Jett woke up to her alarm clock. It was strange...she wasn't in her protocol work clothes.
She turned to her alarm clock who showed 6:05AM and quickly got up.
'Was it all a dream? There's no way...'
She looked around and realised she wasn't in her room but whoever owns this room had good taste. At least for Jett.
She opened what seemed like a closet and found all her clothes there excpet for her Protocol ones...
'This is...weird..'
She put on her favourite black tectical pants, a white T-shirt and a black tectical jacket to match, but what was strange to her is that, if this wasn't her room, why were all her clothes there, and if it they weren't hers, then how do they fit her style and her size so perfectly?
'unless....HOLD ON!'
Jett ran out of the closet and the first thing she realised is that she didn't have her radiant powers.
''What the-?''
She stood in place confused when she heard a voice very familiar to her.
''SUNWOO YOU UP YET? COME DOWN HERE!''
She recognized Sages voice but before going down stairs she had to figure something out.
''COMING! JUST GIMME A MINUTE!''
She walked to her very familiar desk where she immideatly noticed 4 things.
First the Neko cat she kept in her box at the Protocol was on her desk instead, and 2 the box she had under her desk was gone, then the third thing was that the picture of her family she had in Korea was gone and was replaced with the picture of her, Sage and Reyna.
'That doesn't seem right..'
And for the final most important part was the picture she always had on her desk and NEVER moved was gone. The picture of her and Neon she wanted to frame after the mission was gone.
Jett might be a bit clueless from time to time but she's starting to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
She opened the desk drawer she KNEW had her diary, and as expected, was still there and the key conviniently next to it.
'That's stupid of me'
She thought, opening what seemed like her diary. She opened the first page and started reading.
Dear dairy,
as promised I will start writing in here when I get adopted form this annoying orphanege...I still wish I knew who my real parents were but I KNOW I will like my two new ones. Yes they're both girls but what's so wrong with having 2 moms?
Anyways next year I'm starting my first year of middle school! How great is that? I hope I can make some friends...My moms names are Zyanya and Ling Ying, I already love them! They seemed so nice, especially Ling or I guess I should say mom. I'm so excited!
Jett checked if it was written anywhere when she wrote that and she found something. In the top left corner it said: 20.11.2013 (Day, month, year)
She decided to quickly turn the page all the way to the latest one she wrote or at least close enough to it.
Dear diary,
it's been a while since I wrote here last, but the summer break is finally over meaning it's now time for my first day of highschool! That's right! This girl is finally 16!
'WHOA WHOA WHOA! Hold your horses! 16!? I'm 16?? Are you for real? Did i go back in time??? Or maybe...this is a different world intierly? Because last time I checked I DID NOT have Sage and Reyna as my moms...'
Now that was a shocker even for Jett. But at the same time it was better than just dying, and the fact she still remembers the protocol was pretty cool but does that mean she...died? Well...That's dark...But if there's another Sage and Reyna does that mean?
'I guess there's only one way to find out...and this diary is my only clue..'
There was clearly a time skip in the diary because the next thing she read wasn't any of her thoughts but rather the schools location and what happened after school
The school is called Multi-Course Valorant High and I'm gonna be an athelette because I'm a GREAT runner! Not much of a fighter, but I'm good at running and jumping, so that's SO me, but since I CAN'T go only for an athlette course for some reason I had to choose another one...so I figured I might aswell go for language class since, not to brag but for a Korean my English is pretty great, besides I made my mom proud for learning her mother tongue aka Spanish so it's a win-win. Our language teacher is some guy named Vincent from I believe he said France? I don't like him very much but he's ok I guess...better than my chemistry teacher Sabine...She's SO SCARY!
But the worst one of them all is a bratty girl named Tala, man I HATE HER! She's constantly bullying and teasing me! I didn't even do anything! And I don't even know how to fight back. I don't wanna tell anyone either because that would be so WEAK, NO WAY! I will find my own way out if it...I hope.
''Wait...what? Neon and I..aren't friends?''
''JETT! YOU ARE GONNA BE LATE FOR YOUR 2nd YEAR! AND YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AT THAT GET DOWN HERE!''
Jett heard the oh so scary and yet familiar voice of Reyna.
Jett picked up her diary and what seemed like her school bag prepared for today and quickly ran downstairs.
''I'm SORRY! I was busy looking for clothes to wear! hah-''
''I know it's your first day...again...but you shouldn't worry about you appearance too much, anyways you hungry for some pancakes?''
''Yes please!''
Jett was excited, I mean she was a pretty good chef herself but Sage made THE BEST pancakes she ever tasted. At least at the protocol.
'hold on...if I'm going to school...when does it start?'
''uhm...S- I mean mom...I forgot when my class starts..''
Sage giggeled as if she knew that was gonna happen, then turned around and placed a plate with a pile of pnacakes in front of Jett.
''Don't worry. I will make sure that your mom gets you there on time, but since we are at the subject, your schedule arrived in the mail this morning''
Sage slid a letter that had the name Sunwoo on it. Jett opened it as carefully as she could. On it it showed all her subjects, when class starts and so on. Luckly for her, school uniforms weren't a thing! How lucky is that?
