Work Text:
Maybe walking around at night wasn’t as safe as she had initially thought.
Kimi left the AAG building at about 1 am, not trusting to leave any incomplete affair before her upcoming journey to Losol City. As if there hadn’t been enough trouble already with her and her father’s absence during the ridiculous short span of a week.
She gritted her teeth, harshly grabbing her purse and a folder that contained important documents regarding White Blossom. She will find the dress, the treasure of her family. She will preserve the memory of her dead mother.
Her heels resonated through the empty and dark corridor, the only source of light was the flashlight from her phone; and as she looked around the empty building, she suddenly felt overwhelmed. After Charles’ murder and her father’s kidnapping, she had become President overnight, and it had been necessary for her to catch up on everything that has happened during the last days, including how Mercury Group fit in all this.
But she was glad to be in charge, that way she had all responsibility on her shoulders and, if something turned out wrong, her father would be away from the public eye. However, Kimi was sure that everything will return to normal. It had to. Well, everything except her relationship with Reid.
Kimi furiously opened the door to the staircase that led to the ground floor.
That… that traitor. Even though their companies were rivals, they respected each other so much on a personal level that they never got in the other’s way. Hell, she even considered him more than a close acquaintance! A friend… or…
Her chest suddenly bolted up when the memory of their kiss flashed before her eyes. She blushed, glad that there was nobody there and that she was surrounded by darkness.
She refused to think that all these years meant nothing to him, that he would simply join Nidhogg and take advantage of their close relationship to steal White Blossom. Did he really had no other choice?
Bullshit.
He had always proclaimed his admiration for her, praised her hard work, joined her to visit the children at the orphanage, and even held a fireworks show for her every year. How could he, out of all people, manage to place so many doubts in her heart? Would she be able to trust anymore? Orlando, Joe, her father and Nikki. Her list of trusted friends had decreased tremendously after the White Blossom Banquet, and she wanted nothing more than to cry her eyes out for letting herself be used like that. For letting her feelings of blind trust to hide the dark truth.
Kimi reached the ground floor and hastily bid good night to the two security guards that were stationed near the front door. Her paranoia suddenly kicked in, and he eyed the two men cautiously. They had been working there for more than 5 years and never raised any concerns in her mind. Until now.
She shook her head and left the building, silently berating herself. She could not live like this. She could not be afraid of every person that surrounded her.
The night air was a bit cold even though it was almost summer, and she embraced the chill that went down her spine, making her forget about her problems for just a second.
Shit. So much for a second of peace. As she looked around, she realised that she had forgotten to appoint her car to come and pick her up, and she couldn’t call Joe at this hour, not when she had insisted almost 2 hours ago that he should go home and rest, much to his determination to not leave without dropping her at home first. After much insisting on her part, Joe had begrudgingly agreed to leave, and told her that she should call him if she needed anything. Well, she needed a ride home, but she wasn’t going to disturb him anymore that day.
Ok, it’s not really that far, I can walk and clear my mind a bit.
She pressed the folder to her chest and started walking, glad that there were people still on the streets. If it had been Friday or Saturday, the street would have been packed with party goers, but that didn’t happen during the week, and even less in a working district like Brick Street.
The sound of her heels hitting the pavement got her walking on autopilot, and her mind drifted back to the auction, Charles, Nikki, the dance with Reid, Bobo offering to confront him, Sofia, Hiber, Orlando, Joe, the sniper and… Nidhogg, presumably the mastermind behind the last events. First Lilith, then Cloud, now Apple… What even is happening?
Sudden footsteps behind her made her heart jump to her throat.
She turned around quickly.
Nothing.
Kimi, you are going nuts.
She resumed her walking, this time though, her legs moved faster, and her senses and mind focused entirely on her surroundings. She pressed the folder tightly to her chest.
She turned a corner, and stopped. Hesitation invaded her mind when she realised that she had to leave the security of the main street and go into a dimly-lit passageway that led away from the financial area and onto the wealthy neighbourhoods. Yes, she could keep walking until she reached the roundabout that connected the financial main street with the main road to the neighbourhoods, but that added another 15 minutes to her currently 10 minute trip.
Here goes nothing.
Kimi breathed in deeply, looked around to her sides and stepped in the almost dark street, leaving behind the only people that could help her if something were to happen.
