Chapter Text
Jimin’s life has always been average. He had a very normal life in the city.
He used to be the witty class president, so you couldn’t say he didn’t have friends while living in the city, although those were extremely superficial and didn’t really care about him at all.
But now? Now Jimin is about to move to a tiny town, where everyone knows each other but he doesn’t know anyone. It’s like the tables have turned.
Of course it’s not out of nowhere. Jimin’s family was never planning on moving from the city, but his father company had other plans.
And now, with no chance of free will, Jimin is moving too.
They’re already getting there and when his father said they were moving to a small town, he didn’t think it would be this small.
There’s a neighborhood, a convenience store and places to hang out. It definitely has more trees than the city and there’s a big space with tables and benches outside, full of trees and bushes around, there’s also a basketball field. This is nothing like the city.
Jimin was used to the pollution of the city, whether it was in the air or sound pollution due to the traffic.
But now he was here.
A place where you barely see a car and a place where you can actually hear the birds chirping.
This is nothing like what Jimin is used to.
But now he’s here and there’s no way back even if he wanted to.
They finally reached their new house.
It was a nice two-story house. It was pretty similar to the rest of the houses in the neighborhood, it was nice.
The furniture has already been delivered and some of it even installed, he could see it through the window.
His parents were already opening the door, but Jimin was still looking at the house.
“But if you wanna learn how to cook so much just ask Jin and he’ll teach you!” One boy says to his friend while they’re riding their bikes.
“But Jin will get mad and you know how he is when he gets- Wow.” He stopped, right in front of Jimin. “We’ve never see you before, are you new here?”
Jimin panicked a bit. He wasn’t expecting to just start socializing as soon as he moved. “Well, yeah.” He scratched the back of his neck.
“That’s really cool! Let’s exchange numbers!” The guy says excitedly, his mouth shaped like a heart when he smiles.
“How do i know that you’re not actually a freak trying to kidnap me?” Jimin jokes, well not entirely, you never know.
The other guy laughs. He’s bigger and it shows. He’s wearing a sleeveless shirt and some shorts, which well, is reasonable keeping in mind how hot it is. “Hobi? Hurt someone? He can’t even kill a bug, seriously.” He smiles, showing his dimples.
“Oh then,” Jimin grabs his phone. The fact that he has 0 notifications of his old friends saddens him, but well. “Here.” He hands them his phone.
The two boys save their numbers and save Jimin’s number on their phones too, maybe sensing that Jimin would never message first, so they might as well have his number saved already.
They hand Jimin is phone. “So, you’re ‘hobi’ and you are… Namjoonie?” Jimin asks in confusion, pointing at them.
“Yes, you got it right!” Hoseok laughs. “Oh shit, we gotta go.” He says, looking at the hours.
“Oh we really do, Jin’s gonna be pissed.” Namjoon adds. “Well it was nice to meet you!”
“Yes! Sent us a message if you need anything!” Hoseok say, cheerfully. They get on their bikes and go.
Well this was definitely something.
“Jimin-ah, come inside!” His mother shouts.
Was it going to be like this every day?
[…]
It was the next day, Jimin was extremely exhausted with all this moving stuff. Yesterday he unpacked some things in his room, but it’s far from being finished and now to make it worst, his mom asked him to go to the convenience store and buy some stuff.
No matter how much he argued, he’d have to go. So he dressed up and grabbed his bike. It seems like it’s normal to just ride your bike everywhere here, so maybe he should do it too.
He drove his bicycle there. Seeing the same view as when he was in his father’s car yesterday. But it was nice, it wasn’t boring and dull like the city. Here it was green and there were lots of flowers.
The ride to the convenience store wasn’t long, since well, everything was pretty close to everything here.
He put his bicycle next to the other ones and locked it, for safety reasons.
When he entered the store, it was like he was walking into a normal convenience store. It had everything the convenience store in his city had. Except there wasn’t many people but well.
Jimin walked around the store and grabbed everything his mom said she needed. Eggs, flour… things that didn’t require a car or a big bag.
When he got to the backery section, there were three boys arguing, and well, Jimin wouldn’t care about it, but they’re right in front of what he wants.
