Azeroth’s Treasure

Summary:

Wrathion may be a savior of Azeroth, with a known reputation and one of the most powerful dragons across the world, but he was still a dragon. He had needs, needs that had been with dragons since old times. The need for Treasure… and what better treasure than Azeroth’s Treasure, Anduin? Do not own Warcraft. Suggested by dxinsider.

Chapter 1: Velen and Turalyon

Chapter Text

In the Lair of Wrathion…

Anduin…

Anduin Lane Wrynn…

King Anduin Lan Wrynn…

High King Anduin Lane Wrynn, the Light’s Servant, the Heart of the Alliance, Friend of the Horde, and Treasure of Azeroth. Just a mere thought of him made Wrathion swoon for that sweet little blond, a golden apple from a forbidden garden, he wanted the taste all to himself. Even in the beginning, he wanted him all to himself. But duty called and he needed to put his desires away for now. Even though Anduin was still a little miffed with him, he could find a way to worm back into his golden heart.

But it shall not be easy, there are eyes watching close over Anduin and weapons ready to cut him to ribbons.

Doesn’t matter, he likes a challenge.

“Oh Anduin, a treasure that not even me can resist.” Wrathion swooned, “Soon you will be all mine.”

Velen and Turalyon

At the Cathedral…

Anduin smiled as he powdered the cookies just right.

It may not be much, but he loves feeding the churchgoers and his people with a fun little treat. Despite being a king, he will always be a priest at heart. He loved giving back and doing something, not just sitting nice and pretty on a throne, doing paperwork, or being stuck in boring meetings. Yes, he knew it was important, but it didn’t make it all the less boring. Anduin was a go-getter, even when he didn’t look like it.

Since times of peace and things were going so smoothly, Anduin finally had time on his hands, and what better way than to feed the people?

“Smells divine. You may the angels weep with jealousy.” Turalyon joked as the smell was delightful.

“You are too kind.” Anduin smiled sweetly, while Velen came in.

“It is nice to see you out and about more. You seemed couped up for so long and I know how much you missed the sunshine.” Velen added as he helped bring out the finished cookies.

“I should be done with this last bunch soon. Do you mind-?”

“Not at all, we will make certain this batch is delivered to the congregation and fans of your cooking,” Turalyon assured.

Or just fans in general.

“Thank you, I really appreciate it.” Anduin thanked them as he stayed behind to keep an eye on his confections.

“Not at all. You have done much; this is only a tiny bit of what we could do for you.” Velen assured then both left the priest with his baking treats.

The two then entered the praying area and distributed the cookies to everyone. That is when he came in.

Wrathion.

“Black Dragon… I knew he would be back.” The paladin growled with anger in his voice.

“I know that holding grudges is a sin, but I think the Light would make an exception for him.” Velen scoffed as the dragon had a lot of nerve to return.

He still remembered consoling sweet Anduin after Wrathion stabbed him in the back and let Garrosh getaway. Then when Varian… when Anduin became king, it was especially hard. It was only now that the King finally healed from the tragic wound. It took love, togetherness, his friends, and many other wonderful things to lift his spirits back up. In the end, it was getting his father’s sword that brought hope to the boy. It was thanks to that hope, after the war, he was able to patch things up with the Horde and started working with them and the Alliance to make a peaceful and better world for all.

Such a sweet dream…

Wrathion being here will only bring problems, open old wounds, and hurt Anduin even more. He won’t let that traitor drag the boy down, not again.

“Do not worry, I have been ready for his return. Just follow my lead.” Turalyon assured the priest as they both approached the dragon.

“Ah, hello Velen and… you wouldn’t happen to be Turalyon, would you? Never thought you would be alive after all this time.” Wrathion grinned that cocky smile, “I pleased to meet you. I am Wrathion, the uncorrupted Black Dragon.”

“It is a pleasure to meet such a famous warrior.” Turalyon fibbed, hiding his anger for the crimes against the King of Stormwind.

“Indeed, it is nice to see you again, Wrathion. What brings you all this way? Surely not convert yourself into a believer of light.” Velen wondered as he tried to play the part of a forgiving soul towards someone who does not deserve it.

“Indeed, I wish not to. I have come to reclaim what I once forgo. I am here for Anduin.” The dragon explained himself with a rose in his hand.

