Work Text:
Jihoon was standing in front of the mirror with a white toothbrush in his mouth when his phone notification popped off multiple times, the song Souvenir by Bump of Chicken getting disturbed by the constant popping sound that got him furrowing his brows. It was barely shy into one am, his phone was already in do not disturb mode from an hour ago, which left him with only choices of his parents texting him in the middle of the night (small chance, they were already fast asleep three hours ago after calling him) or his boyfriend.
He peeked at the notifications and concluded it was the latter.

Jihoon paused, blinking a couple times at the message. Did Soonyoung forget they were living in different apartments? There’s no way he would let Soonyoung drive here in the middle of the night. And Jihoon actually needed to sleep for tomorrow’s class. He knew both of them wouldn't have it if his boyfriend actually came.

Deciding to leave it at that, Jihoon spat out his toothpaste and grabbed on his facial wash. The foam lathering his face hindered him from seeing the notifications, but he figured he didn’t need to see them as he heard it first, the repeated knocks at his door. Jihoon sighed, washing his face with water and then intending to let Soonyoung wait before the repeated knocks turned to bangs.
One more peek at the messages got Jihoon rolling his eyes.

The constant banging of the door got Jihoon cursing as he padded his way out from the bathroom to open it. He was planning to turn the knob harshly, stare at his boyfriend menacingly and then spew out retorts about his inability to tell time and just how much Jihoon actually needed to sleep for tomorrow's class.
The plan fell apart even before he finished fully on opening the door as Soonyoung immediately swooped in, his lips slotting over his as he kept Jihoon's jaw in place. the retort died in his tongue, resurrected in a form of a gasp as he felt Soonyoung mapping the inside of his mouth, eager, almost desperate and Jihoon could feel his knees weaken with every swipe of his tongue, his own hands clutching onto Soonyoung's arms for support.
There was a fog in Jihoon's mind as Soonyoung pushed him backwards, his left hand only leaving his jaw to close the door behind him before clutching onto Jihoon's waist that prompted a whimper out of him. Soonyoung's steps were deliberate in contrast from his mouth, making sure that they were walking slowly without them accidentally hitting anything and Jihoon was thankful for his sense of direction had all but failed him, the only thing his brain could figure out was soonyoung, with his leather-gloved hands along his body, faint smell of smoke lingering and lips practically devouring his. Soonyoung, who now had him softly pinned to the wall, leaving him with no place to move and no place he would rather be.
Jihoon was barely able to breathe from the first swing of the door, but what was the need of oxygen when Soonyoung's hand began to wander carefully inside his shirt, drawing circles onto the skin as his grip on his jaw became even tighter? He didn't seem to mind being lightheaded from Soonyoung's kiss, finding himself not caring if somehow it rendered him unconscious.
What a way to go. He faintly thought. From the lips of a beautiful boy. What a way to go down, indeed.
In his haze-induced mind, Jihoon found the intensity of Soonyoung's kiss decreasing, his head angled differently before Soonyoung was kissing him again, this time slowly, the hand on his jaw caressing his cheekbone softly, tongue dipping inside his mouth almost shyly before leaving him with only their lips pressing onto each other. Soonyoung drew back after that, his hot breath fanning over Jihoon’s face before stealing little pecks from the shorter boy, prompting out breathless giggles from them.
Jihoon fluttered his eyes open, finding Soonyoung's still closed, lips cherry shade of red, a new patch of tiger patterned tape on his cheek, their breaths mingling onto one another as time crawled around them. He briefly wondered if Soonyoung wouldn't mind going down from that kiss too.
"Hey," he whispered, his hand moving from their designated place from Soonyoung's arms to his cheeks, softly caressing, pointedly avoiding the tape. "You good?"
Soonyoung mumbled a "mmhm" before nuzzling his nose to Jihoon's cheek, his lips were but feather touches that sent muted sparks throughout his body. "Never better,"
Jihoon smiled, his heart had already been full then, but it was now overflowing with nothing but love towards the man in front of him.
In due time, they would talk about what was bothering Soonyoung (the way some people acted as if they own the world and could trample upon the others), the reason of his fresh scar and bruises (he had defended one of his high school junior from being bullied, but didn't have it within him to fight back because in the end of the day they were just children and he was the adult), and where had he been before (he was at Minghao's, asking for a bandage when he saw Jun was there and was immediately hit with a wave of longing towards his own boyfriend, and so he zoomed through the night with his motorcycle, only texting him as he arrived at Jihoon's)
In due time, Jihoon would scold him to take care of himself more as he slowly peeled the band out to clean the scar, with Soonyoung whining and grimacing in the background. Jihoon would tell him that he couldn't just bang on the doors in midnight hours with Soonyoung pouting as he pulled him to stand between his legs.
Jihoon would slowly ran his hands on his boyfriend's hair, whose eyes were closed in bliss and carefully reach down, whispering that he was proud of him for defending his junior before kissing him.
In due time, Jihoon would know then that Soonyoung would die for his kiss. They would be tangled on Jihoon's sheets, bodies closer than one could ever be, hands intertwined and breaths mingled. Words of ardor softly spilled with fluttering eyes that hinted at passion. Gentle, fluttering kisses and whispers of goodnight exchanged.
Then Jihoon would scold him in the morning for taking away his precious time to sleep, and Soonyoung would tease him, asking if he didn't enjoy it at all. His answer would be in the form of rolling eyes, and his boyfriend would laugh, knowing him way too well.
But that was all in due time. Much later on, as the time finally moved and the earth circled around its axis.
For now, Jihoon could feel Soonyoung's breaths and the beat of his heart. For now, he could still feel the ghost of his lips on his, the heat in which their skin was touching. For now, it was only silence engulfing them and the slow passing of time.
For now, there would only be two of them.
