As giant footsteps make the house shake, a voice calls out from a rather dark tone to a more child-like one , “Who dare disrupt the King Of Demons?”, showing an adorable walking furry creature with a skull on its head.
Luz then cries out of seeing the cuteness of this creature while Hunter just stands there intrigued by the creature.
¡Angelito!, Luz cries out, “What is that thing”,Hunter says
King questions,”Eda, who are these people!!?”
“Oh these are Luz and Hunter,Eda says while grabbing Luz, “they’re humans”
King, a bit annoyed, says, “Well can you tell them to not do that again? This fur is delicate for a king and shouldn’t be messed with”
“Trust me buddy, you haven’t even seen anything yet when it comes to my sister”, Hunter says, “So, what is he exactly?”, he asks Eda about King’s background
One fragmented King backstory later
“Whoa”, said both Luz and Hunter
“Where is your crown now?, asks Hunter
“It’s being guarded in the conformatorium, where they keep a bunch of prisoners and other trophies there”, Eda says in the background
“Well I want to help this little guy get it back!”, Luz said confidently, much to everyone’s surprise
“Are you crazy? we can’t just break into a prison”,said Hunter in disbelief
“Alright then let’s go!”, Eda said in an encouraging tone
“Wait , what now?, Hunter questioned, “Yeah, let’s go get my crown back!!, King shouted in excitement
“No way, leave me out of this”, Hunter said stubbornly, “Please Hunter, pretty please?”, Luz begged to Hunter to join her
“Yeah, come on kid”, Eda said to get Hunter to come along, “Besides, in a way, your kind of helping me out, so if you help us get King’s crown, I’ll let go back home”, Eda offered
Hunter, looking a bit hesitant, finally says, “Ughh, fine I’ll join you guys, Hunter said while everyone cheered
“But the moment our job is done, we’re going back to Earth, got it?”, Hunter said in a serious tone
“Yes, jeez you’re a lot more stubborn than you look”, said a bit annoyed
One travel to the conformatorium later
“Alright we’re here” said Eda
After devising a plan to get in, Eda separates with the rest of the group to take care of some guards while the rest of the group goes to the shield where the crown is located
When they get there, Luz and Hunter encounter a few prisoners who were arrested because of weird stuff they did: Katya-writes fan fiction about food, Monster who likes eating his own eyeballs, and a small crazy conspiracy theorist that definitely isn’t foreshadowing any potential events
“Oh my gosh”, Luz said in disbelief while Hunter was silently shocked by what he heard and saw
“You guys didn’t get arrested for something wrong..”. Luz said while taking out her book, “… you’re just weirdos like us,Hunter finished Luz’s sentence
Just then, Eda enters saying she bought them time to get King’s crown
They stand in front of the shield guarding the crown
“You aren’t coming?”, asks Hunter, “Sorry kid, only humans can go through that shield, remember?”
As Luz and Hunter go through the shield, they see a large pile of stuff and try searching for the crown.
“I think I found it”, said Luz, “..but it’s not what I expected it to be”
“What do mean?”, asks Hunter. He then takes a look at the crown, saying, “You have got to be kidding me”
“Yay!!! I got my crown back”, King says excitedly
“Alright, we’ll let’s go before the warden gets here”,says Eda
Just then, a shadowy figure stands behind eda and chops her head off
Hunter and Luz scream in terror but are more freaked out when Eda is still alive even with her head cut off
“Ugh, I hate when this happens”, said Eda
“How is this possible”, questioned Hunter still freaked out
The warden then took King’s crown and destroyed it, leaving King saddened. Hunter and Luz tried to defend him, but we’re blocked off by the wardens guards.
“Now, one last thing to do about you Owl Lady”, said the warden, “I want you… To go out with me”
“What?”, said everyone in unison
“This is why you were out to get me?”, Eda angrily said , “after you chopped my head off and are now threatening these kids?”
“Yes, now agree to this before I petrify these kids!”,said the warden
“Okay okay okay!”, Eda said in a bit of a panic,”but can you come closer”
As the warden came a bit closer, Eda bit him, giving her a chance to get to her body and reattach herself. Meanwhile, Hunter and Luz, feeling bad for the other prisoners, decided to free them while creating a new motto; “Us Weirdos Have To Stick Together”. The prisoners cheered after their cells were broken
After fighting off the guards, everyone else escaped while the gang returned to the Owl House.
When they got there, Luz decided to surprise King with a small crown that suffices his needs, while Hunter feels a bit of a rush after taking out some guards during the fight at the conformatorium
Eda then asks them if they still want to go back. However,Luz and Hunter make the decision to stay in the Demon Realm for a little while and also agree to never go to that camp.
After settling in their , for now, new place, Hunter and Luz promise to look out for each other in this new world while looking out into the sky for what’s to come and reassuring their mom that they’ll be alright
Okay, a bit of a major time skip,but here’s the rundown: it’s been awhile since Luz and Hunter decided to stay in the isles. During this time, they made some new friends:Gus and Willow after accidentally stumbling upon Hexiside. Then it was Amity, who at first disliked Luz and Hunter after humiliating her in her abomination class and at the Covention, where Luz and Hunter know that Eda has a sister named Lilith, head of the ruling coven in the isles (still don’t know who the ruler should be,maybe Terra Snapdragon or maybe just put Lilith as the ruler of the isles). Amity started being a little bit friendly with Hunter and especially Luz as time went by after an incident at the library, where Luz and Hunter met Amity’s siblings (Eddie and Emira). It was also there that Hunter and Luz got along with both of them , tho Hunter was especially fond of Emira, who as it happens also had a soft spot for Hunter. After going through a lot of events together, from training day to near end of Through the Looking Glass Ruins(with both Luz and Hunter with Amity and Emira along with their friends), Hunter and Luz began to finally express their feelings to both Blight girls. To impress Amity, Luz decided to get Amity’s library position back along with her card after accidentally getting Amity fired from the library when trying to obtain a special journal. To impress Emira , Hunter decided to get a Book of Illusions for her since she has been grounded for a while. Both Hunter and Luz decided to go to Blight Manor together to give these items to the girls and to finally confront their feelings towards them.
