Chapter 1: Hello To a New World

Chapter Text

Everything was going well.

Everything was going well. They saved the universe, other Kacchan was doing better. They were all going home. Kirishima, Kaminari, Jiro, Uraraka, Todoroki, Ashido, Kacchan and him finally walked through the portal that was supposed to get them back home for a good night’s rest. They were supposed to interrogate Izuku about everything after they went back.

Then why the hell aren’t they home?!

Where the hell even are they. It looks like the fucking end of the world! Everything is destroyed. Asphalt blocks are everywhere. The ground is destroyed. The buildings are destroyed. There are no humans in sight. Was this how the end of the world looked like?

Where the fuck were they?!

“What the fuck..?” Katsuki let out a breath.

“What the fuck?”

“Let’s all calm down and think logically.” In a split-second, Midoriya Izuku turned to Hero Deku. He started to mentally count everyone. No one’s missing. Good.

Next, he looked around for anything that might show where they were. Nothing. “Earphone Jack, please search around for any signs of life,” he said. It took Jiro a couple seconds to process before she understood that this was a mission now. They were heroes after all, that was their job. “Roger,” she said and put her earphone jack to the ground and put her quirk to use. Everyone stood silent as she did her job.

“I found life not too far from here,” she said after a while. “Let’s go, we need to know what happened here,” he ordered. She nodded and started walking, careful not to accidently trigger a chain of calling debris. Everyone started following after her.

Izuku looked around while they walked. The destroyed range was huge. It was still destroyed to where his eyes could reach.

What the hell happened here.

Suddenly, Uraraka stopped, so everyone else stopped. She grabbed something that looked like a sign from the floor and dusted it off. Coughing a little as a result. That was..

Everyone looked at the sign. ‘Welcome to U.A’ ..

No.. “This is U.A..” Kirishima said in disbelief. “But why..?” Kaminari said. “Let’s just go..” Jiro’s voice was full of sympathy, but she’s decided to keep going. Everyone looked at her silently. “She’s right, we don’t know what could be happening while we’re here wasting time,” Deku then said. With a nod, everyone was back to moving forward with the atmosphere dropped.

After a couple minutes of walking, Jiro stopped. “We’re here,” she said. Deku looked at her and nodded hesitantly. They were in front of what looked like a small cave formed from the remains of a building.

Anything could be waiting for them inside, be it a villain ready to attack or a severely injured citizen.

Giving Jiro the most reassuring smile he could manage at the moment, Izuku moved forward to look inside.

Izuku expected a lot of things. He expected a villain to immediately attack. He expected an injured 70-year-old that needed medical attention.

What he did not expect, however, was to find seven of his classmates, all of whom were deeply injured, looking at him with terror clear in their eyes.

“Ashido-san! What happened here?!” Izuku immediately moved forward to check their injuries. He didn’t move too fast; bearing in mind that there were changes between his universe and this one too, they may not know him here like the previous universe, or they may know him as a different person. “S-stay away!” she screamed, trying her best to crawl away from his reach.

Okay, he expected that. That was a normal reaction from a terrified person.

The rest of his group showed up behind him. “Can we all please calm down? I am Todoroki Shoto, we are here from an alternate universe, and we would like to know what happened so we could try to help,” Todoroki, yet again, saved them with his composure. Izuku would have messed this up, he knows he would have.

Everyone was silent. Comprehending. Processing. Observing. Then;

“W-wait, Bakugo..?” Alternate Kirishima seemingly just realized his presence. “No.. way..” Suddenly, everyone sitting started struggling to stand despite their injuries. Kacchan looked at them in confusion.

“W-what do you want, Deku?” Uraraka was trying and failing to hide her fear. “Just- let Bakugo go, take me instead! please..” Alternate Kirishima pleaded.

“What the hell?” Kacchan muttered. “E-everyone.. Look, I don’t know what I did here, but it’s not me. Well it is me, but you know, it’s practically not me because--” Izuku continued muttering, and everyone else looked at him weirdly.

While Izuku continued to talk, the others ignored him and started to talk themselves.

“Could he really be from another universe?” Uraraka asked.

“Does that mean we’re not in danger?” Iida said.

“But how could we trust him?” Ashido asked.

“If he’d wanted to hurt us he would have a long time ago..” Tokoyami stated.

