Work Text:
Wednesday and Enid entered their shared room.
The duo's hair was still a bit wet because of the events from earlier this evening.
Wednesday groaned, "I am going to kill those so called 'friends' of yours if they ever dare to so much as look at me again"
Enid giggled at the grumpy psychic, "oh come on Willa, we both know you kinda liked it when you got used to the temperature of the water"
"Enid, as much as I would like to give you the satisfaction of being right, I'm afraid I can't even pretend like I enjoyed whatever it was that just happened," said Wednesday with her usual emotionless voice causing the werewolf to pout.
"Oke, I admit, it maybe was kind of reckless of them, but in their defense, they were only trying to get you to show a bit of emotion," Enid says, trying to avoid getting her friends killed by her death-obsessed roomie.
"Emotions are for the weak; I'm an Addams, a real Addams doesn't do weakness"
"Your parents show emotions, right? Would you say they're weak?"
"If my parents were to spend even one second apart from each other, they would, cry, scream, commit arson, and go mad, only to sooner or later choose the coward's option out, which is sending themselves to the afterlife simply to see each other again. So to answer your question, yes I do see my parents as a weaker part of the family"
"Oh" Is the only thing that leaves the werewolf's mouth, a bit taken aback by the response.
"Anyway I am going to take a shower so I don't get an infection, caused by those mentally incapable beings" is the only thing Enid heard before Wednesday disappeared in their shared bathroom.
While Wednesday was showering Enid had time to think. She laid down on her bed, closing her eyes, not minding the blankets getting dirty, she had to replace them later anyway. Recalling the memories that were still fresh in her mind, she thought about the letter that slipped under their doorstep this morning. With on it, written in what seemed like blood, a simple text, saying that they needed to come to the lake at exactly 9 am. So as expected they went to the lake and arrived at exactly 9 am. The supernatural roomies expected an ambush or perhaps a summoning of some sort. What they did not expect however, were hands, pushing them from behind, causing them to fall into the lake, and quickly followed by that, laughter. They turned around in the water and saw Yoko, Divina, Xavier, Ajax, and Bianca.
All cackling like those green figures with black clothing, long noses, big hats, and brooms on the television.
"HAHAHA who would have known, THE Wednesday Addams was so easy to surprise!"
"PFFFT yeah I know right!"
"You two should have seen your faces!"
"Omg please tell me someone got that on camera"
"Are you idiots done" sounds a deadpan voice
And even without looking Enid knew Wednesday was death staring, no, death glaring at her friends.
Enid herself was chucking a bit, as she found the turn of events and atmosphere quite enjoyable; but she tried to keep quiet because she didn't have a deathwish.
Still in the water, the two opposites looked like a wet dog and cat who had fallen in the lake on accident.
"Well? Isn't anyone going to help us get out?"
Said a grumpy and soaked black cat.
The five still-dry Nevermore students, smirked at them and before they could figure out what it meant, the whole squad jumped in the water, creating a huge splash, making it seem like it was raining.
They swam a bit after that and just had fun together in the water, although Wednesday would have said that it was training for when you need to swim fast and away from a crime scene after getting rid of some annoying parasite.
Enid was brought back to the present by the sound of an opening door. That door being their bathroom door revealing a now less grumpy Addams. She was already in pajamas and clearly tired.
"The shower is free," said the goth girl, stating the obvious, which was pretty out of character for her. Enid didn't pay much attention to it, not when there was a hot shower waiting for her.
When the blonde came out of the shower Wednesday was laying in Enid's bed and had already switched out the blankets.
It wasn't anything new, but still, it gave her butterflies in her stomach, ever since the new semester had started, both the psychic and werewolf had been craving each other's touch.
But neither of them had said anything about it, too scared to destroy what was already there, yet it was never enough.
The under the table hand-holding, leaning their head on the other's shoulder, embraces, or even sleeping in each other's bed holding one another, was, while being really nice, just not enough.
All these thoughts went through Enid's head as she looked at the sleeping brunette, noticing once again how cute her roomie was.
When she joined her crush in bed, said crush immediately wrapped her arms around Enid and nuzzled her head in her neck, sighing happily as she felt the familiar touch and warmth radiating from the werewolf.
Enid rested her head on top of the smaller girl, wrapping her arms around her shoulders, returning the embrace.
Holding her secret love, Enid was fast asleep, dreaming about a certain grumpy girl.
Wednesday woke up first as usual.
The first thing she noticed was how she felt, warm; the second thing was that she could not move, at all, then she opened her eyes and was met with the oh-so-familiar sight of a certain she-wolfs face, thereby also finding the cause of her earlier observations.
The psychic considered her options.
She could either, get out of bed since she was already awake, or, she could stay here and spare herself the groans and whines from Enid that'd surely come when she would try to escape from the blonde's hold.
After considering and thinking about the positives and negatives, Wednesday decided that she'd stay for just a little longer.
And the main reason was that she really didn't feel like waking the other up.
It definitely had nothing to do with the fact that, if she stayed like this, she could enjoy the warmth and comfort radiating from the sunshine girl beside her, while looking at her beautiful, soft, adorable, and oh-so-kissable face.
No of course not.
Wednesday would never think of such cheesy and soft thoughts.
But deep down, she knew, her heart was slowly opening up, letting the sunlight warm it, making it beat in ways she had never felt before.
But that's something for later.