“Okay, you ready?”, Asked Hunter holding the illusions book he’s gonna give Emira
“Not really, you?”, asked Luz nervously holding Amity’s card
A little bit, just try and remain cool about it, said Hunter as he rang the doorbell
As Amity opens the door, Luz immediately apologizes to her once she sees Amity’s new hairstyle.
“Oh.. it’s different”, said Luz in awe
“Oh, yeah.. Mom always preferred it green”,said Amity,”I guess I wanted a change”.
“Hey Amity”, said Hunter, “Hey Hunter”, said Amity to Hunter
“Is Emira here or..?”, asked Hunter, “Right here, Hunter”, said Emira from behind Amity
Emira had a new look as well (what she wear in owl coven au)in contrast to her usual formal look(whether it be her clothing from canon or what she wears in Danaowl42’s owl coven au before the events of Through The Looking Glass Ruins)
“Whoa”, said Hunter in awe, “you look amazing”.
“Thank you”, said Emira while blushing a bit
“Can we talk privately? I got something for you”, said Hunter. Emira nodded and they both went upstairs as not to disturb Luz and Amity
We already know what happens with Luz and Amity so we’ll check Hunter’s POV. Hunter and Emira went to her bedroom, and thankfully for Emira, Ed left to go on his date so that no one would bother her and Hunter when they’re alone.
“So, umm, what did you want to give me?”, asked Emira a little nervously.
“Well, given how you can’t attend Hexside at the moment, I decided to go to the library and get you this book that contains a lot illusion spells so that you can practice your magic more”, said Hunter as he gave the book to Emira
“Hunter… thank you”, said Emira in amazement,”is there another reason you got it?”.
“Well… it’s just… I care about you and don’t want you be behind in your magic”, said Hunter nervously.
“Come on Hunter… I know there must be something else”, said Emira
“Okay”, said Hunter as he took a deep breath, “Ever since I met you, I started having this weird feeling around, and I didn’t even know what it was until it finally hit me”
“What is it?”, asked Emira
“I started to feel happier, not just because I got to hang out with people my own age who like being around me, but also because of the time I spent with you”, said Hunter as he started to blush.
Emira also blushed, but in a slightly dark shade of red cause of what she just heard.
“I… didn’t know I helped you feel that way”, said Emira, stunned.
“You’re right”, said Hunter while Emira seemed a bit confused, “I did come for something else”
“So ,here it goes”, said Hunter as he was about to ask Em the big question
Just as Hunter was about to say it, grabbed his left cheek and kissed him.
Emira soon pulled away.Realizing what she’d done, she blushed a bit harder and tried turning away as to not let Hunter see how embarrassed she felt.
However, as she tried turning away, Hunter grabbed her hand, turned her to face him, and kissed her back.
Emira, stunned by Hunter’s reaction to this, quickly kissed him again in return. They kept kissing until they couldn’t breath but were still in each other's arms.
Hunter and Emira then looked into each others eyes.
“I suppose you were going to ask me out?”, joked Emira breathlessly
“So, are we official?, awkwardly joked Hunter
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure”, laughed Emira as she said that
“Okay.. just making sure”, nervously laughed Hunter
“Quick question, what did you think of me the first time we met?”, asked Hunter
“Well, I thought you were a bit cute, but a bit sickly given your appearance”, said Emira
Emira quickly shut herself up upon realizing what she just said
“No wait I didn’t mean it like that!”, said Emira in desperation
Hunter, on the other hand said, “Woah, it’s okay it’s okay.I get it, I look terrible when I look in a mirror, but you haven’t seen what I look like in the morning after staying up a little late.”
“You don’t look completely terrible to me now,” said Emira for reassurance, “that was the old me who just met you; the current me who’s known you for a while now actually sees you as handsome,brave, and willing to help those he cares about.”
“Really?”, asked Hunter
“Absolutely”, said Emira,” and I don’t regret falling for you one bit” she finished her sentence as she and Hunter kissed on the lips again.
Emira then looked at the clock and realized that her parents were going to come back from the factory in a short matter of time.
“Well, I hate to this, but I think you need to go before my parents see us”, said Emira
“I wish I could stay longer”, said Hunter
“Me too”, said Emira,”but that doesn’t mean we can’t see each other more, does it?”
“It does not”, said Hunter as he let go of Emira
“I guess I’ll see you later”, said Hunter as he was about to make his way downstairs
But before he left, Emira kissed him one more time and whispered, “See you later too cutie”
Hunter blushed with a smile on his face. He and Emira shared a look towards each other before Hunter went downstairs to go outside.
Just as he was about to open the door, Amity opened it saying “what’d I do that?” over and over as if she had done something regrettable.
When Hunter looked outside, he saw Luz on her knees. When he took a closer look, he saw Luz’s face frozen in sort of a shocked expression.
“Care to talk about it”, asked Hunter
“How about till we get home?” asked Luz
“Okay” said Hunter
“What about you?”, asked Luz
“I’ll tell you later”, said Hunter
“Okay then” said Luz. She and Hunter just sat there for a while until they finally decided to walk back home.