“I don’t care you guys, Bakubro is here.” Kirishima said.

By the time he finished mumbling, the conversation had died down. “Sorry.. bad habit,” he said. “So, you’re really from another dimension?” Tokoyami cautiously asked. “Yes, I don’t know who am I here, but in my dimension, I’m with you all training to be a hero!” Izuku said with his trademark sun-like smile.

“A hero in training.. Oh how I’ve missed that,” Alternate Ashido stared off, seemingly remembering the good times. “Just what the hell happened here?” Kacchan muttered. “Bakubro.. before we start all of this.. can I please hug you?” alternate Kirishima said. “No, what the fuck?” he immediately responded.

…“Please..”

Katsuki stood silent for a moment before, “Ugh, I don’t have a choice do I?”

Katsuki would never admit it, but from the moment his friends found out the truth about what he did, it kind of hurt how they’ve ignored him. As much as he knew he deserved it, the hateful looks his friends gave him hurt, they hurt so much he’s been considering abandoning his pride and just apologizing to everyone just for them to stop those looks.

That, and the fact that he’s worried from how Kirishima looks, was he the one that died this time?

Kirishima slowly stood up, but immediately fell again. he tried a couple more times even though his injuries looked like they couldn’t take the pressure. He slowly walked towards him and slowly hugged him.

The hug that Kirishima gave him was everything he needed. It was warm and welcoming and kind and caring and Katsuki felt like he was a human who was allowed to have feelings again. God, he really didn’t deserve that hug.

When Kirishima let go, Katsuki was looking away. “Now, what the hell happened here, other Ashido?” Katsuki said. “Okay so before we go through with this, can we use something other than ‘other Ashido’? Maybe use our first names and we’ll use your last?” Ashi-Mina said. “Yeah, good idea, well except for Bakubro of course.. and Deku-san, can we call you something else because the name brings a lot of tension to the room?” Eijiro said. Wow, that sounds weird even in his mind. “Yeah, of course! I’m Izuku, Midoriya Izuku” Deku said.

“Can we finally get to the part where you tell us what happened now?” Ashido said, annoyed. “Yeah.. where do we start?” Denki asked. “Right at the beginning!” Uraraka cheered. “Okay then.. It all started a week ago,” Eijiro started, “we were taking a normal class,”

Flashback:

“Ne, ne, Kirishima! What will you do in the summer break?” Mina jumped up and down. “I’ll go visit my parents, I haven’t seen them in a while!” Eijiro answers. “Me too, me too! We’ll probably travel to Americ-”

Suddenly, the news shifted. ‘Emergency, a villain going by the name “Deku” is on the loose. The top ten heroes are after him, but he seems to be defeating all ten at once. Please evacuate immediately.’

-Wait wait wait-

End of flashback

“Hey! Let me finish first!” Eijiro told Ashido.

She grinned, “sorry, sorry!”

“So.. I’m a villain here..” Izuku said. “Not just a villain, bro. You’re the most powerful one to ever exist,” Eijiro said.

“I wonder how Bakugo reacted, he was probably the only one that even knew him at U.A,” Uraraka said.

“If you just LET HIM CONTINUE!” Mina shouted. “Sorry, sorry, continue Eijiro,” Uraraka laughed.

“As I was saying,”

Back to flashback:

“What the hell?” Mina said. “Bakubro, we should go and help evacuate.. right?” Eijiro started but then trailed off when he actually saw Bakugo. Bakugo looked pale. Like really pale. Terrified kind of pale. “Bakubro..?” he tried again. “Deku.. fuck..” he whispered.

Suddenly, the world shook. What the hell was happening. Boom!!

An explosion, one after another. Things were getting destroyed. “We have to go help!!” Ochako screamed. The whole class ran. Fuck. This was a disaster. Everything was getting destroyed. They can see the fight far away. Who Eijiro assumed to be Villain Deku was flying while easily fighting the top ten heroes! He looked like he was playing.. like he could end them all in the blink of an eye if he wanted to.

Heroes number four and five were deeply injured. Number seven was probably dead. Number one (Endeavor) was unconscious. The rest were getting tired. The whole place was destroyed. The whole city, hundreds of dead bodies were lying on the floor. “Fuck. Fuck FUCK” Bakugo let off a couple explosions. “YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!!”

Dead? What does he mean?

