9:00 PM
People Park
A young boy of age 16 is sitting in one of the park bench. He seems to have what appears to be cut on his chin. He stares blankly into the lake in front of him. Thoughts of drowning in this very river cloud his mind. He's recently lost his mother in a horrible crime, and hasn't talked to anyone about it. His suicidal thoughts disappear when a dark blonde haired girl about the same age as his sits next to him. He tries to fake a smile, but she can clearly tell he's been crying. She hasn't seen him this broken before, and decides to make him open up about his problem right now, because she's his friend.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
--Present Day--
9:00 PM
Gumshoe Residence
Police Chief Dick Gumshoe opens the front door to his apartment.
"Honey, I'm home!"
Silence, complete silence.
"He he, just kidding. I live alone."
He took of his trenchcoat and began making his favorite dish for dinner, Eggs and Noodles. It was funny. Even after his promotions and raises, he still continued to eat noodles just like the old days. Guess old habits die hard.
He turned on the TV to show the news and began reviewing the files of the recent homicide case. It was practically similar to most other cases. However, the face of the victim, a woman, was injured beyond recognition. The killer was a corrupt businessman that Gumshoe was already after for other reasons.
Her fingerprints remained intact, and he hoped it wouldn't take too long to identify her like it did with Detective Fullbright. Something about the victim caused him to be incredibly nervous and scared during the investigation and trial. Something about her felt strangely..... familiar. Thinking that he was worrying too much, he increased the volume of the TV and began to watch the live football match.
All while completely not noticing that an eight year old girl was knocking at his door, holding a piece of paper with his address in her hand.
