Chapter None, the Prologue (Aka the quick run through early childhood, you don't necessarily need to read this)
Mr and Mrs Malfoy, of Malfoy manor, ~Pureblood estates~™, were proud to say that they were perfectly pureblood, thank you very much. They were the last people you’d expect to be involved in anything mundane or muggle, because they just didn’t hold with such nonsense. Mr Malfoy was the wealthiest pureblood in a continent called Europe, which was pretty dang rich. He was a tall, blonde man with hardly any moustache, although he did have a hella cool snake cane. Mrs Malfoy was thin and a Black and had twice the usual amount of authority, which came in very useful as she spent so much of her time craning over classified information, spying on the ministry. The Malfoys had a small son called Draco and in their opinion there was no finer boy anywhere. His older sister agreed. The Malfoys had everything they wanted (see previously, wealthiest purebloods in Europe), but they also had a secret, and their greatest fear was that somebody would discover it.
1978, 13th March
Lucithia Virgo Malfoy, heiress to the wealthy pureblood Malfoy family, was born at 7:37 weighing 2.7kg. Her birth was celebrated by many members of pureblood society including (but not limited to) her aunt and uncle Lestrange and her mother's paternal first cousin/third cousin Regulus Black. It was decided within the day that she (and any sibling she may have) would go to Hogwarts as per her mothers recommendation as opposed to her Father's preferred Durmstrang (which only permitted Half or Purebloods).
1978, 13th June
Lucithia awoke, all of three months old to the sound of voices. Her vision, fuzzy as it may be, showed that nobody was nearby. But the whispers of mudblood and blood traitors continued as they lulled her back to sleep. Little Lucithia had no idea what the voices were saying, or at least, had no idea what they meant. For the time being at least.
1978, 1st July
On the first of July, Lucithia is introduced to Voldemort. He claims that she will go on to be a credit to the Malfoy family and pureblood society. She drools and throws a toy golden snitch (RealGoldToysForTheMegaRich©) near him.
1978, 12th November
She takes her first step, then falls on her face (her parents have an animated photo of the event).
1978, 25th December
Lucithia's checklist: Can: Do all the regular things babies can, for example her totally normal very weak and uncontrollable bursts of legillimency and can read Voldemort's mind, because as it turns out he doesn't think a child can read minds. Can't: Read, or comprehend anything in Voldemort's mind. Just sees green flashes and frankly that's a heck of a lot more interesting than Voldemort trying to use her as a sounding board for nefarious plots.