Jett folded the schedule and put it in her pocket, then took up her fork and started munching on those pancakes that were as good as she remembered. As soon as she finished Reyna put down the daily news she was reading the entire time.
''Alright let's go, we are already 5 minutes late''
Reyna got up walking towards the door putting on a jacket over her black T-shirt.
Jett also got up, grabbed her school bag and started to put on her shoes.
''khm..aren't you both forgetting something?''
Jett turned around to Sage, immideatly realising that Sage wasn't an agent but her mom.
In her shoes she went back to her mom and gave her a peck on her cheek
''Bye mom! I'll see you later!''
And then ran out the door towards a white BMW car and got into the passanger seat.
Reyna turned around giving a good bye kiss to Sage.
''Alright we're off. I will see you after work Darling, I love you''
''I love you too. Take care now''
Reyna closed the doors taking a seat as the driver.
''Let's go''
In about 10 minutes they arrived infront of the school with Jett scared for her life considering that Reyna was speeding with 80km/h in a 50km/h zone, started getting chased by cops, then driving like a maniac escaping them and finally arriving infront of her school.
'Never.....again...'
''Alright, good luck at school and take care''
''alright, bye mom! Love you!''
Jett shut the cars door and without a second thought Reyna drove away once again speeding.
'One day, she will get a speeding ticket for that. If I find Neon bullying me, I won't be holding back, I might of been dating her at the protocol but considering my situation, this isn't that world. Let's do this. Bring it!'
Jett opened the front doors enetering the school. The first thing she did was check where her homeroom is.
'Ah..C6..Alright what's the time?'
The clock on the wall showed 7:24
Jett checked the paper she got in the mail and it said that homeroom starts at 7:30
'Hold up...7:30..? Oh....well...RUN!'
She started running as fast as she could past the info board and the board with the list of school clubs.
'A2, A5.....Damn it!'
She took a random turn going up the stairs.
'hold on B1? That means..'
She run up another set of stairs going all the way to the end of the hallway to the class reading C6.
The second the bell rang is the second she opened the doors.
''that was...close''
She said in between breaths.
''Wow, suprise suprise look who it is. And here I thought you were too scared to show up''
Jett looked up seeing Neon standing infront of her.
'Just perfect...'
Jett smiled.
''Isn't it kinda sad, and strange that the one you were waiting for SO much was me? I mean if I'm so interesting to you, then maybe you should date me instead of all the teasing''
Jett knew exactly what she was doing. She might not have her powers but her tongue and mind were as sharp as ever, especially after that run against the clock. Back at protocol, out of all the young agents, she was on top when it came to hand to hand combat, so if someone wants to pick a fight she won't stop them.
''Hah keep dreaming!''
Jett knew she hit the right button. The world is different and some agents do act differently but their body language and some actions are the same and oh, so very predictable.
For example, when Neon tried to cover up something like her true feelings or intentions or just plain lies, she has a tendancy of frowning her eyebrows, aswell as looking away but only for a split second.
''Sure''
''Alright, settle down everyone and take your seat!''
Jett heard a voice of a certain agent she didn't see very often, but instead of turning around and checking who it is, she just walked towards an empty seat in the 2nd row next to the window and sat down.
''Alright, my name is Efia Danso and I am going to be your homeroom teacher for this year. Any questions? No? Awesome, let's get down to this years buisness and events shall we?''
Yep. Good old Astra still as layed back as always.
In the homeroom they quickly went through some clubs and who is in which or is enetering a new club and how her homeroom class is gonna work.
''Alright class. Role call and also tell me something about yourself!''
And so she started to call out names. It didn't take long to get to Jett.
''Sunwoo Han?''
''Yes, Here!''
''Tell me something about yourself and don't be boring now, that's my job!''
''I'm Sunwoo and I come from Korea, I like sports and I'm also a really good runner''
''Alright sit down''
and with that it kept going and Jett kept on listening waiting for it to be Neons turn.
''Tala Nicole Dimaapi Valdez..Woah, what a name you've got! Tell me something about yourself''
''I'm Tala, I also like sports especially running and basketball. I also have a dog.''
Astra thought Neon was gonna tell her dogs name, but since she didn't, they continued their lesson.
During Astras teaching Jett didn't listen but read her diary instead and memorised some important parts, especially if she wanted to fit into this world.
So far she found out that her good friends are obviously Killjoy and Raze who are secretly together, Neon for some reason acts homophobic, Viper and Chamber have some secret meetings, Yoru has a crush on his wood crafting teacher who is barley older than him, she supposedly doesn't know how to fight but is really good in Spanish and sports, and at the top of her class in those subjects too with Neon coming up close behind her. But she's also hopeless in math and chemistry while the rest of the subjects are average and decent. She also used to have a crush on Phoenix which passed after she realised how clueless he was about her feelings and just gave up on him and she also figured out she was somehow bisexual...She also has a good relationship with Phoenix, Raze and Killjoy and a terrible relationship with Yoru, Neon and Viper.
While she was reading she got caught and had to put her diary away but as it seems, somehow, Jett died and woke up in this alternitive world/reality that she now has no choice, but call home.
'I might not know much here but I know enough. Get ready world, because a storm is coming'.