That was the best gift he could offer?

After the turmoil, he caused for the king and for everyone around him…

No, wait, make sure Anduin does not see him.

“He is busy with cooking and wishes not to be disturbed.  In the meantime, you could wait and have a cookie, sit a bit, maybe mingle among the others.” Turalyon offered as Wrathion knew Anduin made them himself.

“Quite a delicacy. Some appetizers before the main course.” Wrathion joked then took a bite from the cookie, “But I think I shall not waste my time with waiting-.”

The dragon then collapsed for the priest sprinkled a bit of a sleeping spell into his food, tasteless and leaving no scent. The congregation didn’t even take notice, for they too share their protectiveness over Anduin.

“Let us shove him into a closet, for now, then make sure Anduin is out of here before he wakes up,” Turalyon advised, then both the servants of the Light picked up the unconscious dragon and stuffed him into a supply room.

Anduin soon arrived with his final batch just as they closed the door.

“What are you both doing in the supply room?” Anduin wondered while giving everyone a warm, fresh cookie.

“We were cleaning up a bit of a mess before it stained the floor, nothing to worry about,” Velen answered, not completely lying.

Yep, they will keep cleaning up that mess, no matter how long it will take.

Chapter 2: King Varian Wrynn

Chapter Text

King Varian Wrynn

Years Ago, Pandaria…

Wrathion would never forget when that blond beauty entered his life, it was as if fate gifted him a present.

He came into his life when they needed to hide him away in the Tavern in the Mists. He was sleeping peacefully while he was covered in bandages and blood. Wrathion heard word that Garrosh cruelly shattered the bones of a prince, who tried for peace. The poor thing was barely hanging on… But Wrathion didn’t think much of him, but all changed when some of the bandages were removed, and he had a chance to talk to him. He was asked to bring food to the prince since the place was heavily occupied by members of the Alliance to keep an eye out.

“Alright, Anduin Lane Wrynn, I brought you some soup and tea-.” He sighed, opening the door but was soon struck by a sight of beauty.

The boy was sitting upright, peering through a window as a small bird took a rest on his bandaged finger. Wrathion had never seen such a beautiful person in all his life. Not just physically, his soul was the warmth of the sun and more valuable than any diamond. This boy was a walking treasure. Anduin turned around with a smile on his face.

“Oh, thank you. Sorry, I was just daydreaming.” Anduin thanked, in a beautifully, breathy, and song-like voice.

What was he?

“No, no, it’s quite alright. You seem like a person who's quite insightful.” Wrathion chuckled at the boy.

“I get that a lot.”

That was where it started. Small conversations, getting to know each other better, a tour around the tavern, a dip in the hot springs… it was a little moment. But it didn’t take long for Varian to take notice of his son’s demeanor towards him, and he didn’t take kindly to the dragon. He started to intervene when they were playing a game.

“Anduin, who’s your new friend? I personally never seen him around here before.” Varian asked as he knew Wrathion was after something from his son.

“This is Wrathion, the uncorrupted Black Dragon. He’s been kind enough to keep me company and he shares similar interests as me.” Anduin introduced with a faint blush on his cheeks.

Varian frowned a bit; he never met a black dragon he liked, and he highly doubted he would like Wrathion.

“That’s quite… interesting.” Varian gritted his teeth.

He feared this day of age when his son began to date and there would be people trying to take advantage of him.

“True, I am quite an interesting creature, and… so is he.” Wrathion swooned over Anduin.

Right, time to intervene.

“Andy, your aunt wanted to visit you and so did the rest of the Alliance. They want to see you and see how you are doing.” Varian informed his son, leading him away from the dragon.

Right.

This means war.

While Varian would take him away to meet with the others, Wrathion would sneak around them to visit the boy. Varian may be a brute, but he’s thankful he’s not that bright. If he was as smart as his son, he would have figured it out. It became routine, like a fairy tale and what made it better was that Varian was often called to his duties in the war.

Which means more fun time.

They were in love.

But then duty called for Wrathion.

Wrathion sighed at the memory. He may have lost his chance to be with Anduin but now he was given a second chance. If he can get past Varian, then there was no way a bunch of old crows would get in his way.

Chapter 3: Genn

Chapter Text

Genn

At Stormwind Keep…

Genn had to give this boy credit; he was a bit of a miracle worker.

