I've got it all covered, I'm sleepwalking right now and I think I'll manage to finish this before the sun rises, at least!
Since you're in the botany department, I have an inquiry:
Is it true that plants tend to grow better in cheerful environments rather than depressing ones?
I understand if you cannot reply, I'm sure you must be asleep, lucky you.

"Good morning, sleepy head." You put a cup of hot coffee next to the familiar blue-haired girl.
"[Name]. Thank you.." She murmured with tiredness apparent in her voice. Her eyes were groggy and you were sure that her dark circles were bigger than usual ever since she was assigned to a group project. She sipped slowly on the warm coffee, being careful not to burn herself while her eyes were never leaving her laptop screen.
"Let me see your essay." You took a seat next to her, she tilted her screen so you could see the essay she sacrificed her sleep for. Well, she wrote half of it while she was sleepwalking but still.
"This is longer than I expected." You read through the essay while Layla continued to sip her coffee. "I'm sure my teammate would've written more, I didn't want to disappoint." She spoke.
"Who is your teammate anyway?" You pushed her laptop to face her again. She blinked tiredly. She said something quietly but you didn't really pick up on it, she said something that rhymed with heighten?
"Sorry?" You scooted closer to hear what she was saying. "Alhaitham." She spoke again, louder.
"WHAT?!" You said a little bit too loud, causing Layla to jump. "[Name]! We're in a library!" She said, embarrassed and aware of the gazes of other students.
"Sorry.." You slapped a hand against your mouth after realizing. "But Alhaitham?" You furrowed your eyebrows. "I couldn't imagine you working with him!"
"I know, I know. It's tiring to work with someone so.. Ambitious.." You knew she meant the word 'asshole' but you let that slide for now. Layla was never the type to talk badly about anybody.
"Well, good luck with that." You patted her on the back as encouragement. "By the way, why did you email me? You have my number, don't you?"
"I lost my phone and I was too tired to find it. I found Twirlywhirly playing with it this morning." She sighed. Your phone buzzed against your pocket.

"Shoot! I forgot I have to meet with Tighnari, I'll see you later okay? Good luck!" You waved bye to Layla as you rushed outside the library.
