Work Text:

Sirius was determined, and he told himself so. The whole way down the hall, through the portrait hole, across the common room, and up the dormitory stairs. I am determined, I am determined I am determined.

He burst open the door and was met with Remus on his bed, looking up at him. Immediately, his resolve faltered. No, it didn't just falter. It flew out the window and nearly took him with it.
Remus looked so goddamn cute, sitting there in his too-big knitted jumper with his stupid freckles and his stupid tan skin and his stupid nice hair. It was stupid, Sirius decided. So he turned around as aggressively as one could manage turning around, and clambered into bed, closing his curtains on his way. He then proceeded to glare at the ceiling.

A few heartbeats of silence later, he heard tentative footsteps and a quiet "Sirius?"
He considered ignoring Remus for having the sheer audacity to look so bloody hot all the time before deciding against it, and allowing Remus in. To his surprise, Remus held in his arms his entire store of chocolate, or at least half of it.

They sat in comfortable, friendly silence, munching on chocolate and each lost in their respective thoughts. Sirius' consisted mainly of how absolutely perfect the boy in front of him was and how he should get his act together and ask him out. He had finally recuperated his courage from earlier and was just opening his mouth when Remus spoke.

"So, I don't want to pry, but are you alright?"

This, for some bizarre reason, made Sirius want to cry and he attempted to swallow the sudden lump in his throat. Remus was still waiting for an answer so Sirius just nodded stiffly, not trusting his voice at that moment. In response to Remus' disbelieving expression, Sirius flopped back on the bed. "I just- do you ever want to say something but the words just wont work?" Remus nodded for him to continue, so he did. "I was thinking earlier, about someone in particular, and about how maybe-"

He was cut off by Remus. "Pads, is this about a crush?"

He nodded hesitantly. Remus just stayed quiet a moment longer and that was all it took for Sirius to overflow. "I like a bloke, Moony, and not just any bloke. He's a friend. A close friend."

When Remus didn't reply immediately he took it as a bad sign and was getting up when Remus asked "Who?"

"You," came the reply.

He didn't get a chance to say any more before Remus was on top of him, their lips moving in sync, and all he could think was 'Holy shit, I'm kissing Moons'