This boy, this young, young king, who overcame his grief, led his people to victory, and made peace with the barbaric Horde, all within a year. The boy was a friend to both sides as the fraction leaders treat him like an old friend, (Whispered that out of all the pompous Alliance Leaders, Anduin was the good one), chat with him, and eat sweet treats together. He could tell that they were waiting for the day for Anduin to take the throne, sweet, sweet Anduin. He was a soul without hate or prejudice and a heart of hope for the future. Though sometimes Genn wishes he wasn’t so forgiving, not everyone deserves his kindness.

“Hmm… Do you think it should be near the swamps or near somewhere colder?” Anduin asked, causing Genn to shake out of his thoughts.

“W-what?” The old Worgen stuttered a bit.

“The first Forsaken/Human Village settlement… should we place it near the swamp or the colder environment of the base of the mountain? I mean, the cold could help keep the Forsaken together a bit, but the swamps are also a good place for resources, too. Hmm…” Anduin hummed with thought.

“I think we should take a break. You have been working nonstop for a while now… and it’s about time for lunch.” Genn answered as he still wasn’t fully on board with Anduin’s plan with Sylvanas.

It was called the Hand-in-Hand with Living and Dead Act, a way for the undead to reconnect with their living family members. These Forsaken/Living settlements will be neutral zones to better unite not only the undead and living but also Horde and Alliance. It has been working great so far.

“Yeah, I guess I did forget to eat today. Whoopsie.” Anduin nervously chuckled as he knew how Genn felt about him ‘neglecting his health.’

A few fewer winks of sleep or a skipped meal wouldn’t do too much to him.

“You are far too careless for your own good. I’ll arrange for the chefs to serve you extra food. If you don’t take care of yourself, you’ll work yourself into the ground.” Genn sighed and then ruffled the boy’s hair.

Anduin smiled a bit, this boy his adopted son as he and Genn both needed each other, for the son who fell and the father that was slain.

“Will do.”

When Anduin left the throne room, Genn smelt something outside, something familiar…

Wrathion.

Velen has told him about the dragon’s attempts on his beloved Anduin. It seemed that the dragon needed to be taught a lesson.

“Arrange the launchers, knock him out of the sky,” Genn ordered the knights.

“Yes sir.” They bowed as Genn got himself ready.

Oh, he had practiced, and these little gadgets will be a hindrance to Wrathion, long enough for the barrier spell to be activated. He just needed to hold him back long enough. All were prepared as they awaited his order.

“Fire!”

They launched the green goo in the air as Wrathion tried to avoid it, but it eventually overwhelmed and knocked him into a big tree, sticking him to the branches. The barrier was soon activated and Wrathion growled with irritation in his dragon form.

Genn then joined Anduin for lunch, feeling proud.

Chapter 4: Baine and Jaina

Summary:

Sorry, I have not been writing much, I've been sick. Once I'm better, I'll write more.

Chapter Text

Baine and Jaina

At Thunder Bluff…

Baine was waiting as Anduin’s carriage made its way across the bridge.

He was thrilled to hear his friend would be visiting for a few days. Even when it was a diplomatic mission, it was nice to see Anduin again. He was also thrilled to hear Jaina Proudmoore has returned and would be joining Anduin. He had not heard from the woman since she became so cold and disheartened after what Garrosh had done to her. He was happy to see she had found her heart again. It will make the reunion all the more enjoyable. He made certain that the tribe look presentable as they would soon arrive and then they can lay down some work for peace.

The carriage stopped as Jaina and Anduin came out.

That grin of this was the sunshine itself. He still had trouble moving around with his fake leg and his lucky cane but there were those who were willing to help, Jaina taking a hand and helping him across the terrain.

“Baine old friend, it’s nice to see you again!” Anduin greeted as he finally got his footing and went over to give his buddy a hug.

“Anduin, I am happy you could make it. I have been thrilled to show you my home.” The chieftain greeted the boy.

“It is truly a beautiful place.” Anduin marveled as Jaina approached the two.

There was an uncomfortable silence between Baine and Jaina as Anduin was looking around the beautiful land and the tribes within it.

“It’s nice to see you again, Miss. Proudmoore.” Baine greeted weakly.

“Yes, nice…”

They were both hesitant with the choice of wording.

