Right now I had achieved my movie dream life.
I lived in a small apartment in the center of the city, about 10 minutes away from the university with my best friend Yoko Tanaka . I had a dream boyfriend that I had been dating since school. We had been together for 4 years and we were already thinking about getting married as soon as we finished our studies . Ajax was definitely my ideal guy and I wouldn't change him for anything in the world.
Regarding me. I was studying design, and that's why I had started with an Instagram account to show the models I was developing. I recently reached 2 million followers and occasionally there were collaborations with different brands that allowed me to afford a good part of my life . It was fun to be able to share my interests and know that so many people who liked it. I was definitely living my best life.
-Enid, I need one of your soul-restorative hugs or I swear I'm going to lose my mind- Yoko was entering the shared apartment while carrying some musical instruments in their respective cases.
-What's up Yoko?, of course I'll give you a hug- Enid got up from the couch and went to hug her best friend.
-There's a new girl in the orchestra, she's an exchange girl. Bianca wanted to kill her. The university almost forced us to take her in, but she's really good and we don't have many cellos so... We probably took her in anyway- Yoko sank into her friend's arms and let out a grunt of noticeable frustration . -Besides, she has a really weird name, her name is Wednesday, at first I thought it was a joke, but her face isn't like someone who makes a lot of jokes.-
- Maybe she was just nervous, you know, if she's an exchange student everything here is new to her, isn't it- replied Enid trying to cheer up her friend . -What exactly happened, though?-
-That girl is really frustrating. I've known her for 2 hours and I don't think I've ever heard someone curse so many times, and I don't mean using bad words, but literally curse at people . When she arrived with Xavier next to her we were all shocked, apparently they were "friends" from childhood, although she repeatedly denied it . Bianca wanted a good explanation and was really trying to keep calm seeing her ex-boyfriend so close with a girl she " just met", that was funny, you should have been there- Yoko blurted everything out, apparently the new girl was kind of difficult .
- I don't think she's that bad, I insist she must just be nervous, you'll see how she turns out to be someone super nice when you get to know her well- Enid was quite positive about people and obviously this one wouldn't be the exception .
-Ha, I want to see that. Tomorrow night we have a rehearsal outside, if you want you can come if you want to see for yourself that disgrace- Yoko answered laughing at how her friend always looked for the best in everyone else- . The blonde looked confident about making new friends, although this would be a challenge in part .
The sound of Enid's cell phone interrupted the conversation. -It's Ajax, he asked me if we could meet at his house. You don't mind if I leave now, do you?-
-It's okay, you heard me enough, go with your boyfriend and leave this poor woman alone- Yoko pretended to be sad about how her friend abandoned her .
-Don't be an exaggerator, I don't know if she'll come back today. I love you Yoko- The blonde picked up a coat and her bag that was always ready and left the apartment to meet her boyfriend .
It was one of their many meetings at the boy's apartment. Considering the dates Enid decided it was a good idea to stop by and buy a coffee, it was almost final test and probably Ajax had barely been able to sleep these days . Enid walked to a small local coffee shop nearby and was being served by that guy she found so irritating. In general Enid was really sweet and nice, but there was something about that guy, she never liked, but she still decided to be nice, he was just there working .
-Hi, can I have an Americano please?- The girl gave a smile that looked a little fake, but not enough for anyone there to be interested.
-I'm sorry, but the machine isn't working. I'll probably have to call a technician, of course unless you know Italian or how to fix a coffee machine- the boy replied, trying to put on a smile .
-I know Italian and I assure you I need a coffee or I will murder someone- A mournful voice came from behind Enid's back, she had not noticed the other girl's presence so she was a little startled by the voice.
The girl crossed the bar without hesitation, took out a screwdriver from her jacket and started to fix the machine . There were several things there that caught my attention, where did this girl come from? , why did she know how to fix a coffee machine? , why had I never seen her before?, was it normal that as soon as I saw her I felt the need to approach her? She really made me curious, everything about her was striking, although visually she was the opposite of me .
-There, I had a problem with the valve pressure, it was easy. Now give me a damn espresso-.
-Sure, you don't mind if I make his first, do you?- Tyler interrupted my thoughts and I was forced to look away from the other girl .
-No, no problem, after all she fixed the machine- I answered a little nervous, I had never been so stunned looking at someone, I felt a little embarrassed .
-Thank you very much for fixing the machine, you saved my life, this one is on the house-. said the boy handing the coffee to the girl dressed all in black. -May I know your name?-
-You don't need to know it, and I hope next time you know how to fix your own machine-. After that the girl left, that was a strange encounter, and probably the only one we would have, that thought made me a little sad.
-You'r coffe-. Again he interrupted my thoughts, I paid and left in a hurry, I looked everywhere, but that girl was nowhere. I dismissed the idea of being her friend and decided to go back to Ajax's apartment, my boyfriend was waiting for me.
