Work Text:

Something's wrong with Cale Henituse.

The man who does nothing but eat, sleep, rest, and tend to his small farm is now doing something peculiar.

He's playing with the children.

He's willingly playing with the children.

And even if it's not that weird considering the man would play with the children every now and then, the children actually need to persuade him first.

The children have to make the man promise since everyone knows that Cale is someone who never breaks his promises. They first need to coax the man.

But now, it's Cale who approached the children and its Cale who gave the children the idea to play with him.

It's Cale who initiated the current contest that is happening at Harris Village.

A contest to know who can get the most number of loops on a hullahoop.

The hullahoop is made of vines that was created by Cale using one of his Ancient powers. The vines is braided and is pretty light yet sturdy, Cale thinks it's perfect.

Cale only did it once and then Raon and Dodori saw his creation and so the two young Dragon challenged each other to figure out who can create the sturdiest and lightest hoop.

The tiger cubs and the wolf pups then joined the fray and so chaos insured.

And Cale Henituse is the center of the chaos.

And that what's make it weird.

Cale is still the center after an hour even though by now, the lazy redhead would get himself out of the children grasp and into a shade to sleep.

That is how everyone that is at Harris Village saw the Young Master.

...

Choi Han can't believe his eyes.

His Liege is casually introducing their previous world's games to the children of their current world and is even showing them some demonstrations.

Choi Han can't help but watch as his Liege initiated a hullahoop contest, him winning said contest since  the other children can't seem to understand how to properly play the said toy.

Some adults got curious too and joined them.

Rosalyn, Hans, Hilsman and even Mila-nim and Eruhaben-nim got roped in someway, somehow.

Choi Han then watch as his Liege use his wood Ancient power again to create a rope made out of vines.

Cale then hold both ends and started skipping.

The children saw and so Ron gave them some ropes and they all started skipping as well.

They all played the game and then a second contest started.

The 10 wolf pups and the 8 tiger cubs with On and Hong challenges each other.

Cale and Dodori are holding both ends of a rather long rope and one out of the two groups of ten children is on the middle trying to jump at the exact same time.

The two groups of children is having a competition on which group has the most number of successful simultaneous jump.

The tiger cubs, On and Hong won.

Rosalyn, Hans, Hilsman, Cale, Eruhaben-nim, Mila-nim, Rasheel-nim, Choi Han, Mary, and the half-blood created a third team and as frustrating as it was, their group has the least number of successful jumps.

It was Choi Han who suggested another game to play.

They played a game that is called 'The fortress'.

Choi Han can't really remember what it's called but at least he can still remember how to play it.

Cale is not sure if this is how it was played either.

There's two group, the ten wolf pups decided to play together while the 8 tiger cubs and the two cats decided to play together again.

There's only one flag, Raon is the one who's holding it between the two groups.

Raon then throws it into the air. Maes and Ignes, the oldest of the tiger cubs, jumps high up into the air and both of them tries to catch it.

Maes managed to get it first.

Maes then run into their fortress, a simple slab of rock with an upright wood. Maes tied the flag at the top and then moved at the back, all 9 of his little siblings in front of him.

They then faced of.

The adults cheering on the side.

Cale just watch everything while drinking a cup of cold lemonade.

Ines, a cub, sprinted and attempted to grab the flag only to get caught by Marlin, a pup.

Marlin then guided Ines into a space that has a rectangle drawn underneath.

It's the jail.

Hong then sprinted along with On, On heading to the flag while Hong went to Ines.

On was nearly caught by Shelby, a pup.

On retreated and only then did the pups noticed that Ines was out of jail.

This went on for a few minutes, the tiger cubs and the kittens attempting to steal the flag, and the wolf pups on defense.

Every now and then a cub will be caught on their attempt and will then be put on jail as hostage.

The other group of children will then take them and then another attempt will happen.

Cale watch as they become more coordinated, he watches as On formed a circle and then took the position of the leader, Ignes handing said position to the younger feline.

Cale feels proud as he watch On delegate and strategies their next move, feels the swell of undeniable pride for his little girl.

Hong managed to steal the flag.

Team Feline cheered along with the adults.

And so the role switched.

Team Felines on defense while Team Canid on offense.

This went on for a few more minutes.

Every now and then, the owner of the flag changes.

They played for 15 more minutes.

The 30 minutes mark ended.

It's a tie.

The flag being yanked by the youngest pup but sadly, the pups didn't manage to tie it on their fortress.

Everyone cheers for the fun game.

Beacrox is angry with the pups appearance seeing as every single one of them are dirty and caked with dust.

They took a brake.

Cale then introduces another game.

Pass the message.

There's two team, the adults vs. the children.

And seeing as the numbers isn't even, Beacrox, Ron, Lock, Dodori, Gashan, joined the previous group of adults that played the simultaneous jumping rope.

Now there's fifteen, and even though they are very much outnumbered, everyone still deemed it quits since the players are a group of experienced adults.

(Though the 20 children are experienced too...)

20 children vs. 15 adults (adolescent for Lock and Dodori.

The Game is Pass the Messages.

The first one to pass the message is the team of adults.

This is not normally how the game was played, but then again, everyone is experienced and said game is literally out of this world.

The adults formed a circle, their arms linked and their pointer finger positioned at the ready.

"Our group choose Grampa Ron."

"Ho?"

Ohn declared, Ron's eyebrow quirked at the blatant challenge of his heir.

Yet again, something flared within Cale as he saw his daughter's antics and the fact that no one is against her decision.

Since they choose Ron, it just means that the 'message' would start at Ron.

The game was easy.

The messenger would tap the person beside them, sending the 'message', and the person would then tap the next person. The 'message' would have to go back to the 'Messager', in this case is Ron.

It will be Ron who gets to decide when to send the 'message' and so every pair of eyes, all twenty of them, is watching his pointer finger in their linked arms.

None of the children is blinking.

Focused.

Then out of no where.

"Got it"

The messenger have received the 'message'.

The children didn't notice that Ron have tapped Lock, the person on his right. The children actually expects that Ron would rather tap, Beacrox, the person on his left.

But Ron didn't.

The adults won.
