“Oh, so you are here. Well, I have not much to offer, not even tea, sure you want to stay around?”
The voice of a man spoke in a sympathetic tone, awaiting for an answer, one which he would receive silently.
“That so? Well then, care to at least listen to a short story in the meantime?”
The fae would once again receive his answer silently.
“Great! Let me start then”
He said, extending his hand to grab a book beside his rocking chair, placing it on his lap, and opening it.
“Once upon a time, in an enchanted forest, a mage and a fairy met. This was their first time meeting.”
“Fate is an odd thing, it can be beautiful, it can be tragic, but it's always with purpose. The mage and the fairy were fated to meet and travel together through the beautiful lands of the fairies.”
“The moment they met, a sense of familiarity existed between both as mages. One that only grow once they learned they were like-minded”
“As acquaintances with similar circumstances, they commenced their journey together”
“It's natural to go along with someone if you feel a similarity with them, but soon enough they kept going along simply to have fun and root for each other”
“And in the end, they traveled together out of the deep bond they had formed with each other”
“The mage and the fairy met many people, overcame many challenges, and had much fun together”
“But of course, these were not but distractions from the bleak scenario they were in.”
“Both the mage and the fairy were fated to separate eventually. For it was the fairy’s destiny to save Britain, just as the mage fought to save his own world”
“Tragedies occurred, they saw as many of the friends they had made perished. Yet they moved forward always realizing there was no looking back”
“The times of fun had ended, and reality struck as they had to fulfill their calling.”
“Thanks to her dear friend, who had given her such happy memories, and shown her what love was, she finished her mission”
“The fairy would pull through to aid the mage one more time, and together they would vanish the final evil that threatened them”
“Making their farewells. The fairy finally fell into a deep slumber in the inner sea of the planet, where twinkling stars would always shine upon it.”
“A place where only peace can be known, even with that in mind, the separation was still bittersweet”
“But you know, as I said, Fate can be an odd thing.”
“The mage proceeded to accomplish his mission thanks to all of those that helped him and where no longer at his side”
“Yet he never forgot any of them”
“Hope was the one thing that never was lost, and so maybe it was that which produced a miracle. Maybe it was the mage that after so long he found a way to wish for something so impossible”
“The fairy found herself awoken one day, and with a new set determination, made her way through the inner sea to go back to the world above”
“Once upon a time. A fairy and a mage met in an enchanted forest, this was not their first time meeting. Holding hands, they did not plan to separate again”
Closing the book, the fairy would put it aside on the table where it laid before. He would lay back into the rocking chair, a small smile on his face, unknown emotions behind it as he closed his eyes.
“The end”
