Work Text:
Abed and Troy have shelves of framed photos of themselves, each lined up in the order they prefer best - one being their baby photos, the second when they were toddlers followed up to grade school, and the third when they'd attended Riverside High School. Troy wore on his letterman jacket and his right arm was linked with Abed's left arm while his left hand held a football. The look in Abed's eyes appeared to be distant while Troy's face broke into a smile. Their fourth photo together was of them dressed up as Batman and Spiderman respectively, while the fifth was of them being astronauts both claiming their dominance over the moon.
Those five framed photos belonged on the lower ledge, while the upper ledge likewise has a picture of both of them cosplaying together as Inspector Spacetime and Constable Reggie, that was positioned well in the center, surrounded by small figurines of their own personas. Finally, on the middle ledge, were their wedding photos. Troy and Abed both wore matching black tuxes with a red flower pinned on. Two of them were of the husbands embracing each other from behind, and the middle photo was of them holding hands as their fingers locked together.
Troy's been standing there in the living room looking at their framed memories for goodness knows how long until his legs must have gotten weak, and feet glued to the floor, until his husband emerged from right around the corner, snaking his arms around his waist and rested his chin on his shoulder. Troy settles in the hug, his warm hands over Abed's that are gently placed on his belly. Standing there, the two husbands let the comfortable silence fill the walls of their little home, but only the content sounds of breathing are heard and felt.
What seemed like a long stretch of blissful quietness pervading their house, Troy turned to Abed with bedroom eyes, the shorter guy suggesting to the taller man to come upstairs with him to their bed, wrapping his arms around his neck as a silent request, a hint of mischief in his eyes and smile. Returning the smile, Abed lifted him bridal-style and carried him upstairs.