“I-I’m a little surprise you agreed to accompany the king,” Baine admitted.

“I know, I’m trying to show Anduin I’m done hating and… to make sure Wrathion isn’t around.” She answered, whispering the last part.

They both looked at Anduin, who was greeting the locals and playing with the children.

“You think he may come here?” Baine asked.

“He may try. After all, he came to the cathedral and tried to get into the keep.” Jaina answered as they both agreed.

They needed to keep Wrathion away from Anduin.

At the Waterfalls…

Anduin was starstruck by the beauty of the falls.

“It is a perfect place to swim and enjoy the warm waters of the land. Feel free to enjoy yourself.” The chieftain grinned.

“Thank you.” Anduin grinned as he began to disrobe himself to present his bathing costume.

Jaina then spotted with her eagle eyes, something black and scaley.

“We will join you in a minute, Anduin. We are going to get some drinks.” Jaina lied as Anduin popped out of the water.

“Sounds good.” Anduin hummed as he lay on his back on the water.

While Anduin was enjoying the nature of the land and the water, Jaina and Baine managed to find the cave which would lead straight to Anduin below. It could use good plugging. Baine and Jaina nodded to each other as they covered up the hole. That should have been easy but then they noticed Wrathion tricked them as he was scurrying close to Anduin, who hadn’t noticed yet.

Oh no.

He won’t

Jaina reacted quickly as she summoned a giant pillar to send Wrathion flying away, startling Anduin.

“What was that?” The boy gasped.

“Oh, I saw a scorpion come near you and didn’t want it to hurt you,” Jaina explained, Baine, giving a please look.

It was going to take more than that to get past those two.

Chapter 5: Muradin, Moira, and Falstad

Chapter Text

Muradin, Moira, and Falstad

At Ironforge…

Anduin was bundled up in a big warm coat as he hurried inside with his bodyguards into the warmth of the city.

He used to love the snow when he was a child, but when the Divine Bell fell all those years ago, his body began to suffer more. When it got too cold, he can no longer able to withstand the outside winters anymore, only to enjoy the sight from inside the comforts provided to him. It was a shame but what could be done? He was soon brought inside as the dwarves of Ironforge greeted him with such delight, after all, who could forget the boy who saved their queen, and turned her from a tyrant into a beloved leader? Who could forget that it was he that brought the dwarves together and made them stronger?

“Welcome back, High King!”

“Good to see you again, Lad!”

“The council waits for you!”

Anduin grinned as he waved to them all while being escorted to the council. They looked at the boy sweetly as if he was truly a gem of the Alliance. Once he was brought to the High Seat, the dwarves scoped out the area in case of a certain Black Dragon. There had been reports of him trying to make his way to Anduin and the Alliance (And strangely the Horde) didn’t want that.

So, the two sides will put aside their hate for him, for Anduin. If Anduin knew, he would feel pride that he in a way brought everyone together. Although, it was to control Anduin’s love life. The Dwarves should know to keep a closer look out for Wrathion was able to sneak by with a disappearing spell he bought from some travelers.

At the High Seat…

“Ah, Lad. It’s nice to see you visiting again, you really should take vacations more. Especially with your latest accomplishments.” Moira advised the boy as she offered him some white wine.

“I know, I know. Everyone keeps saying that. ‘Take a break, take a break. You’ll work yourself to the ground.’ But I feel like I’m in a role, I keep pushing and the results have been good. There have been fewer threats to Azeroth, no sign of the demon armies, and the Horde and Alliance have come together. The work we did is having a nice effect.” Anduin grinned as he was playing with Dagran.

“Want to see my toys, Uncle Andy?” Dagran asked in a sweet tone.

“Sure. I’ll be right back everyone.” Anduin promised.

“Take your time, Lad,” Muradin assured.

“Have fun, you two.” Falstad encouraged as all three of them held fake smiles.

Once the two were gone, they got out their hammers. They have a pest to dispose of.

“You can come out, you treacherous dragon, we know you’re here!” Muradin boomed as they spotted the dragon, in his smaller form.

They were swinging at Wrathion as he was taunting them all.

“Come on, you fools. You know that I’ll eventually see Anduin. You can’t keep us apart.”

SMASH!

Moira got a good blow and knocked him to the floor.

“As long as we’re here, we will.”