Suddenly, the fight stopped. Deku looked at Bakugo.

“Kacchan! I was looking for you!!” he said.

Kacchan? Who the hell is this?

“Miss me?” he was getting closer, “I’m not quirkless anymore, Kacchan! I’m not useless! Do you still hate me?” he was terrifyingly cheerful. “Bakubro..?” Eijiro whispered. No answer. Bakugo was frozen.

“Answer me, Katsuki.” And just like that, he turned deadly serious. “You know this is all your fault, right? You did this to me. You turned me into a villain. You did this, Kacchan!” Bakugo looked down. What?

“And if you surrender yourself to me, I may just not kill everyone,” Deku smiled.

What?

Eijiro was having a hard time processing everything that he didn’t notice Bakugo moving towards Deku until he was too late. “Bakubro, no!! What are you doing! You can’t trust his words either way, he’s a villain!” he screamed whatever he could to convince Bakugo to just come back, Bakubro! Bakugo looked backwards. “I knew him since we were in the wombs, Kirishima, he’s not just a villain” he sadly smiled and continued walking towards Deku.

“Bakugo!!” everyone started screaming for him. The moment he reached Deku, Deku touched the floor and Bakugo got teleported away. “NO!!!” Eijiro cried.

“Well, I hope to never see any of you again,” Villain Deku said with a psychotic smile. What does he mean?

Suddenly, he shot the U.A building down with his quirk. It was falling on them! “Run!!” Mineta screamed. Everyone scrambled away. The thing was falling, fast. Everyone ran as fast as they could. “Watch out!!” Momo screamed as she pushed Jiro away from a falling debris. “Yao-Momo!!” Jiro screamed. “Just.. go.. Jiro-san,” Momo said. The blood from her wound was increasing more and more by the second. “no..” Kyoka whispered.

Eijiro went and lifted Momo up. “Let’s go..” he whispered. Everyone nodded.

By the time they were in a temporarily safe place, they were completely taken over. They found themselves in the most stable cave they could find, but of course, not everyone managed to be here. Eijiro started to count everyone. Jiro, Denki, Momo, Uraraka, Todoroki, Mina, Tokoyami, Iida, and himself. They all had major injuries. Momo was still unconscious with a huge gash in her side. Uraraka was also unconscious from having a huge debris stone falling on her. One that was bigger than her quirk could handle for more than a few seconds. Without Uraraka’s quirk, they wouldn’t have reached in time. Uraraka would have died.

Eijiro had a broken rib and two broken legs, it was a miracle they were still even alive. The rest of them had some deep wounds but were thankfully still conscious.

End of flashback.

“And this is where we’ve been for the past week,” Eijiro explained. “So.. you don’t know anything about the rest of the class?” Uraraka asked. “No.. we can only hope they survived..” Mina quietly said. “So, Momo is still out?” Kirishima asked. Eijiro nodded. “Ochako woke up three days ago, Momo didn’t yet,” Mina explained.

“Wait, so how do you eat?” Midoriya asked. “Almost very two days, one person goes outside to try and fetch remains of food that they could find,” Kyoka answered. “We try to be as careful as possible; he could still be out there,” she said.

Katsuki took a moment to let everything sink in.

“Let’s see.. who’s fault could this be.. AGAIN,” Jiro suddenly shouted. She took a moment to think, and she realized that every single problem that has happened from the beginning of this whole universe travelling shit was because of Bakugo.

Katsuki looked away, not even thinking about responding. “D-do you guys know something we don’t?” Eijiro asked.

“Oh we know a lot” Ashido laughed bitterly. “Well, can you please tell us?” Iida asked.

“What do you want to know?” Todoroki asked. “I want to know who ‘Deku’ is, what’s his relation to Bakugo, and why does ‘Deku’ hate him,” Eijiro said.

“I guess I should start by introducing myself again. I’m Izuku Midoriya, in my second year of my dream hero school, U.A. Kacchan is my childhood friend,” Izuku said.

Katsuki hated how he defined him. They weren’t friends. They were never friends. Because Katsuki is an asshole. “I wouldn’t say friends if I were you,” Kirishima said. Katsuki hadn’t expected someone to actually say it out loud.

“What do you mean?” Eijiro asked. “We’re originally here because of what I think is a mistake in the dimensional portal,” Ashido said, “before coming here, we were in another dimension where Midoriya was dead. We traveled to the past of that dimension and let’s just say.. what we saw wasn’t pleasant,” she said.