“But i want the croissants too.” A doe eyed guy begs.
“And i want the donuts, so why don’t we buy both?” Another guy, who’s incredibly handsome, says.
“I’m literally never letting you two come with me to buy anything ever again!” Another guy sighs. “You’re either getting the donuts or the croissants, so you better choo-“
“Excuse me?” Jimin says. He really just wants to grab what he needs and go home.
“Oh sorry!” The doe eyed guy says and he bows. Which made Jimin panic a bit. Are all people here this respectful and welcoming?
“Wait! You’re new here right?” The handsome guy, who looks like a fluffy bear says. He starts getting close to Jimin’s face as if he’s analyzing him. As if Jimin’s something from out of this world. “We’ve never seen you around, right Kookie? Jin?”
“Nope, never saw him.” The Jin guy says.
“Yeah, i’m new here.” Jimin smiles, out of sympathy, but he really wants to go home. “I was trying to get the-“
“Are you from the city?” The nameless and handsome guy say. “You’re really beautiful.”
He says that and earns a little slap on his arm, from Kookie (?).
“Ouch!” He complains. “Chill, you’re still the most beautiful i’ve ever seen in my life.” He kisses Jungkook’s cheek.
Well, that was a surprise. Jimin himself, doesn’t like to label himself, but he definitely likes boys… he just wasn’t expecting people like him right here in this small area.
“Excuse them, they’re extremely cheesy…” Jin says. “Specially Taehyung.”
Ah, so his name is Taehyung.
“Oh, there’s no problem!” Jimin smiles again. God, his cheeks are starting to hurt. “I just really need to grab that-“
“Oh can you help us?” Taehyung said. “Choose one, donuts or croissants?”
“Oh i’m really indecisive, i’m not the person who should be making that choice.” Jimin confesses.
“Come on! I know you can!”
“I mean, it depends. What did you eat for a snack yesterday?” Jimin asks. Accepting that he’s not getting out of there without helping them. “Was it something sweet?”
“Well, yeah… we ate a cake Jungkook’s mom made for us.” Taehyung answers.
“Then buy the croissants… that way you won’t be eating lots of sugary stuff.” Jimin says. “It’s healthier.” He smiled.
“Then, the croissants it is!” Jin states. “And no arguing!”
And then they continue to go deep into the store.
Jimin sighs and keeps walking.
He pays for his things and gets out.
“Ah really, can’t my days be normal?” Jimin says to himself as he sees some random guy trying to steal his bicycle.
It can’t get worst. So he just walks there. “Do you need something?”
“Oh i don’t really-“ The man starts speaking but gets interrupted when a guy in a black hoodie talks.
“Leave him alone Haesoo, shouldn’t you be in rehab? Do you want me to call the police on you?” The guy says. He sounds intimidating, as for his looks, Jimin can’t be sure since he can barely see his face.
But well, it worked. The man who was trying to steal Jimin eventually left after muttering “sorry” a million times. But so did the other guy, he left before Jimin could even say thank you.
It made Jimin kind of sad, he likes to show his gratefulness, but it’s a bit difficult when the other person just disappears.
Either way, this is a small town, they’ll probably see each other at least once again.
[…]
The week went by and Jimin was more exhausted than ever. He barely went out this week, since he was too occupied with his room decorations. And he still hasn’t finished.
After he came home the other day Hoseok sent him a message, and it kind of scared Jimin because, Hoseok was the one saving his own number, with the nickname he chose.
Hobi :D
Jimin-ssi! Are you busy these days? I haven’t been seeing you around!!!
I was wondering, do you want to go out with me and my friends? They’re really nice guys and won’t kidnap you for sure!
Joon will be there too! :D
6:34 pm
Well, it definitely shocked Jimin… this guy was really expressive in his texts.
(Jimin)
Hi! I’ve been a little occupied with the furniture since i just moved, that’s why i haven’t left my house in a few days.
Plus, it’s so hot, i can’t find the courage to leave my house ehehehe!
And, well… i guess i wouldn’t mind hanging out? As long as everyone’s comfortable!
6:36 pm
Hobi :D
Then it’s a date!
6:37 pm
Well, not actually a date, of course!
