on Jungkook's knee while he drives with one hand and in any other situation Jungkook would find it extremely hot, but definitely not right now.
Jungkook glares at Taehyung from the passenger's side.
"I can't believe you are so calm about all of this," Jungkook mutters, turning his head around and staring at Taehyung's profile.
"There is nothing to be worried about, especially during the most wonderful time of the year" Tae says cheekily, taking both of his hands and doing a right-hand turn, but when the action is complete he quickly puts his hand back on Jungkook's thigh as a way to reassure the younger.
"You are a meanie" Kook mutters relaxing a little and watching the buildings disappear while they drive.

When Taehyung parks the car, Jungkook checks his phone one last time before they both exit the vehicle.
Before Tae has even closed the car door Jungkook is already next to him, taking his hand in his own to feel warmer and closer to the other.
Taehyung frowns noticing how anxious the younger really is, he cups his cheeks feeling the cold skin under his palms and smiles reassuringly.
"Kookie, baby, sweetheart, you are really cute, but please stop worrying your pretty little head over this, everything will be perfect" Taehyung says, staring straight into Jungkook's starry eyes so the younger can see how honest he is.
"What if they don't like me?" Jungkook whines, placing his hands in Tae's jacket pockets, pulling them closer.
"They've known you for as long as I've known you, you've literally met them dozens of times" Taehyung deadpans.
It’s true, Jungkook has met Tae’s parents quite a few times, he has even had lunch with them, but it’s different this time. Tae and JK have been together for a couple of years now, but because of their hectic schedule it will be the first time Jungkook meets Taehyung parents after they’ve officially become boyfriends.
"Yeah, but then I was your friend or bandmate and it's not just your family, both of our families will be there. What if they don’t get along?" Jungkook pouts while the soft snow falls from the sky.
"Baby, our parents are best friends," Taehyung laughs lightly, squeezing Kook's cheeks so his lips jut out.
"Besides, I'm pretty sure they have known about our not so platonic feelings for each other longer than we have," Taehyung says, kissing Jungkook's forehead.
They take the bags of presents and go towards the big apartment complex situated near the city's center.

They let themselves into the apartment, not wanting to disturb the others. It's cozy and while the couple are taking off their shoes and jackets they bask in the warmth.
Jungkook is wearing a red V-neck sweater and black jeans with cute Santa Claus socks while Tae is wearing a white turtleneck sweater and loosely fitted, brown pants.
When they walk into the living room Jungkook can't help, but think that Tae is right. Everything will be perfect about tonight because the sight that greets them, makes their hearts burst full of love.
Jingle Bell Rock is playing in the background and the first thing that Jungkook sees is his brother teasing Tae's younger brother and sister while wrapping presents near the bright Christmas tree.
Next, he sees their parents walking in from the kitchen. Their mothers are carrying some snacks while their dads are trying to carry all of the drinks, but stumbling and struggling because Jungkook’s dad is telling lame knock knock jokes.
He sees their doggies Bam and Yeontan dressed as reindeers, playing with the chew toys they have bought.
And while the current scene is unfolding in front of them he feels strong arms encircling his waist.
“See? Nothing to worry about” the older man says and Jungkook feels a gentle kiss on his neck right on the mole where Tae loves kissing him.

The night is spent laughing and cuddling the older. They eat delicious food prepared by their parents, play games and open presents.
Jungkook can’t believe how lucky he is. He was just a young boy when he joined Big Hit and now he’s a strong, intelligent man. He has his family with him, the other BTS members that are also like family to him, their fans ARMY and he has his wonderful boyfriend Taehyung.
This year has been hard on them because they still have to hide their blossoming relationship from the world just like they have been doing since they started accepting their feelings.
With all the ridiculous rumors going around it has been especially difficult, but Jungkook would endure it all again just to be with the love of his life, the person that makes him the happiest.

While all of them are sitting comfortably around the table talking to one another, Jungkook remembers something Jimin had texted the group chat earlier so he escapes from Taehyung's strong bear hug and grabs his hand leading him near the Christmas tree.
“What are you doing?” Tae asks, his lips quirking into a small smile, swaying slightly because of the alcohol. He hears the melody of his new song Christmas Tree playing softly in the background and can’t help, but reminisce. After all, he did write the song for the younger man as a gift.
Truth be told, when he was given the opportunity to compose the main OST for Our Beloved Summer he was a little nervous because he really couldn’t think about anything other than Jungkook so he took inspiration from his love for the younger to write the love song.
Jungkook has slowly, but surely become his muse, his everything.
He has only fond memories about the song. He played it for the younger while they were in the studio working on the next BTS album. After listening to it they couldn’t keep their hands to themselves which annoyed some of the producers, but Taehyung could care less because the smile on Jungkook’s face was everything he had ever wanted.
And even now as he is being dragged by the younger, the melody playing in the background, he can see Jungkook’s pretty smile making Tae’s Christmas that much better.
“Jiminie texted the group chat to send pictures of us spending our holidays together,” Jungkook whispers excitedly as he positions Taehyung behind him. Phone already in hand he raises it up enough so the Christmas tree is visible.
As Jungkook is taking the picture Taehyung wraps his arms around Kook’s waist and kisses his cheek making the younger flustered and almost drop his phone while taking the picture.
Jungkook sends the picture to the group chat with flushed cheeks and Taehyung continues to kiss and tickle him while their parents watch the scene unfold, happy that the two have found each other in this cold world because their love is as colorful and bright as Christmas lights.