She only focused on walking. She had to reach the main road of the nearest neighbourhood, and she could already see it from where she was. She was not afraid for her safety as Kimi, but she was terrified of her safety as AAG’s president and the only hope to save her father. And the documents she carried with her could never end up in any ones’ hands. Frantic thoughts danced around her head, and she started to panic, her feet now sprinting a bit. I’m such a fool, I should have walked to the nearest taxi stop. What was I thinking?
Footsteps again, and this time, they were near.
Shit.
Kimi didn’t have time to look behind, as it was pretty clear now that she was being followed.
She started to fully run, desperate to reach the light in front of her, the comfort of having houses around her, where she could be heard if she screamed.
“You are not escaping this time, lady Kimi”, said a deep male voice almost in her ear.
She shrieked out of surprise. When and how has he reached her? She hadn’t even realised how close her pursuer actually was!
She dared a glance behind her, and the sight made her whole body tremble: a man twice her size, dressed in black and covering his head was almost on top of her. She had just a second to register that he was not the sniper that Orlando confronted, before her heel dug into a small crevice in the pavement and the world around her started to spin.
No! I have to protect the documents! I have to save dad!
Her arm and shoulder hit the ground first, and she moaned in pain, but never let go of the folder.
“It’s no use, stop running already”
The man was at her feet, and he had already extended a gloved hand to grab her.
She screamed again, struggling to stand up without using her arms, which were protecting the folder.
The big hand took her by the shoulder and pulled her to her feet, digging his fingers into her skin so hard that she hissed in pain.
Nobody will hear me here. The Blood Curse is my only hope. He is using force, so maybe I can escape when he weakens.
However, the strength only increased. The man spun her around, immediately reaching for the folder still in her arms, but she pulled with all of her might, never letting go.
“Fine, I was going to take you as well anyway. I will have those documents later”, said the man, pushing Kimi harshly to the wall and drawing a handkerchief that was dripping some liquid out of his pocket.
Chloroform!
Kimi was so desperate and terrified that she found no voice to scream anymore, nor strength to confront the man. Her body was completely paralyzed save for her eyes, that were moving wildly as she scanned her surroundings in frantic search for someone or something that could help her.
Why is he not affected by the Blood Curse? How long does it take for the pain to kick in? Anybody help, please!
Her mind was running like crazy at that moment, which made her miss the loud sound of a car suddenly screeching to a stop.
Everything happened too quickly then.
Her assailant looked behind him, and Kimi could notice shock present in his eyes as he turned his head.
Kimi’s gaze travelled then to the bright black limo that she hadn’t realised was there, behind the man that was still digging his nails on her now bruised skin. She heard him say something, as if he was calling to the owner of the limo, but her heart was drumming so violently inside her ears, that she was unable to decipher what the message was.
And, suddenly, a fist went colliding into the man’s face. And then, another time.
Kimi gasped, her eyes almost popping out of her head.
Her assailant finally released her and turned completely to the newcomer. Without that brute holding her up, her legs gave in, and she dragged her back against the wall until she reached the dirty ground of that almost dark street, where she sat unable to move, still trying to comprehend what was happening.
She observed, mouth hanging open, how her saviour grabbed the man by the collar and pushed him harshly to the wall besides her. And that’s when she saw him.
R-Reid?!
Indeed, her former friend, her rival in business, the traitor that lied to her, was now fighting off her assailant. And she had never seen him so angry before.
“Don’t you dare touch her, do you hear me?” he seethed.
Reid’s usually calm and gentle voice sounded so full of venom and hatred that it even gave her chills.
“But I have orders from your allies, Mr Mercury!”, said the man, a trail of blood dripping from his cheek.
Reid’s eyes went wild. He moved his hands from the man’s collar to his throat, and Kimi could clearly see the veins of his fingers popping out when he tightened his hold.
“I asked if you heard me”
His voice sounded dangerously low, and for the first time in her life, Kimi could not recognize Reid. Her assailant gasped for air and tried to weakly push the younger man away from him, to no avail. That’s when Kimi finally snapped out of her shock and came to herself again. With renewed strength and forgetting the folder on the floor, she automatically scrambled to her feet and launched herself at the two men.
“Reid, stop!”
He briefly looked down to her, eyes softening a little, before returning his attention back to squeezing the other man’s throat.