“What did you see…?” Mina wasn’t sure if she wanted to know. “In short, Bakugo used to physically abuse Midoriya” Todoroki cut straight to the point. There were several gasps in the room, but Eijiro was starting to connect the puzzle. “And where did that lead?” he asked. “in our universe it led to nothing, thankfully. In the universe we were in before this one, it led to suicide,” Todoroki said. A couple more gasps could be heard. “In your universe I would suspect he went missing,” he said.

“Oh,” Eijiro said.

Oh

“We have to save him. Please, we gotta save Bakubro!” Eijiro begged.

Katsuki looked at him weirdly. “You shouldn’t want to save me after what you heard,” he said.

“What are you talking about? Bakubro’s my best friend. Do you expect me to be happy that he’s in pain, just because of some new information about something that happened in the past?” he said. “I mean, no offence, Midoriya, but Bakugo has helped me so much. He may have done that before, but I’m sure he’s changed. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have gone with Villain Deku just out of pure guilt,” he said.

Izuku looked at the rest of his group. “See?” he said.

“Midobro, he didn’t see it like we did,” Kaminari said. The rest nodded. Izuku sighed. Really?

“Wait.. how did you know he went because of guilt?” Bakugo asked. “I could see it in his eyes. His eyes said ‘don’t look for me’. He didn’t want to be saved. He felt like he deserved it,” Eijiro answered.

Ashido looked at Katsuki in disbelieve. “What? It’s not like I’m the one who went to villain Deku, Don’t look at me like that.”

“T-that doesn’t change anything. What he did doesn’t change just because he regrets it. He may have done something to atone for what he did here, but he didn’t in our universe. A-and you could be mistaken. Maybe it wasn’t guilt. Maybe it was because he was trying to stop the fight,” Ashido fought back, deciding to ignore Bakugo.

Eijiro sighed. “Whatever you say,” he said.

They remained silent for a while, no one having anything else to say.

“Soo, now what?” Ochako said. “We go get Bakubro now that we have you guys’ support,” Eijiro said as a matter-of-factly.

“No. As much as I would love to do that right now, a couple of teenagers with good quirks can’t take out a villain who took out the whole hero society with ease,” Izuku said.

“So what? We just stand here while we’re sure Bakugo’s in danger?” Ochako asked. “…I don’t know. We should think of a plan,” Izuku said.

Suddenly, an idea popped in Kaminari’s mind. “How about we go back to our universe and get support and come back here?” he said. “That’s.. actually not a bad idea,” Jiro said. Kaminari’s eyes widened. “You just said my idea is good!” he jumped up and down. “Kaminari, focus,” Midoriya said. “Sorry..” he pouted like a little kid.

“Yeah, but first of all we need to know what the error was last time,” Izuku started as he opened his bag to get the portal out.

Only, he couldn’t find it.

 Shit.

“What? Where is it?” he sputtered. “What?” Todoroki asked. “Where’s the portal?” he asked, searching again.

Still nothing.

“What?” Katsuki demanded, “Which one of you fuckers took it?” he asked, pointing at the other universe. “Us?! You were the ones who came out of nowhere claiming you were us from another universe. How should we even trust you?” Iida said.

“Okay, okay, l-let’s not blame each other here, this will get us nowhere. We need to work together,” Izuku said, “does anyone here know who might’ve took it?” he asked.

Silence..

“U-um?-”

“It’s him.” Shoto cut Izuku off. “It’s villain Deku. He’s the only one with the power to teleport objects from a distance,” he said.

“Oh.”

“So in the end, we’ll go meet him after all?” Todoroki said. “W-wait!” Eijiro shouted, “can we go too?”

The rest of his group looked pleading. “No, you should stay here. You’re all injured, and Momo-san is still unconscious. It’s best if you trust us on this one,” Uraraka said. “I promise we will do our best to get Kacchan back,” Izuku said. Katsuki remained silent.

He remained silent because what was he supposed to say? Let’s not go save his alternate self because he deserves it? Let’s just go get the portal and be back because we would be wasting time if we went? Let’s not go there because Katsuki can’t fight him.