She then placed him in a cage, took him to the catapults, and launched him out of the city.

“No matter how long it takes, we will.”

Chapter 6: Tyrande and Malfurion

Chapter Text

Tyrande and Malfurion

At Darnassus…

Anduin was meditating under Teldrassil, harmonizing his energy with the tree.

Tyrande recommended this type of meditation as she informed him that it would make him one with nature. To this, to harmonize with the world tree was to harmonize with the world itself. It brought a sense of peace, a sense of connection with everything around them. It was such a pleasant feeling as it felt like his light was the sun and a flower was growing in his heart. Just as it was, Anduin soon realizes he was suddenly surrounded by flowers of all sorts. He then hears a chuckle from the Night Elf Queen, looking at the sights of the sweet King and his gorgeous flowers.

“Well, it seemed to happen sooner than I expected. Seemed Malfurion was correct.” She chuckled a bit, “Your light is unlike the others I have seen. It is usually sharp, burning, and unforgiving for those who come to meditate, but yours, yours is warm, inviting, and so gently, like sunlight itself.”

“Forgive me for bringing additional flowers to Teldrassil. I didn’t know I could do that.” Anduin apologized to the woman.

“No, no, I think it brought more warmth to our beloved. She seems to enjoy your presence.” Tyrande informed, “I only came to inform you of lunch. A ruler must eat to be able to lead.”

Anduin nodded as his stomach began to demand food. It gurgled with want, causing Anduin to blush and Tyrande to laugh a bit. She helped the boy up and led him down the great city of Darnassus, the city was a perfect blend of nature and culture as the Night Elves lived in harmony with their surroundings. Each breath of air here felt like you were right where you needed to be, one with nature and one with the world. Anduin doesn’t visit often but when he does, he felt more himself and more of nature. It was a nice feeling.

Anduin sat down with the other Night Elves for a meal as Malfurion approached his wife, who was watching Anduin, such a sweet, sweet boy.

“It seems the King of the Alliance is enjoying his stay here,” Malurion mentioned.

“Yes, it’s nice to see the king smile again after all he has been put through, what that dragon put him through.” She growled at the thought of Wrathion, “Have you seen any signs of him?”

“Not yet, but if we don’t see him then the trees will.” He trusted while Wrathion was sneaking through the fields of nature.

The dense brush and countless branches acted as a cover for him so that not even the elves could see him. He could see Anduin, beautiful, beautiful Anduin mingling with the Night Elves with a cheerful look on his charming face. He just needed to wait until he was alone… then-.

Suddenly, he felt a vine around his ankle. It began to drag him violently and he was forced to cut it with his claws. Soon the entire forest was attacking him!

It was so loud that Anduin could hear it, even Wrathion’s screams as he was being flung out of the Night Elves’ kingdom!

“See?” Malfurion smiled.

“What was that?” Anduin gasped as he was startled by the noises.

“Oh, probably just a few animals got into a tiff and were brawling a bit.” Tyrande lied, happy to see that dragon out of her forest.

Chapter 7: Valeera Sanguinar and Lor'themar Theron

Chapter Text

Valeera Sanguinar and Lor'themar Theron

At Silvermoon City at the Sunwell…

Anduin marveled at the energies of the mystical place while Valeera and the Leader of the Blood Elves laughed.

The High King has always wanted to see this beautiful place and understand its unique properties, standing close to the well and its mysterious power. The magic swirled and swiveled with energies Anduin had never seen before, wanting to write down everything. The golden glow and secret melody were something of pure imagination, he wanted to know everything, know of its secrets, and see how it can help Azeroth. It was truly something special. Though it uses a different form of magic, it was something to be considered as a treasure, to be protected and never destroyed. Anduin was almost tempted to touch it.

“Careful, young king. I’ve never known a soul who plunged into the waters of the Sunwell and remerged. I don’t think your alliance will be pleased with me to have lost you.” Lor’ warned the young man, who blushed a bit.

“Forgive my brashness, I was just enthralled by the enticing glow of the Sunwell. It is truly a beautiful wonder.” Anduin apologized as Val led him away a bit.

“You wouldn’t be the first, Andy.” She giggled at the young man she protected, “That’s why I’m here to keep you from doing stupid things, Little Brother.”

Anduin giggled a bit as Lor’ approached them.