“I can’t, Kimi. They know they shouldn’t go for you and still did”
“I don’t care! You are going to kill him, stop, please!” she pleaded, grabbing Reid’s arm and trying to pull it away from the now purple-faced man. “The Blood Curse is going to hit you any moment now!”.
And just then, as if she had provoked it with her words, Reid suddenly bent down with a gasp, his hands leaving the man’s throat to grab at his own chest.
“Fuck!” he hissed, falling to his knees alongside the other man, who slumped to the floor gasping for air.
Kimi immediately crouched down beside Reid, her mind racing, trying to find a way, although she knew there wasn’t any, to ease the pain of the Blood Curse.
“Don’t worry, it should go away soon… after all, I couldn’t kill him”, he managed to say, breathing with difficulty, and Kimi could see that he was covered in sweat.
“But you almost did, that’s why you are suffering so much…You… you are completely out of your mind”, she murmured, patting his back in an attempt to comfort him. A sound to her left startled her, and she could see Reid’s driver coming out of the limo and running to them.
“Mr President! For goodness sake, are you ok?!”
Kimi knitted her brows, staring daggers at him.
“Why didn’t you come sooner? Could you not see what was happening here?”, she questioned.
“Kimi”, Reid said weakly, making the girl turn to him again, “I ordered him to not intervene no matter what. I wanted to deal with this myself”.
She looked angrily at him, mouth opening and closing quickly as she failed to form in her mouth the yells and insults she wanted to throw at him for his reckless behaviour. His sudden weak chuckle cut her off. Kimi observed how he tried to move his now unfocused eyes in her direction while he managed to pull a faint smirk. His voice sounded hoarse when he spoke.
“Be careful, milady, one might say that you are worried for me”
And, just like that, he fainted.
Kimi caught him in her arms, struggling a bit to maintain him from falling face-first into the floor due to their much different body structures.
“Mr President!”, the driver quickly caught a hold of Reid’s body. Once she was sure that Reid was safe with him, Kimi slowly stood up, still trembling.
Her assailant had managed to recover his breath, and was crawling to where she had left the folder, a few feet away from them.
She angrily strode towards him, and dig her sharp heel on his back with all the strength she managed to gather, making him recoil in pain.
“This”, she said, picking up the folder, “is mine”. She crouched down next to him and grabbed his face, turning it to her. “I know it was Nidhogg the one who sent you. Tell him that I will go to him very soon”, she whispered dangerously, her nails digging into the man’s cheeks. “Tell him I will go to the North Kingdom to save my father and reclaim White Blossom. Now, disappear”
She stood up, and without looking back to him, made her way to Reid’s limo, where the driver was stuffing his boss’ body through the back door. Kimi heard her assailant’s footsteps getting further away, and she released a breath she wasn’t even aware that she was holding.
She helped to get Reid’s body inside the vehicle, laying him down on top of the expensive leather back seat.
“Lady Kimi”, called the driver, “I don’t exactly know what is happening, but I can’t let you go alone after this incident. Please, come inside”.
To say that she hesitated was an understatement. She had just been almost kidnapped and robbed by Reid’s allies. None other than Nidhogg and that mysterious sniper, and who knows who else was involved. Was she really going to get into the limo with her now-enemy?
But Reid had just saved her… right?
“Ouch!”, she suddenly exclaimed, a sudden shock of pain hitting her body.
I also used some force…
She sought balance by leaning on the surface of the limo, her breath becoming ragged.
If the mild strength she used caused this immense pain, no wonder Reid couldn’t bear it without fainting after what he did. The fact that she had a small and untrained body didn’t help at all; after all, the amount of pain caused by the Blood Curse was different for each and every person, depending on many factors.
“Lady Kimi, please! Now I have to insist even more!”, said the driver urgently, approaching her.
She raised her palm to him, and he stopped dead in his tracks.
“Alright, alright”, she conceded, sensing no apparent danger. And, well, what other choice did she have?
She entered the limo slowly, sitting beside Reid’s head. The pain was hitting her stronger now, and she clutched at her chest, gritting her teeth.
“I have to take both of you to the hospital immediately”, said the driver, closing the door and running to his seat at the front.
“No”, Kimi said breathily once the man started the limo. “You know that there is no cure for the Curse except time. It will go away sooner or later. And besides, everyone knows who we are. We cannot simply admit that we have used physical violence. We would be on the front page of Amphitea News by tomorrow morning”.
