Chapter Text
Asami’s friends were all drunk. Because, of course, they were. It wasn’t enough for them to drag her to this stupid party when she had a full day of classes on Friday, nope. They just had to get absolutely wasted and leave her alone in a random corner.
She absently sipped the mysterious drink in her Solo cup, face screwing up at the bitter taste. Well, so much for a fun night out.
Just as she’d decided to book it and leave, a body slammed right into her and knocked her off balance. She gripped the person’s arm tightly, and the thought briefly crossed her mind that this person was buff as fuck.
“Hey, you!” the person who had collided with her said.
She blinked up at them with surprise. It was a woman her age, and though Asami couldn’t make out her face too well in the darkness of the party, she could tell that she had adorably big blue eyes.
Blue eyes that were staring straight into her soul desperately right now. “Hello? Can you understand me?”
Snapping out of her stupor, Asami straightened and let go of the woman’s arm. “Yeah, sorry about that.”
The woman shook her head. “No, I’m sorry, I rammed into you—actually, no, there’s no time for this.” She huffed out in frustration and frantically looked around the room until her gaze caught on something or someone. Her eyes widened in almost comical panic. “Shit.”
Asami, still very confused at everything going on, ventured to ask, “What’s wrong?”
“Uh—so, my ex is here, and I don’t wanna talk to him, and uh—”
Asami nodded in complete understanding. She understood wanting to get a guy off your back—and when they wouldn’t take no for an answer.
“You need to seem unavailable,” she stated plainly.
The woman sighed in massive relief, though she was still on guard, and her hands still gripped Asami’s shoulders. “Yes, please. Shit, he’s coming over now—”
Asami quickly looked the woman up and down and made up her mind. Her night had been subpar so far, and this woman was plenty attractive and in need of her services.
“I can help with that.”
Asami leaned forward and grabbed the woman’s chin to look into her eyes and ask her for permission to continue. Eyes wide with panic from seeing her ex, she nodded almost imperceptively, and Asami wasted no time in closing the distance between them, capturing the woman’s lips in a kiss. She pressed herself against the woman’s body, feeling the grip on her forearms tighten as Asami’s hands traveled down to hold her waist.
The kiss was fiery and deep, but before Asami lost control and went too far, she pulled away and turned to look at the party scene around them. “Think he’s gone by now?”
“Huh?”
Asami, still in the woman’s hold but not bothered by it in the slightest, twisted back to look at her with a small smirk. “Your ex. Remember?”
“Oh.” The woman shook her head as if chasing the thoughts away and said dismissively, “Yeah, he’s probably gone by now.” She stared at Asami intently. “Hey… what’s your name, by the way?”
Asami tilted her head to one side and wrapped her arms around the woman’s back, pressing their bodies closer together. “It was that good, hm?” she hummed, amused. But she couldn’t deny the fast pounding of her heart as she stared back at the woman and the fact that it really had been that good.
“Asami. I’m Asami. You?”
“Korra.” She smiled and hesitantly cupped Asami’s face, a question in her eyes. “Can...can I kiss you again?”
Asami could not have been more eager in her response, kissing Korra even harder than before.