“The Sunwell is a testament to the strength of the Blood Elves and how to endure the worst of pains. We almost lost this wonderful gift of magic to the sinister scourge and their infamous leader, Arthas. We almost lost it again to our prince, who was mad with power. We will do anything to keep our hearts safe and sound. Thus, we added some measures to keep it so.” He proudly proclaimed, despite the pain, they survived, learned, and thrived.

“I know that many humans have caused you pain-.”

“And many humans brought joy, like you.”

“Me?”

“Yes, I think that more humans should follow your example. In fact, I think most of the fraction should follow your example.” Lor’themar admitted to the human king, the embodiment of goodness and innocence in his eyes.

“I-I’m really nothing special.” Anduin blushed.

“Don’t sell yourself short, Andy. You are truly a beautiful person, and you are someone others should look up to.” Val assured him, “Come on, let’s go to the archery range and sharpen your skills.”

The Blood Elves led the boy to the range as they were keeping a sharp eye out for Wrathion. The dragon was certainly persistent.

But so were they.

While Anduin was launching the arrows toward their targets as Lor’ and Val were aiming for something else. With a special arrow with a net built in, they managed to put a certain creature in its place.

“How about we get some meals? I’m starving.” Val suggested while Anduin was painting hard.

“Sounds good.” Anduin agreed as he followed the Blood Elf while the Regent Lord walked towards where the captive dragon was.

“You are in on it too, are you not?” Wrathion deadpanned while trapped in the net.

“Afraid so. Let’s do so.” Lor’ answered as he dragged the dragon away from Anduin and out of the territory.

Chapter 8: Thrall and Varok

Chapter Text

Thrall and Varok

In Pandaria…

Anduin was quite happy to return to such a place of peace and mystical harmony.

This place would always be a second home to him, so peaceful and wonderful. Sometimes Anduin wished that he could just live here for the rest of his life, but he knew his place was at Stormwind. Pandaria was in a way a place Anduin always dreamed of. They do not wish for war, wish for hate, but rather strive to find a way for all to live together and even love. The High King of the Alliance was more than thrilled to be invited to eat lunch with Thrall and Varok to discuss the possibilities of a peacekeeping project.

“As you can see, if we settle more meetings between the fractions, we can be able to settle on trade routes between the groups,” Thrall advised as they were all sitting around with tea being poured and food being provided.

“Right, and we should also discuss treaties to keep wars from happening again. We will also need to keep an eye out for malevolent forces.” Varok advised as he slurped up some of the ramen that were served with lots of meat and onions.

“I was also thinking that we should also have events, like parties or something. It helps bring people together when there is fun in the mix. Maybe even attend other culture’s events as well to show that we are more than what others present us as.” Anduin suggested as he was excited about their plans for Azeroth.

It may not last long, but it may bring everyone closer, maybe even help them grow and learn a bit more about each other and the world that they walk in. Anduin seemed to be the soul who would be the key to peace and co-existence with these two fractions. This is why so many want to protect him, protect his beauty, and protect the boy’s heart. For he has suffered too much for him to be lost to despair again, they will do anything to keep the hope in his heart, keeping Wrathion away from the boy.

Wrathion caused the boy great pain, and no one wished to forget what was done to him, he betrayed him, freed Garrosh, brought the Scourge here, and had his father killed and abandoned the boy. Yet, he dared to come back after all the pain he brought to him. No way, they were never going to allow the dragon near Anduin ever again.

Speaking of the dragon…

He seemed to try to slip a letter to the boy through a small Pandarian child. Thrall and Varok recognized the wax seal.

Varok would take care of this.

“Excuse me, young thing but who is that letter for?” The old orc asked the child.

“For the pretty king. It’s for him only.” The child answered the big orc while Thrall was distracting Anduin.

“Listen, the king is very, very busy. So, if you could give the letter to me then I could give it to him.” He offered.

It seemed to have worked as the child gave him the letter. He hated to lie to kids, but it was for a good cause.

Wrathion will not hurt him again.

Chapter 9: Sylvanas

Chapter Text

Sylvanas

At Orgrimmar…

Sylanas watched from afar as the boy made his way to the throne room of the War Chief.