The driver seemed to ponder her words, and finally released a defeated sigh.
“To your house then, Lady Kimi?”
“No”, she looked down at Reid’s sleeping face. “To his”.
-----
It was necessary to call two bodyguards to carry them both to the upper floor of Reid’s apartment complex, where he lived. The strongest one carried the president of Mercury Group over his shoulder, and another one took Kimi in his arms, where she briefly lost consciousness upon entering the elevator. She recovered her senses just when they reached the top floor, the folder still tightly pressed to her chest. She observed Reid, knowing that she would have silently laughed at him dangling from the bodyguard’s shoulder if the situation wasn’t that serious.
The man that was carrying her left her on the big couch in the living room, and the other took Reid to his bed. They continuously insisted on calling a doctor if she didn’t want to go to the hospital, but she refused every time, saying that their reputation was at stake.
“I am alright, I am already recovering, and he will do so soon as well. I need to discuss some private matters with your boss that can’t wait until tomorrow.” Kimi said to the men, who still looked at her hesitantly. “Don’t worry, I am sure that you are aware of the current disputes between Mr Mercury and myself, but for the sake of our past friendship, I will take care of him until he feels better”.
The men exchanged a glance and nodded, sighing. Everyone knew Kimi and her heart of gold, and also the soft spot that Reid had for the girl. They chose to believe that they were safe with each other, and left to guard the door of the apartment, staying near just in case.
Kimi looked around her once she was alone. She had been in this apartment some times before, at fancy parties or simply having tea with Reid and both of their fathers. She had always found a friendly environment and a kind smile there. And now…
She took off her heels and stood up, glad to see that she had completely recovered, although her shoulder had a bruise and some scratches thanks to that man’s nails. The pain of the Blood Curse was not only very intense, but it also lasted accordingly to the amount of force or violence one uses. Luckily for her, she barely hurt that man. But, what about him? She didn’t saw him getting hit by pain… She also briefly wondered how Nidhogg made it through after… well… after the events in Cloud City. She bit her lip, feeling a bit guilty for not pressing Apple’s President enough to send reinforcements at that moment. If only she had been more involved in that specific political affair like the rest of the financial groups…
Shaking her head, Kimi made her way to the kitchen. She could not keep living in the past, she had to learn from her mistakes and these terrible events, and act differently if things like that happened again. But she made a mental note to ask Reid about the lack of pain in Nidhogg and her assailant. She was sure that he knew something.
She grabbed two glasses and filled them with water, chugging down one of them immediately. Upon lowering the glass, she realised, looking confused at her hand, that she was shaking.
What is this?
Her cheek was wet and her vision was blurry.
What? Am I…?
Her chest constricted, and she was suddenly aware that she hadn’t even have time to take into consideration all the feelings and sensations she had been holding inside her chest since the incident at the passageway.
And, for once in a long time, Kimi conceded herself the pleasure to show her emotions, silently crying while facing Reid’s fridge, just in case someone walked in on her.
Ok, ok, calm down.
She breathed in deeply, glad to hear no sound except for her little sniffing, and proceeded to dry off her tears and clean her nose a bit with a handkerchief she kept inside her purse, which had been hanging from her shoulder the whole time. She left it on top of the counter and grabbed again one of the glasses of water, walking resolutely to Reid’s bedroom.
----
That big bodyguard had left the bedside lamp on, so Kimi could perfectly see Reid sprawled on top of his bed, fully clothed, his usually well-kept hair a bit messy. His face was constricted, probably still due to the pain.
“Reid”, she whispered, poking his arm a bit.
Nothing. He was breathing with difficulty. Kimi left the glass on top of the table and softly grabbed his shoulder.
“Reid”, she called a bit louder, shaking him.
She let out a surprised squeak when Reid’s hand suddenly shot up and blindly grabbed her arm. He opened his eyes with a deep gasp, his pupils moving wildly around the ceiling, and he sounded desperate when he called her.
“Kimi!”
“I-I’m here, Reid”, she answered, entering his range of vision. Kimi could perfectly see then the relief reflected in his eyes upon seeing her face. She mentally noted their intimate situation, and blushed a bit before looking away.
“Are you ok?”, he asked urgently, still grabbing her arm, eyebrows knitted together.
“I am… what about you?”, she handed him the water.
He released her and breathed deeply, hoisting himself up a bit with his elbows and drinking up the entire glass of water like she had done before.