They continued to talk about things Katsuki didn’t care about and then they told the other universe goodbye and they left to find Villain Deku. Then, Izuku was back to hero Deku. He gave commands now. When did he start to be the one in control again?

“Earphone Jack, search the area for where Villain Deku might be please,” he said. She nodded, doing as told. Everyone else stood still, not moving an inch. They knew it was already hard enough to find people within great distances.

“Found him. About one kilometer from here.” It took her three minutes. “Where?” Deku asked. “Northeast.” The moment the words left her mouth, everyone started moving. People who could use their quirks to move faster did so, people who didn’t were trained extra hard to be able to catch up quickly.

They moved with Deku leading the way using one for all 20%. Katsuki was right on his tail. And then was Todoroki and Mina, and the rest were following behind.

Five minutes later the building was within sight, so they slowed down. Jiro checked again. “He’s here,” she confirmed. Deku nodded.

Deku swallowed. “Let’s go,” he whispered. They slowly entered what looked like a castle. This wasn’t how Katsuki imagined a villain’s base should look like. But then again, he had the whole world under his control, he could do whatever he wanted. Deku looked at Jiro. ‘Up’ she signed. Sign language was really important at times like these. The carefully made their way upstairs, and finally right outside the open room that Jiro said Villain Deku was in.

Izuku made a mental map of how they moved as they went outside. Before they got the chance to decide how to enter, they heard a dark chuckle from inside. “Well? Come in, come in! I wouldn’t want to leave my guests standing at the door,” he laughed. Crap, they’ve been caught.

Izuku took a breath and opened the door and walked inside with everyone following. “Well, well, what do we have here?” he grinned. “Where’s the portal?” Izuku asked. “What portal? Oh! you mean the tiny device? The one you were saying was ‘really important’?” he laughed.

Fuck this. This was absolutely a game for him. He was overhearing their whole conversation. He knows who they were and what they wanted. “Yes. That one. Give it back,” Izuku commanded.

“Not sure you understand who’s in control here.” Villain Deku smiled. With a snap of a finger, what looked like steel ropes were flying around him. In the blink of an eye, Kaminari, Jiro, Ashido, and Uraraka were tied to the wall and the Iron wasn’t movable. Todoroki used ice to block the chain like rope just in time. Kirishima blocked the steel with his quirk. Izuku and Katsuki jumped upwards.

When the chains were done, the four went back down in a fighting stance, the four beside each other.

“W-what?- let me go!” Ashido struggled. “Mina! Stop, the struggling makes it tighter!” Jiro shouted.

Villain Deku grinned. “Look, I could kill you’re little friends any second. I was actually planning on killing you all when I first found out you were here, but now that I think about it, I would love getting one more Kacchan. Here, I’ll give you a deal. I’ll give you your portal back and promise you the safety of your little ‘friends’ in exchange for only Kacchan, a good deal, don’t ya think?” he said.

“No-” “Ok.”

What!-

“No! what the hell, Kacchan?”

“Yes, shitty Deku! This is all my fault anyways!” he shouted back. “Atta boy!” Deku laughed. “Kacchan, we’re heroes. We don’t just give in to the villain’s wants. We fight!” Izuku shouted back.

“I can’t!”

… “what?”

“Nothing..” he muttered.

Izuku was about to complain when they heard clapping and remembered they had company.  They turned around, and of course, it was Villain Deku. “Look, as much as I’m entertained by the fabulous show, you’ll have to continue this outside. I’ll take my answer tomorrow. Now, out,” he said.

“Wait!” Kirishima? What was he doing? “can we see Bakugo?” he asked.

“You mean the one I have?” Deku asked. Kirishima nodded. “I can, but let me warn you. It’s not pretty,” he smiled. Kirishima nodded. “Okay then.” With another snap, the four on the wall were untied.

“Follow me,” Villain Deku said. They started to walk behind him.

Now that they were in a less tension wrecking position. Izuku could clearly look at his other self’s features. If he excluded the scar running above his left eye and his darker green hair, the two weren’t that much different in looks. The personality though was a different story.

Unlike Izuku, Deku had a really cold look. Like he was ready to kill whoever would stand in his way. He looked like he would do anything just for the sake of it. Just for fun. He felt hurt. This universe was also really close to theirs. He really wondered how that happened. What changed him that much? Or maybe he was always on this thin line between good and bad and something just snapped here. Oh god, he was on this thin line. He could’ve ended up like this. It wasn’t that hard.