That brat… he looked like Lirath, and he acted like him too. A child who wanted nothing more than to become a force of good. A child small, feeble, tiny thing who should just focus on healing and silly things rather than be a fighter. The boy was not made to be a fighter, it was clear. He’s better off as a priest and a diplomat hidden away from the world. This brat should be locked away in Stormwind not outside for Azeroth is a cruel, cruel place. Yet, he was determined to change this cruel world, no matter how much he got hurt.

No matter if he was kidnapped by a dragon.

No matter if he was almost killed by an Orc Assassin.

No matter if he was almost trapped in a nightmare forever.

No matter if he was held hostage by the Dwarves.

No matter if he was shipwrecked on Pandaria.

No matter if the Horde captured him.

No matter if he was crushed by Garrosh.

No matter if… if he was betrayed by Wrathion.

He keeps enduring pain after suffering after anguish. This should have been a reminder to him to keep himself inside the keep. It would be better for him if he did, he should stay home rather than put himself in danger like that. It was the same thing that killed her beloved brother, Lirath. Why didn’t the fools see that?

“King Anduin Lane Wrynn has arrived, my queen,” Nathanos informed the undead elf.

“Well send him in,” Sylanvas ordered.

Nathanos bowed and left to fetch him, while the Banshee Queen can sense the dragon drawing close to the city. Easy enough to fix with abominations.

Inside the negotiation room…

Sylvanas made certain that the meals provided were appropriate for human consumption as she and Anduin talked about their plans for peace.

The High King's smile was too familiar to her, it was like her little brother was smiling back at her.

“I am so happy that you want to start this project with me. I believe we can do some real good by helping the living and dead come back together. No more will families are torn apart fractions, friends can remanence again despite their fall, and we can also banish the notion of Forsaken being monsters-.” Anduin marveled as he was excited about what they planned.

“Yes, yes, it will truly be wonderful. But we should take things one step at a time, Little Lion. Not everyone will be on board with your plan, especially your wolf.” Sylvanas reminded him as she saw a glance of the dragon in his human form, fighting her abomination through a small window.

“Genn can be a bit stubborn. But it is really beneficial-. What was that?” Anduin wondered as there was a ruckus outside.

“Oh, probably a few orcs fighting over who has the biggest muscles.” Sylvanas lied and then sent Nathanos to deal with it.

Soon things quieted down as the dragon flew away, causing Sylvanas to chuckle.

“Now, where are we?”

Chapter 10: Anduin

Chapter Text

Anduin

Outside of Stormwind…

He had finally won.

It was all thanks to N’Zoth’s invasion that he was given an opportunity, even though Wrathion still wants to kill him for what he did. But since this threat emerged and Wrathion is the only one who knows how to stop it… the others can’t interfere. Ha! He loved the look on their faces as he was granted access to the High King of Stormwind. He now had the chance to finally be with Andy again, he can finally be with his love even after everything he suffered from.

Finally, he got his chance.

The doors opened as he held his arms wide open.

“Wrathion…” Anduin uttered as he walked up to the happy dragon.

“Anduin is so good to-.”

POW!!!

Wrathion was down on the ground, more surprised that Anduin had the strength rather than he did that.

“I guess that I deserved that…”

Late at Night in Wrathion’s Room…

It took a lot of convincing and the vision of N’zoth to grant Wrathion a place to stay.

They had a quick dinner and Anduin asked him to wait in his appointed room. The door was opened as Wrathion’s back was towards him. He listened as Anduin walked towards him and climbed into the bed.

“Well?”

“…I’m sorry. I’m sorry I hurt you. I was an idiot.”

“And?”

“A jerk.”

“And?”

“A liar.”

“And?”

“There is a whole list of things wrong with me and the actions I did were greatly heinous and no matter my excuse, there is nothing to justify what I did. I probably shouldn’t even be near you right now and even both fractions wish for me not to be near you.”

“But-?”

“…I love you. Since the day we met I have loved you and every day I dreamed of you. You haunt my every thought and I want to make it up to you.”

Anduin was quiet for a moment then breathed.

“We are going to take things one step at a time. You have a lot to prove to me but if you can prove yourself worthy again, I can forgive you and… I might return to courting you.”

Okay, okay. Wrathion could work with that.

They were not there yet, but they will be. He wasn’t going to ruin it again and the first thing he would give to his love is one of the eyes of Z’noth and made into a nice necklace. That will be his vow, to earn his love again.