[address]
Come to this house on friday by 3 pm, we’ll be there!!
6:39 pm
Now it’s friday, Jimin just ate lunch and now he’s getting ready for the hang out.
He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t a bit anxious, after all, he’s always been nervous on these situations. He’s pretty talkative and out going, but it’s always difficult when you’re the weakest link. Well, not that the other guys are going to bully Jimin… i mean, they could… but that’s not the case…right? Jimin doesn’t even know them, in the end.
He ends up dressing simple clothes and now that he looks at his closet he may have realized that his clothes may be a little shocking to the people who live here, but well.
He dressed a simple lilac shirt, a really large one and white shorts.
And then he went to the address Hoseok sent him with his bike.
He spent the whole way hoping it wasn’t a joke, but then he got there and Hoseok was at the door, waiting for him.
“Hi Hi Jiminie!!” He shouts happily. “This is Jungkookie’s house, not mine, but you can put your bike here next to ours.”
Jungkookie?
Jimin did so and then entered the house. It was a sweet home. There were pictures everywhere, family photos.
But Jimin couldn’t focus on that since Hoseok was grabbing his hand and pushing him towards some room.
When they got to the room, Jimin’s jaw dropped.
He looked around and he saw Namjoon, the guy with a neat hair cut and golden skin he saw with Hoseok when he first arrived, Taehyung, the guy with fluffy black hair and beautiful green eyes and his boyfriend, or well, Jimin thinks so, who had long brown hair, doe eyes and bunny teeth, Jin was there too, the guy with fluffy hair who was lecturing the two boys on the convenience store and then, well Jimin has never seen this guy, he has long black hair, slightly curly, just above his shoulders, a cute nose and pale skin. He’s so hot.
“Wow! The guy from the convenience store!” Jin says and Jimin comes back to the real world.
“Right! The new guy who chose the croissants!” Taehyung adds.
“You guys know each other?”
“No!” Jimin says.
“Yes!” Jungkook, Taehyung and Jin say at the same time. “We met at the konbini!” Jungkook says.
“Well, then i guess you don’t need introductions!” Hoseok concludes.
But he needs introductions! He wants to know who that guy is.
Guess it won’t be now, since he was immediately pushed to the floor so that he could sit next to the other boys.
“So, why you moved here?” Taehyung starts asking.
Oh so it’s questioning time.
“My father’s boss moved his location, so we had to come here.” Jimin answers, simply.
“Ah, i see!” Taehyung nods. “Then, were you a city boy? I bet you were!”
“Yeah, i came from the city…” Jimin admits shyly. He’s kind of scared, these people don’t tend to like city boys that much.
“Cool!” Jungkook exclaims.
Well, that was unexpected.
“People there are more advanced in the city!” Jungkook states. “Look, when i did this,” He rolled up his sleeve, revealing his tattoos, that occupied his whole arm. “Miss Jung fainted when she saw them for the first time.” He giggled.
“Wow.” Jimin reacted.
“Well, to defend my mom, you know she’s not used to those things! Plus, you did it as soon as you turned 18!” Hoseok argues.
“Well well well, Jungkook my love don’t think about that anymore, she fainted because you looked immensely hot!!” Taehyung says, grabbing his boyfriend's arm.
“Those are really cool… actually, i have one too, but no one other than my parents… and well people that have seen me naked,” Jimin blushes. “knows about it.”
“Really? Show us!!” Jungkook asks excitedly.
“Well, hm,” Jimin really didn’t thought he’d be showing 6 dudes his rib cage today. “This.”
“Wow! Never- Nevermind?” Hoseok reads. And Yoongi, the quiet guy, turns his head to Jimin. “Is that from a song?”
“Oh, yes actually! It’s from that rapper Agus-“
“Yoongi loves that song too!” Hoseok says.
So his name is Yoongi?
“Yeah, it’s really great.” He says simply.
“Well, anyways… what were you talking about?” Taehyung asks.
“The city! It’s more advanced!” Jungkook answers him.
“Ah right, yeah, the city is really advanced.” Taehyung says. “When me and Kookie started dating… when we were, how old were we again?”