“We’re here.”

Oh.

Izuku hasn’t memorized the routes. Shit.

He took a deep breath. How bad could it be, right?

Villain Deku opened the door.

…Fuck

“K-kacchan..”

Izuku felt himself tearing up.. This.. he didn’t even have words to describe it.

Kacchan was half naked with cuts and burns all over his chest and arms and shoulders and face and oh god, this was bad. He was barely conscious. His eyelids were barely open; he probably didn’t register another version of himself standing in front of him. But at least he was breathing. He was probably dehydrated and starving and the cuts were too deep and there were a lot of weapons around him. There were knives and needles and whips and different types of drugs and oh god this was too much.

Okay.. Okay.. Deep breaths.. He can do this..

Fuck…

Unlike Izuku though, Katsuki didn’t feel bad. Was that bad? He was just looking at the tortured version of himself and thinking ‘I deserve more.’

Was that bad? Was it bad to know you deserved something? Of course, that looked like it hurt like a bitch, but he’s deserved every single one of these. Every cut, every bruise, every pain.. That’s how Deku felt, right? That’s how he made him feel.

Kirishima was freaking out. Oh my god. That- that wasn’t right. Kirishima didn’t want this. No.. What will he tell Eijiro?

Suddenly, a groan could be heard from Katsuki. “Kiri..shima?”

“Yes! Yes, I’m here! I’m here, Bakubro!” Before he knew it, Kirishima was immediately beside Katsuki with tears in his eyes. Everyone else except for Bakugo and Izuku ran to stand beside Katsuki. Katsuki was in no way mentally capable to find out about the whole alternate universes scenario.

“E-everyone.. I-I’m glad you’re okay.. I-I was- wor-worried,” he seemed in so much pain. Izuku looked around the room.

“You still want to take his deal, Kacchan?” he whispered to his Kacchan. “I want to, even more now,” he responded. Izuku looked at him with shock-filled eyes. “Don’t look at me like that. We both know I deserve anything that would happen to me,” he said. “You don’t.” Izuku said. “Yes I do.” Bakugo said as he looked away.

“Okay! That’s enough for today! I’ll get your answer tomorrow, Kacchan! Bye bye!” Villain Deku grinned, and suddenly, a portal opened from below and they all fell inside with a couple of screams, leaving only Villain Deku and the Katsuki on the wall in the room.

“Hey Kacchan, as you can see, today looks like a special day, so I was thinking of doing something different, what do you think!” Deku said with over excitement. Said Katsuki nodded his head without hesitation. “I was thinking of reminding you of who you are!” Deku said with a smile, and again, Katsuki nodded. He was looking at the floor.

Deku started humming as he got his favorite knife and turned to Katsuki’s back. He started cutting through Katsuki’s skin, and Katsuki let out the most gut-wrecking scream he’s let since he came here.

Deku didn’t seem to mind though. In fact, he looked prided to be able to get that noise out of The Bakugo Katsuki. With a smile, Deku continued cutting, causing Katsuki to scream more.

When he was done, he took a step back to observe his masterpiece. “Perfect,” he said. Katsuki was left to catch his breath while Deku took out his phone and took a photo of Katsuki’s back.

“What do you think!” he said as he showed him the picture. Katsuki grimaced at what he saw. Not the blood, but what was written.

‘Hero’ it said. He was mocking him. In the most humiliating way possible. ‘You know you deserve it’ a voice said in his mind. So he said nothing.

Was he allowed to die now? Did he atone enough for his mistakes?

“We need to go back! We can’t leave Bakubro hanging there!” Eijiro screamed once Kirishima explained the situation. “I know.. but he’s just too strong! We need to think of a plan..” Uraraka said.

“Either way, we need sleep,” Izuku said slowly. Eijiro looked at him in disbelieve. “If we want to win, we need to be in our best appearance. We need to sleep well to be able to think properly,” he explained. Eijiro was hesitant to nod.

Even if he said that, it’s been two hours and Izuku still can’t bring himself to fall asleep. There’s too much on his mind. The image of Kacchan, tortured and abused just can’t seem to leave his mind. The fact that I did that to him. I was the one that hurt him like that, just doesn’t seem to sit right with him. He did that. Well, technically it’s not him, but it’s still Izuku Midoriya that hurt him.