“Thanks. I am fine now.” He sat up completely then and looked curiously at her. “What are you doing here, by the way?”
Kimi bit her lip, feeling a bit self-aware of the strange situation.
“First, I wanted to thank you for saving me,” she looked at Reid, and he nodded, smiling, “but I also had to be here to see how you were doing. You know we couldn’t have gone to a hospital”
“You are completely right. Amphitea would be feeding on us for who knows how long if they knew”
Kimi nodded, and took the empty glass from Reid’s hand, leaving it again on top of the table.
“Thank you, Kimi, for taking care of me. I guess tonight makes us even, from that time you saved me the first time we met”, he smiled warmly at her, and she swore she could see a faint blush grazing his cheeks. “I… I would have never guessed the intensity of the pain from the Blood Curse” he hissed a bit, clearly remembering what happened at the passageway, “but,” he focused his grey irises on her, “even knowing that now, I would still kill anyone who dares to touch you again”.
Kimi looked down in thought. She felt annoyed at him. He was part of the reason she had been in danger, and now he was threatening to kill anyone who dares to attack her again. Was he her enemy or not? She heard him chuckle.
“I know what you are thinking”, he stood up slowly and stretched a bit, looking down at her. “I am now the enemy of Apple Apparel Group and a supporter of Nidhogg’s cause”
Kimi felt her heart stopping, and a mix of sadness and anger took over her. But she did nothing to show it.
“But”, he continued, looking into her eyes, “I am not Kimi’s enemy”
“That makes no sense at all”, she spat, suddenly regretting her decision to leave her heels in the living room. Being a bit taller gave her much more confidence, but she was not going to back down anyway.
“It does”, he said, “but the situation puts me in a difficult position, since you are both the president of AAG and… you.”
Kimi raised an eyebrow at him.
“You are my enemy as long as you intervene in this as a representative of those in Apple who are against Nidhogg, but you are also the only person I want to protect. Does that make sense now?”
She held her head up and returned the intense stare.
“I see. In that case I will let you know now that I don’t plan to stay out of political affairs anymore. My father, AAG and Miraland’s peace are all important to me, and I will do my best to protect them all, even if I still don’t have a full grasp on what your plan is. Does that make sense to you?”
Reid’s initial look of surprise turned into a warm smile.
“Yes, and I am glad to hear that you will fight for what you think is right… even though it actually is wrong”
That took Kimi by surprise, and for a few good seconds, she didn’t know what to say.
“How can protecting Miraland be wrong?”
Reid sighed, and Kimi could practically see the gears rotating inside his head, looking for the perfect explanation.
“I guess you will hear about everything sooner or later, so I’m going to give you a head start”, he stood in front of his door and motioned for her to follow him into the living room. She begrudgingly walked behind him until they reached the two couches separated by a small tea table.
“Oh, wait, would you like some…” Reid looked at his watch, “2:30 am tea? I could prepare some for us”
“Yes, thank you. I guess we are going to have a long, bitter conversation, so better make it as good as possible with some tea”
Reid chuckled and made his way to the kitchen. Kimi sat down, and listened to him preparing everything while she patiently waited, making a mental list of all the questions and inquiries she wanted to ask him, including how come he was able to find her that night to save her.
Not long after, Reid appeared again, carrying a tray with two cups, a teapot and a small plate of biscuits, and, dangling from his shoulder, her purse.
“Oh, s-sorry about that, I forgot I left it in the kitchen. And also I have to apologize for leaving my heels here. I was not feeling too well then and couldn’t think properly about my actions”, Kimi said, embarrassed to the core, standing up to help him. Manners came first, after all.
“I have always told you to make yourself at home here, so no need to apologize at all”, he assured her, pouring the tea and handing one cup to her.
“Thank you”, she said smiling, just for her to internally hit herself a second later for falling for his natural soft ways. It made it all the more difficult to confront him.
They both sat down then, on opposite couches, and an uncomfortable heavy silence fell upon them.
Well, uncomfortable at least from Kimi’s perspective. She saw Reid calmly sipping on his tea, clearly enjoying it. She then realised that he was simply waiting for her to start bombarding him with questions.
“Why?”, was the first thing that came to her mind.
He sipped again, and leaned over to take one biscuit.
