Notes:

Consider this: ageswap bedrock bros.

Tommy (25 y'old) is an art teacher that does nothing except drawing and writing philosophical takes

And Techno, well he's just a 16 y'old student who first discovered those writings laying around the art room, stained with blotches of paints

And it's not okay because Tommy is secretly immortal along with Wilbur, the funny English teacher that speaks elegance to high volume and alwys sing sappy sad songs and poems in class.

Techno don't need to know abt the part of both of them being immortals though.

And that philosophical take? That's just a torn paper from Tommy's diary about L'manburg.

Chapter 1: Techno & Tommy | philosophical take

Chapter Text

It was when Techno came to the art room, full of messy paints like usual. The canvas with different sizes and shapes full of abstract and phenomical paintings decorated the room.

"Mr. Innes?" He called into the room, and fro the storeroom, responded to his call."

"Yes?" The teacher shouts, still at the back though. It wasn't long when Tommy get out, seemingly showered with dusts everywhere.

The teacher smiled seeing him, "Oh, it's you! What can i help you with, Techno?" He asked with friendly smile.

Yes, his smile. Techno had remembered why he's so fond of Mr. Innes, now. It was because of his smile that easily crinkles up his eyes, whether a casual or a friendly one. Those smiles are all sincere.

Techno found that he's not all that bothered when it was Mr. Innes smiling at him.

Techno reciprocated that smile, "Well, Sir Wilbur asked me to get his drafts of poems from you," he says.

He wonders what kind of relationships Sir Wilbur and Mr. Innes have.

Sir Wilbur and Mr. Innes are always seen together like old friends, despite there's a three age gap between them. Perhaps they are brothers, judging how close the two are always. Pthers could see it, hell even Techno could see it.

It must've been nice to have someone to fall back.

Tommy laughed a bositerous one.

"Did Will just get you to do his errand? What a shit person he is," Tommy sighed, though there was a tug of a smile on his lips threatening to turn into a grin.

That was also one of the thing Techno like about the teacher.

The comments he made were never hurtful to the students, all banters full of laugh, and it's so easy to fall into his rythm once you talked with him.

"Sit down, or look around. Do whatever you like while I go and fetch his documents," he said, as he went back to the storeroom.

Techno did do what Tommy suggested, he looked around the places and gawks and awes like a kid tasting sweets for the first time. Mr. Innes art pieces could be considered one of the renaissance if he had been born in the earlier year where it started.

Shame that he didn't.

When he looked around, there was one paper, filled with scribbles and writings that caught his attention underneath all the failed arts and testings.

Well, the art teacher never did say anything about 'no touching' policy, so Techno under all circumstances, reaches for the paper

He read and read and can't believe his eyes. The words are so perfectly places and nice to read

Techno knew the teacher had a knack for literatures since Sir Wilbur wouldn't stop babbling everytime Mr. Innes helped him writes a poem but this? The one Techno is holding right now?

[And this kingdom i built from men that are honest yet brave. I watched it fall in the reign of a monarch. These wasted tears, and not a single time had I found home within.]

Maybe he's exaggerating, but Mr. Innes work could be considered as a museum piece! The way he writes in different style, and yet everything seemingly a good point? This is philosophical take, very much so.

And when he'd finished, he heard a sound of something dropping on the ground. He went rigid and stunned, looking up.

His eyes met with Tommy's. There are fear and shock filled in those, and Techno immediately felt guilt creeping up his back.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Innes!" He immediately says, bowing slightly as he hides his embarrassed face from the man.

Tommy clears his throat, picking up the dropped file, "It's nothing," he says, though his voice was wavering, "Can you give this to Wil? You don't want to be late, right?"

"After all, English is your favourite class," Tommy's grin fell naturally, and his gentle voice made the boy looked back at the teacher's face. Flustered, he agreed immediately.

The file now in his hand as he ran his way back to class.

And when Wilbur asked why Techno ran (the boy never run in the corridors as far as he knew), Techno said nothing and avoid the topic, only giving him the file and quickly went back to his seat, like an automated robot.

And if Tommy sent Wilbur a text saying that he messed up, well there's only so much he could share.