“Fourteen!” They all answer, giving the impression that Taehyung forgets that a lot.
“Yes that! When we started dating, when we were 14, some people from the neighborhood reacted badly… it was a bit difficult.” Taehyung says.
“Definitely.” Jin agrees, putting his head on Namjoon’s shoulder, as if he understood.
God, how many couple are here.
“You started dating when you were fourteen? That’s really cute!” Jimin smiles. “Well, it’s difficult too at the city…” Jimin confesses. He never really talks about his sexuality with other people, but these guys seem so accepting. “It’s normalized, there’s lots of gay people but no one really talks about it… they know who’s gay and who isn’t but no one acknowledges that. Like, in high school, i never dated seriously, because the other guys wanted to do it secretly, some of them didn’t want people to know that they’re… you know.”
“Oh that sucks.” Taehyung says.
Jimin exhales. They didn’t even flinch when Jimin basically came out?
“See, when i tell y’all living here is better than living at the city.” Namjoon says, kissing the top of Jin’s head.
“The city is definitely more stressful, so i think you guys are lucky to be here!” Jimin says.
[…]
A couple hours went by, the food was mostly gone and the two couples were making out, leaving Hoseok, Yoongi and Jimin basically alone, though they were all in the same room.
They kept getting to know each other. Everyone was asking Jimin a bunch of questions, but everything felt so genuine, he didn’t even bother.
At some point Hoseok said he was going to grab snacks, leaving Yoongi and Jimin alone.
Well this was awkward.
Jimin put on a smile and decided to talk. “So, you’re Yoongi, right?”
“Mhm.” He simply nodded.
Well, a little help would be good. “That’s nice.” Jimin smiled.
They stayed in silence for a bit, until unexpectedly, Yoongi talked.
“Did that guy ever bothered you again?” He asked.
“Tha-That guy?” He asked in confusion.
What guy?
“The one at the convenience store.”
“The convenie- Ah right! No, no he didn’t! But how do you-“ Jimin stops and looks at Yoongi another time. It’s him. “Wait, you’re the guy that helped me that day!?”
“Yeah, it was me.” Yoongi says, as if it’s nothing.
“Ugh, you went without even waiting for me to say thank you!” Jimin whines.
“Sorry?”
“Seriously, you could’ve waited.” Jimin says.
And now that they’re starting to actually speak, Hoseok enters the room.
“Y’all, auntie said we could go downstairs to eat blueberry pie she just made!” He announces.
“Really?” Taehyung asks and Hoseok nods. “Cool, i love auntie!” He smiles. Boxy smile, cute.
They go downstairs. Jimin gets quiet. It’s obvious that everyone here already has a good relationship with Jungkook’s mother, so it feels a bit weird.
But when she notices Jimin, she speaks. “Oh! Who’s this pretty boy i’ve never seen before?”
“It’s Jiminie!” Taehyung answers her. “He just moved!”
“Ah really? Then it’s nice to meet you! I hope you like it here.”
“Ah thank you.” He smiles and bows.
He didn’t expect Jungkook’s mom to pat him, but well.
“Jungkook your sister is coming, so don’t eat everything!”
“Sister?” Jimin asks in confusion.
“Ah yes, Jungkook has a twin sister! She’s really pretty! Her name is Jihyo.” Hoseok says.
“Ah i see… do you like her?” He asks. Maybe he’s misunderstanding it, but it could be an option.
“Me? No no, but she’s really pretty, i gues we all agree on that.” He says, looking at the others so that they can confirm what he’s saying.
“She’s indeed very pretty. We’re friends with her friends too. They dance together with Hobi.” Namjoon explains.
“Ah i see.” Jimin nods.
“It’s a shame that we are all a bunch of gay kids.” Jin jokes.
“Wait,” Jimin interrupts. “You’re all gay?” He asks, looking around to see Jungkook’s mom acting like nothings wrong.
“Well… pretty much, yes?” Jin answers. “Namjoon and Kookie are bisexual, Hobi is asexual and the remaining ones are gay.” He says.
“Oh- I was definitely not expecting this when i moved.” Jimin chuckles. “In the city people always try to hide it, it’s like taboo talk.” He scratches the back of his neck.