“I saw eye to eye to his view of the world”, he said, leaning back again. “The Blood Curse is a method imposed on us so we act like sheep in a world full of wolves”
“We?”, she eyed him over the rim of her cup. “I certainly am not a sheep, I have just simply learned to live peacefully, like any sane person would. Those wolves that you are talking about are a minority that should be punished with the Curse for wanting to disturb that peace”
Reid nodded, but his expression darkened.
“The theory is flawless, but let me remind you that the Curse won’t stop those who want to hurt or kill others. The only thing it does is cause pain to those who fight back and defend themselves”
“That’s why we have the styling battles, so there is no need to fight and defend”, said Kimi.
“Let me repeat myself: there are people who want to kill, and the Blood Curse won’t stop them”. Reid’s tone was full of venom, and it suddenly occurred to Kimi that there was something more behind his words.
“Look Reid, if this is about what happened 13 years ago…”, she trailed off, knowing it was a difficult topic for him.
“It initially was, yes”, he said. “But I am also thinking now about people like me and you, people who are in a position of power, and whose life could be threatened at any moment. We have a right to defend ourselves without consequences”.
Kimi scoffed.
“Are you seriously telling me that? The only time my life was in danger was tonight, and it was all your allies’ doing!”
“That is true, and I am undoubtedly sorry for that”, Reid said, taking another sip. “But what happened tonight can happen again. Think about all the possible candidates that want you out. Apple has many powerful companies, after all, and the competition is fiercer everyday”.
Kimi pondered his words for a moment, calmly taking a biscuit from the plate.
“Let’s say that you are right and you, I don’t know how, manage to remove the Curse from Miraland”, she started to say, her grey irises boring onto him, “would not that create more violence? Don’t you think that people who were on the fence about using force will stop supressing their desires and go on a rampage? Heck, we don’t even have a system that can support what you are defending! Our judicial system, laws, jail rules… everything revolves almost completely around styling battles!”
“Nidhogg is here to change everything”, Reid answered, the intensity of his eyes not wavering a bit. “He, alongside the Night Order, which are his allies, will bring a new system based on the freedom of using force, with all its advantages and drawbacks for those who abuse it”, he explained, pouring himself some more tea. “This means that using violence blindly will be punished by the new laws that will be established accordingly.”
Kimi raised an eyebrow, completely at a loss for words.
“Kimi”, Reid continued, leaning over to her across the table, a smile that reflected what could only be described as excitement adorned his face, “don’t you see that this will only bring positive aspects for all of us? I mean, provided that you or your bodyguards have to defend you, you won’t face any physical pain from the Curse as a punishment for saving your own life! It is actually crazy that we are living like this!”, he scoffed, only for him to breathe deeply a second later, trying to regain his composure.
Kimi left her cup on top of the table and crossed her hands on top of her knees, biting her lip for what she was about to say.
“You… you are not only joining Nidhogg in order to create this utopian world right, Reid?”, she asked, earning a curious look from him. “You are going to do business out of it. You have always been really ambitious, and I don’t see how you can get engaged in something like this if there is no money involved”
The look he gave her then… that was something she had never seen before in him. He suddenly looked like a deer caught in the headlights, eyeing her as if he was a kid that got discovered doing something bad.
Bingo.
Kimi actually realised that she was discovering many new faces of Reid that night, and she wasn’t quite sure she liked them.
“I…”, Reid said clearing his throat a bit, immediately changing his expression into a calm smile, “I actually am, yes. You know me too well, milady”, he chuckled, although Kimi could see that he shifted uncomfortably on his seat.
She sighed, reaching for the teapot to pour herself some more tea. Reid immediately grasped it first, alongside her cup, and mumbled a breathy “allow me”. She thanked him, taking the cup and sitting again comfortably, looking at him with a sad expression.
“I must admit… that I am very disappointed”, she said sternly. “I-I thought I knew you. Your ambitiousness is something that I quite admired, even when you showed no mercy with your rival companies at the time of crushing them down, financially speaking", she sighed. "After all, that is what we do, that is our role as the heads of our companies…”, she trailed off. “But this… this is different. You are seeking money out of a war, out of whatever that murderer Nidhogg’s plan is”, Kimi cringed internally when her voice broke a bit, but refused to silence her angry thoughts. “You stole White Blossom from me, you used me as a distraction, y-you-“
“That kiss was real”, he suddenly cut her off.
