Megumi had finally snapped at gojo, and it wasn't as satisfying as he imagined
Megumi wasn't the most social child in the world heck he wasn't social at all, how could he be when he and his sister were left alone by thier lousy parents at such a young age. Megumi didn't like people. At first the only person he cared about was tsumiki, despite being step siblings tsumiki never treated megumi like a step brother and only ever showed him love stepping up and taking care of them both when she was only six so of course megumi loved tsumiki a lot, then there was yuta when megumi had first met yuta he didn't really care about him alot but eventually they grew close, yuta was shy yet sweet and he had a very hard life even worst then megumi and tsumiki megumi felt a kinship with him built upon by thier possession of cursed energy something tsumiki couldn't relate to he would even go as far and say that yuta was like a older brother to him. Megumi loved and really cared about tsumiki and yuta, but then there was gojo
Now megumi didn't hate gojo, the guy had done so much for him megumi would never say it to him but he was grateful to gojo for taking in he and tsumiki and making sure he wasnt sold to the zenin clan, but besides his gratitude he couldn't stand gojo at all, gojo was so insufferable at times and very immature, megumi hated how unserious gojo was, gojo loved teasing him in particular and it annoyed him megumi didn't think gojo was funny at all but tsumiki and yuta did they'd always luagh at his jokes and seemed to love being around him, but not megumi, gojo always annoyed him so off course he snapped one day
The day megumi had snapped hadn't been any special day, it was any other day and gojo hadn't really done any awful thing to the eight year old, he was just being regular gojo. It was after school and megumi sat outside in the yard petting his demon dogs while doing his English homework, gojo had showed up a grin on his face and megumi griminced
"Hi megumi chan what ya doing" gojo asks like a child and megumi sighs heavily not even trying to attempt to tell gojo to stop calling him 'megumi chan'
"Go away gojo I'm busy" megumi says not taking his eyes off his English textbook
"Are you doing homework megumi chan let me help you" gojo says skipping to where the eight year old was
"I don't need your help" megumi says shifting from the white haired man his dogs following him
"Let me help, you never let me help with your homework" gojo says taking a sit next to megumi peering into the textbook even as megumi tries to cover it, why couldn't go bother tsumiki or yuta
"Im okay on my own" megumi answers
"Megumi look" gojo says pointing his finger at something confusing megumi, megumi turns his head and gojo quickly swipes the textbook while megumi was distracted
"Now lets see" gojo says, megumi turns to him glaring
"Give it back" megumi says reaching out for it, gojo stands up holding the book out of reach further annoying megumi
"I want to help megumi chan" gojo says still raising it far from megumi's little arms
"Stop calling me that and give me back my book now" megumi says, he didn't have time for gojo's teasing or games his anger was building up
"It's ok to ask for help megumi come on stop resisting" gojo says a big grin on his face, megumi lunges at gojo hitting him but because of his infinity it obviously doesn't land
"My infinity is up little man it's not gonna hurt, then again your eight so it probably wouldn't hurt whether infinity was up or not" gojo says
Megumi has had it, he has had enough of his stupid games and his annoying smile, his anger bubbles up and he combusts
"IM TIRED OF YOU, I HATE YOU YOUR A BIG BULLY I WISH YOU'D GO AWAY" megumi screams startling gojo, megumi clenches his fist, running off to his room making his dogs dissapear
Gojo stands still startled, that was the first time he's ever heard megumi yell normally he'd scowl and insult him but he never actually yelled, and what he'd said about had he really been bullying megumi, he was just messing with him and trying to spend time with him. Now that he thought about it his jokes and teasing did go too far sometimes, it wasn't intentional he only did that to try and get megumi to open up more but it looks liked it had backfired
"Maybe i did go too far" gojo thinks "I'll give him some space from now on" he says again, he wasn't great at the taking care of kids thing but his gut was telling him it was the right thing to do
During dinner that night, gojo didn't see megumi, he didn't go to him to put him to bed instead asking tsumiki to help him out, megumi on the other hand spent the rest of the day in his room still in a bad mood
Megumi was an observant child so he easily noticed gojo's changed demeanor towards him, gojo hadn't teased him in days, he's left megumi alone only doing his parental duties and only bothering megumi when necessary. Megumi should be happy about this finally he'd have peace but he wasn't he didn't like how gojo was behaving he felt off, gojo was still smiling and making jokes like usual but it felt different and megumi knew it wasn't gojo who had suddenly changed, he saw the white haired man was still overly affectionate with tsumiki and yuta but not him and he didn't understand untill he remembers
"I HATE YOU I WISH YOU'D GO AWAY" he had said that day, was that gojo had changed his attitude towards him
He should be happy but he wasn't, he wanted gojo to stop teasing him but he didn't want him to stop showing him love, he hated to admit it but he missed gojo, he missed when he'd ruffle his hair, tickle him, call him megumi chan, pick him up and spin him around, tell him jokes, he missed it all he never should have yelled at him now he felt bad
Megumi sat on his bed staring at his ceiling when he remembers something tsumiki had told him
"Megumi if you hurt someone you should always say your sorry"
"Off course" megumi says, he gets up from the bed and goes to gojo's room. Megumi stands outside contemplating before taking a deep breath and knocking
"Come in" gojo's voice says, megumi opens the door and walks in
Gojo was sat up in his bed, shades off he has a look of suprise when he sees megumi
"Hey gumi do you need something" gojo asks,he wondered what megumi wanted
Megumi shifts his weight from feet to feet awkwardly before finally speaking
"Gojo I'm sorry" megumi says looking down, gojo gives him a confused look
"For" he asks
"For yelling at you the other day" megumi answers, still not looking at gojo
"Oh gumi you don't need to have to apologise for that, if anything i should be apologizing for what i did, i know i can be annoying i promise not to bother you again" gojo says and megumi head shoots up fast
"NO, i mean i didn't mean it, I don't hate you and i don't want you to go away i was just upset i really like spending time with you" megumi says looking serious, gojo was stunned, megumi answerd really fast and he sounded genuine it warmed gojo's heart
"Aww really megumi, i love spending time with you too" gojo says before adding "did you miss me" it didn't sound teasing just genuine so megumi answers honestly
"Y...yes" he said looking embarrassed
"In that case i missed you too" gojo says lifting his arms up and Immeadiately megumi runs up and hugs him tightly
"I still promise to be less insufferable" gojo says
"Its ok i like you the way you are, we all do" megumi says
"Im glad" gojo says kissing megumi's forheaed