Does is alternate self ever feel bad for it? Would his classmates think of him any different now that they saw what he could’ve turned to?

He sighed. Thinking about it isn’t going to give him answers. He really needs sleep.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

“-doria! –idoria! Midoriya!”

Huh? That’s Kirishima..?

Izuku groaned. “What’s happening?” he muttered, still very much asleep. “Midoriya, wake up! Bakugo’s missing!”

It took Izuku three seconds for his brain to process and his eyes to snap open. “What?” he immediately asked.

“When we woke up, he wasn’t here,” what turned out to be Eijiro responded. “Shit.”  Izuku stood up. He started to look around him. Kacchan. Kacchan. Kacchan! “Where the fuck is he!” he shouted. “C-calm down please,” Kyoka stuttered. “NO! Don’t tell me to calm down when there is a good chance Kacchan went to Villain Deku!!” he screamed.

“Fuck. Fuck Fuck FUCK!!”

He takes a deep breath. “We’re going to get him,” he said as he started to move. After a couple of steps, he looks back to find everyone standing still and Eijiro looking at them with wide-eyes. “No we’re not.” Izuku looks back in shock. “Uraraka-san?” he asks. “I’m sorry, Deku-kun, but we’re not going. He needs to learn to deal with the consequences of his actions,” she said.

Izuku looked at the rest. Jiro nodded to Uraraka’s words. Slowly, Ashido nodded too. Then Todoroki, and even Kaminari nodded. Kirishima looked hesitant. “I’m sorry, Midoriya, but I can’t just pretend like I didn’t see what I saw in the previous universe,” Todoroki said. and it was true. Todoroki was barely stopping himself from abandoning everything and burning the two Bakugo’s at once for hurting his first ever friend like that. The one who abandoned his ten fingers and his chances of winning at the sports festival just so Todoroki would use his fire side. The one who showed him how to face his problems and that it was okay to feel things.

“No way.. a-are you guys serious?” Izuku asked in disbelieve. They all looked away. “G-guys, what are you talking about? I-it’s Bakubro, your friend!” it was Eijiro who talked next.

“Y-yeah, you can’t just abandon him like that!” Mina said. “Shut it, Mina! You have no idea what we saw! And as much as I hate to side in with a villain, Deku has every right to do whatever he wants with Bakugo,” Ashido said. Mina was too stunned to utter a word. That’s how they felt about their friends. Mina felt utterly disgusted with her other self. She couldn’t believe they were the same person.

Ashido on the other hand was boiling. The disappointment she had felt with her ‘friend’ once she found out what he did to their innocent cinnamon roll didn’t leave her one bit.

“I’m coming with you, Midoriya, I’ve gotta help my best bud,” Eijiro said, and everyone from the other universe nodded. “No you’re not,” Izuku immediately responded, “you’re injured,” he said. “I-I know but!-”

“Eijiro! I know you’re worried, but you should know that you coming along would only be a burden to everyone. I’m sorry, but you can’t come,” Izuku didn’t want to say it like that, but it was the only way he could think of. He didn’t want one more dead person. He already tried his best not to think about where were the other people from this universe or the fact that this group and villain Deku were the only people that he saw or the amount of blood that was on the floor and-

Izuku needed to stop. Eijiro had no argument left after what Midoriya had told him, so he just nodded silently. “Thank you,” Izuku smiled. “Just.. please save him,” he pleaded. “I can’t lose him, Midoriya, not again,” he said. “Don’t worry,” Izuku nodded with determination and well-hidden sympathy so that Eijiro would not misunderstand it for pity.

Izuku had subconsciously started hiding a lot of his concern because Kacchan got mad.

Izuku looked back at his universe. “So, were you guys serious about the fact that you’re not coming…?” he asked. They all looked away shamefully. “Wow.. I- I don’t even know what to say. I’m so disappointed,” he said. And they all looked even more ashamed.

“I’m leaving,” he said. “N-no! Deku-kun, you shouldn’t go, it’s too dangerous!” Uraraka screamed.

“Who would be worth the risk if not my friends?”  Izuku rhetorically asked.

He’s not your friend. She wanted to say. “Goodbye,” Izuku said. Izuku walked away. He will save Kacchan (the two of them) even if it takes him his life. That’s an oath that Izuku had just made to himself.