“It’s not like we can be loud about it here, but at least we don’t have to hide.” Jungkook reasons.
Taehyung has a serious expression in his face. The others seem to not bother about it, but it makes Jimin thrown.
“It really sucks to be oppressed.” Taehyung says, not loudly. “Having to wear a mask and shit.”
“TaeTae, language.” She smiles as she ruffles his hair.
Jungkook gives Taehyung a big smooch on his cheek. “My baby, you don’t have to wear a mask anymore.”
“Yeah, i know i know.” He smiles faintly.
[…]
It’s a couple hours later, the boys just finished watching a movie, though they weren’t paying that much attention.
“It’s getting late.” Hoseok says.
“Yeah, we should probably head home.” Jin says to Namjoon.
“Mhm.” Jimin agrees. “Oh right! I just remembered, does anyone know someone that can help me putting a desk together?”
“Yoongi hyung can help.” Jungkook says. “He’s pretty good at those things.”
“Yeah, i can help with that.” He shrugs.
Jimin doesn’t know if he should be excited or nervous.
Either way, he’s happy. It’s not everyday that you have a handsome guy helping you build things.
Fifteen minutes later everyone was out of Jungkook’s house, except Taehyung who said he’d stay just to take a shower because he likes Jungkook’s shampoos better.
They all drove their bikes along the way, but then Jin, Namjoon and Hoseok went a different way, leaving Jimin and Yoongi alone.
Well, the thing is, Jimin didn’t know where Yoongi lives and it was an awkward situation. Yoongi was right on Jimin’s side and they weren’t talking.
So Jimin just stopped. “Are you following me?”
“You know, if i was following you, i’d be behind you not on your side.” Yoongi deadpans. “Plus, i live this way too.” He says.
“Ah sorry.” Jimin apologized, thinking that maybe he was a bit rude. “Can i ask you a question?”
“Go ahead.” They start moving again.
“Taehyung… he seemed a bit out of it when we were speaking about being oppressed and… i don’t know, it made me sad, but i don’t know him so… did anything happen with him or?”
“If you want to know, just ask him. I’m no one to be telling his story.” Yoongi says.
“You’re right.” Jimin agrees, though he wasn’t expecting that answer.
But Yoongi was indeed right.
“It’s just not fair for me to be taking away his decision to talk to you or not. But i think he liked you so, just message him. I’m sure he won’t mind.”
“Hm, i see.” Jimin nods, taking a mental note to text Taehyung later. “Thank you.”
“No problem, sorry if i was rude.”
They drove quietly until they reached Jimin’s home.
“I’m home!” Jimin announces.
“Wait, that’s where you live?” Yoongi asks, pointing to the house behind them.
“Hm, yes?”
“I live there.” Yoongi points at the house from the other side of the street. Right in front of Jimin’s house.
“Oh, well that was unexpected.” Jimin laughs and Yoongi ends up laughing too. This was the first time Jimin saw Yoongi’s gummy smile. It’s cute.
“Ah, Jimin-ah! You’re home!” Jimin’s mom says, walking up to the two boys.
“Yeah, sorry i’m late mom.” He says, smiling to her.
“Is this a new friend?” She asks, looking at Yoongi.
“Uh, yes?” He looks at Yoongi too. Trying to search for the answer. Are they friends?
“I’m Min Yoongi.” He says. Smiling and bowing, all polite. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, i live right in front of you.”
“Ah really? That’s great! Hope you and my son get along well!” She says, smilling. Her eye smile looking exactly like Jimin’s. “I’ll go inside, the dinner’s almost ready, so hurry Jiminie!”
She went inside, Yoongi and Jimin were alone again.
“It was a nice day today.” Jimin says.
“Yeah, it was. Everyday’s nice in here.”
“It looks like it.” Jimin giggles.
“Your mom is very nice.”
“Yeah, she really is! Wait until you meet my father! He’s the nicest person i know!” Tells him, cheerfully. He really loves his father.
“I imagine.” Yoongi smiles.
“Should we exchange numbers?”
“Well, yeah? Then we could set a date for the furniture.”
“Yeah, let’s do that then!” Jimin agrees excitedly.
