In the specific case of Lab Rats, Marse not being incest is believing in Alternative Canon/Alternative universe. Just because they say something in a show doesn’t mean that fanfiction needs to completely align with canon. I wouldn’t ship an actual sibling pair, that’s gross.
Well who decided that it was incest? if it was incest there wouldn't be at least 20 fics with that ship on fanfiction(.)net, it's hard to tell because FFN only added the pairing definition thing after Lab Rats was already established as a fandom. And 18 fics with that pairing on archive of our own, including one that just got posted this month.
You can't bully someone just because you don't like their ship. It's not my only ship. But it's dumb that you guys are bullying people when everyone has different beliefs about how the rats were created.
Marcus was an android in canon, and in an AU where he's human and Douglas' didn't use his own DNA to make him, and in either universe Marcus wasn't raised with the rats.
A) Marcus is an android.
B) Marcus never acknowledged the ABC being his siblings, just Daniel.
C) So logically, Douglas only used his own DNA to create Daniel, and Marcus wasn’t raised with the rats so not only are they NOT genetically related but Marcus was not raised with the rats so it isn’t incest even if the rats being raised together makes the rats times each other incest.
D) If it was actually incest, there would not have been Marse fanfics from the beginning. Yes I realise that people are fucked up but most of the fics in the fandom are from kids/teens that were watching the show at the time not disgusting adults.
F) You should be attacking the Thundermans fandom for all the Thundercest, not a ship that PEOPLE HAVE HEADCANONS/ALTERNATE CANON/THEIR OWN AUS SPECIFICALLY TO MAKE IT NOT INCEST APPARANTLY.
FANFICTION DOES NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW CANON IT CAN BE WHATEVER YOU WANT IT TO BE. IF I SAY THAT THEY ARE NOT SIBLINGS/COUSINS IN MY UNIVERSE THEN THEY ARE NOT SIBLINGS/COUSINS.

We should focus on the ships we both ship, ie Chase/Sebastian, Chase/Kaz or Adam/Tank, or Brylar, etc instead of bullying each other. What's actually problematic is the pedophilic ships (ships with Spin not aged up nfor example because he's literally 12, when usually people lost virginity at 15 and the age of consents in state are usually at least 15. And the actual incest (Douglas/Donald- but if they are adopted and consenting adults it's different even if it's still fucking gross). We should not have to have multiple accounts or orphan old fics to avoid being bullied for our ships. Although I have always just had one account. I joined tumblr because the contentent on Fanfiction.net has been lacking for years. My FFN is FallOutPrincess (dumb username from high school) until I find a better username. I forgot I even had this account tbh but this is an import issue.
Let ships be and let AUs be AUs.