They said their awkward goodbyes and went home.
Jimin ate the dinner his mother prepared and than he took a bath. He was extremely tired, but for a good reason! It was a nice day today.
However, Taehyung wouldn’t leave his mind.
(Jimin)
Hi Taehyung. :)
I’m just texting you because you know, i’m new here, so i don’t really know you guys… Buy you seem like a cheerful person and today i got a bit worried with you :/
10:34 pm
You seem so cheerful that when i saw your face when we were talking about that, it made me sad :( You were so out of it, i just hope everything’s okay :(
10:35 pm
Taehyungie
Hi Jiminie ^^
That’s really sweet of you ! Thank you for worrying and i hope you and i can get closer, you seem like a good person :)
10:37 pm
About it, it’s just a little
I don’t know
It just hurts, i should get over it quickly
10:38 pm
(Jimin)
But do you want to talk? You can just vent, i’ll listen
10:39 pm
Taehyung didn’t answer for more or less 5 minutes, but then he called Jimin.
“Hi.” He said through the phone.
“Hi Taehyung.” Jimin smiled.
“You can call me Tae.” He chuckles.
“Then, hi Tae.” Jimin chuckled too. “So, why you called?”
“You said i could vent…”
“Oh right! Yes, yes you can. I’m listening to you.” He assured.
“You know me and Kookie started dating when we were really young, we were only 14.” He starts. “But i always knew i was … gay, so at that point i spent half of my life just trying to hide it, trying not to be gay.” He sighs. “And it was horrible to put it simply. Wearing a mask and feeling so guilty all the time… no one knew, not even Jungkook.”
“How did he found out?”
“I kissed him.” He chuckled. “We were at our secret spot and i just kissed him. I still remember Kookie looking at me with his big doe eyes, he looked so innocent, at that time i felt like i just ruined him.”
“Don’t think like that, he loves you and i’m sure he doesn’t think like that.”
“Yeah, he probably doesn’t… but still…” Taehyung sighs. “Jungkook is someone really determined, he liked me back but he didn’t understand that two boys together wasn’t ‘normal’, he wanted to hug me, kiss me, hold my hand and people would just give us weird stares… i eventually tried to push him away, but i loved him too much to do so.” Taehyung says. “Yoongi hyung helped me a lot at that time, he told me that eventually this feeling of guilt would be smaller, it would always be with me, just like it is with other queer people, but it would decrease… he was right, it did get smaller, but it’s still there and sometimes it hits me more than other times, it just happens.”
“I’m glad that you had someone to help you at the time.” Jimin said.
“How was it for you? Did you feel guilty too?” Taehyung asks, maybe looking for comfort.
“Yeah, i guess i did… You know, i used to do ballet, so there was a lot of prejudice, people just took it for granted that i was gay and kinda treated me like i was less than them because of it… Because of my body and my face being so androgynous, sometimes i’d play the female role, i liked doing it, it was definitely prettier than what the males did, but sometimes i felt like i wanted to be manly like the other boys, it was hard for me, maybe more in terms of identity and how i expressed myself… I didn’t really had friends who cared about me, just people who were close to me to get something in exchange… the closest thing i had to a friend was my father, he comforted me a lot, told me he loved me unconditionally.”
“Sometimes i hate being the way i am, don’t you? Like you said, you wanted to be manly to avoid the prejudice, it was kinda like that to me, i didn’t want to be gay, i wanted to match the norm, i really wanted too, but i couldn’t. I loved Kookie, i always did, i could never be the norm.” He sighs.
“I’m happy that you’re not the norm, i’m happy i get to witness your and Jungkook’s beautiful relationship, Tae.”
“Thank you for saying that, really.” Taehyung says through the phone. “It’s comforting to know there’s people who appreciate our relationship.”
“There’ll always be. And if there’s people who don’t, then fuck those.” Jimin laughed.
“You’re right… thank you for this.” Taehyung smiled, even though Jimin couldn’t see him. “So, how was your first week here?”
“Pretty nice, totally different from the city… and honestly? I’m glad.” Jimin confesses, laying on his bed.
“Really? Is the city that bad?”
“Everyone’s heartless, there’s so many people that they lose the sense of humanity, everyone’s self centric.”
“Ah, i see. So basically here it’s the opposite.”
“Exactly.” Jimin nods. “I wasn’t expecting to like it here that much, but everything’s so calm, it’s kinda impossible to not like it, right?” He chuckles.
“True, i should take you to some places here, introduce you to the neighborhood!”
“Yeah, that’d be really cool.”
“Do you like the other guys?” Taehyung asked.
“Yeah, everyone is so nice. It was kinda weird at first… Hoseok and Namjoon stopped in front of my house and started chatting with me, i’m really not used to it… the only one who’s more… shy is-“
“Yoongi hyung, yeah. He’s like that, so it’s definitely not because he hates you or something.”
“Good to know, he’s also extremely… extremely hot.” Jimin says.
And Taehyung laughs almost hysterically. “I knew it! You two were so shy around each other, he probably thinks the same!”
“Oh don’t do that to me… keeping my expectations far too high.”
“Why? You’re his type, like literally if he had to describe his ideal boyfriend, it would just like you.”
“Oh shut up!” Jimin rolls his eyes.
“I’m telling the truth!” Taehyung tries to convince him. “Either way, you’ll definitely meet again right? Won’t he help you with the furniture?”
“Mhm, he is… actually, something embarrassing happened after y’all left!” Jimin fake cries.
“Oh my god, what?”
“We were going home, but he kept going the same way, at some point i literally asked him “Are you following me?” Like the dumbass i am-“
“You did that?” Taehyung bursts out laughing. “Damn.”
“Yeah, and then we discovered he literally lives in front of me.”
“Oh shit, that’s some neighbors romance shit happening.”
“Stop, we only met today.”
“Well, and you’ll meet more times…”
“Yeah whatever, i never even dated properly.”
“But you had your experiences in the city, didn’t you?”
“Oh yeah, wonderful experiences! Meaningless sex at night and class president during the day, so exciting.”
“Well, actually…” Taehyung laughs, knowing that he was annoying Jimin. “But seriously now, how was it? Your life in the city?”
“I was a normal student, well, a good one. I’m gay and had sex, that’s kind of it? Everything was in secret of course, the guys would never dare to come out… god, most of them were only “experimenting”.”
“Well that sucks, but it’s really different from here though. Me and Kookie were each other’s firsts, in like - everything - same with Joon and Jin… so nothing was meaningless you know? Doesn’t it make sad that you kinda gave up your virginity?”
“Maybe it makes me a bit sad now, but back then i was just horny, didn’t even think about it.”
“Damn, you experienced freak!” Taehyung laughs.
And just like that Taehyung and Jimin talked for hours. It’s like they linked instantly.
But they had to end the call because it was getting late.
And just as Jimin ended the call, he got a message.
Yoongi hyung
It’s late, but the light of your room is still on, so i suppose you’re awake.
01:46 am
Should Jimin just call him? What does he want?
Should he?
Well he did.
“Hi?” Jimin said.
“Hello.” Yoongi said simply. “I can see you on your window.”
“Yeah, me too.” Jimin smiles. “I was talking with Tae on the phone.”
“Ah, i see. Did you ask him about that?”
“Yeah, he told me and we talked for a few hours.” Jimin tells him.
It’s not as awkward when they’re together. Seeing Yoongi on the other side of the street, looking at him and smiling as he listens to Jimin. It feels good.
“That’s good then!”
“Why did you text?” Jimin asks, now sitting on the window.
“Wanted to know if you wanted to build that thing tomorrow…” Yoongi says, looking directly at Jimin’s eyes.
“Ahh, well that’s not a bad idea.” He reasons. “Let’s do it, come to my house at 10 am.”
“God, don’t you sleep?” Yoongi jokes.
“Come ooon.” Jimin whines. “It’s almost as if you coming tomorrow is a sacrifice.” He pouts.
“If it was a sacrifice i wouldn’t text you to ask you if you could do it today.” Yoongi deadpans. Laughing at Jimin’s pout. “You look cute right now.”
Oh, did he just-
“Do you want to go to the konbini, right now?” Jimin asks. On a whim.
