The immediate sound of buzzing rang in his head as the boy in the chair snapped his eyes open.
The sound rang like the tune that you could hear on a zelda or pokemon game from the early 2000’s,yet he couldn’t make out why it sounded so familiar....
He scanned the room.
It was small,dimly lighted,the only furniture being his chair and the chair in front of him,of which was empty,and a steel door.
The small boy stood up and made his way up to the door.
The door creaked open revealing a room about the size of an average dorm room in the academy,decorated with furniture that looked like the main living room from an 80’s style sitcom.
“Hello?”
he turned over to see a girl,around his age who looked a little taller than him with dark blue hair that was messily tied up in a knot,her eyes were a dark brown and her pale skin had paint splattered all over her arms,along with that she wore a red dress with an apron that didn’t seem to do much,and jewelry that seemed handmade.
Startled,he jumped back “ah!sorry,didn’t mean to startle you there...but it seems you’ve woken up!”her tone was a mixture of stressed and cheery,she looked like she was startled.
“Ah....erm,sorry for startling you too?”he said awkwardly,oh god he was already in one of these situations....
Awkwardness filled the room as he walked up to the girl “Haku Shirokane,super high school level violinist”he held up a hand as the girl happily took it “Mai Anno,super high school level arts and crafts master”
Mai huh...nice name.
“Nice to meet you”Haku smiled.
“Nice to meet you too”Mai replied.
“Now.....mai.do you by any chance have any idea what we are doing here?”her face freezes,”no...I actually was gonna wait till you woke up till i would explore”she nudged her head towards a red door “oh....”
Haku made a beeline for the door,mai following him as they opened it,revealing a hallway with the same 80’s look as the room.
Whoever designed this place must’ve had a big knack for the 80’s aesthetic.
the hallway had all kinds of decor.pictures of flowers,vases,paintings,etcétera.
he took mai’s hand and they walked through the hallway,taking twist and turns until they found that was at the end of the hallway.
When they opened the door they were greeted With two girls.
The first girl was tan,petite,small,her hair was a ginger color and looked messy and she wore a white bunny hood and a dotted mini skirt with red sneakers,with a yellow.
The second girl was tall and broad,with dark chocolate brown hair and light brown eyes,a baby blue button t-shirt,a dark blue mini skirt,and a light blue jacket with multiple badge sand pins on it,combat boots,multible bandaids,and a dark blue visor with a tiny dark blue accessory on the side of it.
The pair looked at each other until one of them broke the silence “i told you it wasn’t locked,rui!”
“Ami”the girl with the visor said,”maybe it only opens from the outside?”
”Hah!as if”the girl in the beanie yelled,”you’re just saying that because you turned the knob to the wrong side and don’t want to admit it!”
The visor girl sighed,”I’ll let you have this one,for good luck”
“Great!”the beanie girl seemed upbeat”that’s one good steak of good luck!”
The girls smile turned a frown,”which means things can only go down”
The visor girl patted her back.
“Talking about the door....”the visor girl made her gaze to them”who are you two?”
“Ah,uh,Haku Shirokane,ultimate violinist” he held out his hand.
“Mai anno,ultimate arts and crafts master”
She stared blankly towards haku “rui abiko,ultimate park ranger”
The beanie girl came from behind of rui “ami shinagawa,ultimate “lucky” student,though you might as well just shorten it to student and take out the lucky at this point”
She didn’t take his hand.
“Anyways,nice to meet you two”mai made her way closer to the pair.and while rui didn’t react ami just said a dry and tired “nice to meet you too”
“Anyways,since you came from that door,i bet that you’ve already wandered the hallways?”rui asked,of which haku could only nod “kinda,we only explored this hallway”
Rui walked past him to examine it
“Well,seems like whoever put us here was comited to the vibe of nothing but yellow and red”
“Except for the rooms we woke up in”ami added.
Rui sighed,”look,we four are stuck in an unknown place with no memory of how we got here,so,as the ultimate park ranger,it is my duty to protect you”she pointed at haku,mai,and ami “so i will lead the way as the person who probably has more fighting experience,and also the tallest”
So as a scream came from the floor underneath them,rui fronted as they scrambled until mai found the stairs,however ami was at the complete other side,so they had to go without her.
they rushed down the stairs until they found two boys.
One of them was a somewhat short(albeit not as short as haku,however he was taller than mai) with Messy cerulean hair and emerald eyes,along with that had wore a bucket hat with a hood a few shades darker than his hair and a vest with shoulder pads and gloves,along with leggings and mountain boots.
The other boy was frail yet tall with barely cared for brown hair,olive skin,and a white button up t-shirt and a first aid kit attched to the belt.
“God.....fucking.....dammit....”the boy with the bucket hat cursed,laying on the floor clutching his ankle “did people put butter here for fun?”
“W-Wouldn’t make much s-sense” the brunette replied,checking the bucket hat boy’s ankle,Though it was hard since bucket hat boy was clutching it,”i think it was because of the fact you were running up the stairs,also can you remove your hand from your ankle?”
“Ugh”bucket hat boy retorted,removing the hands from his ankle,then looking up to see everyone “who the fuck are you?”
The brunette made his gaze from bucket hat boy to everyone else.”a-ah,h-how long have you been here”,he said jumping back.
“Since the moment we have been here”rui replied,walking up to bucket hat boy,”seems like a sprained ankle”
“Well,thats just swell”
the brunette stood up,”no problem,”rui stated.
The brunette stood silently “i-i should introduce myself”he said “my n-name is s-shigeru fujioka,ultímate caretaker”
“Rui abiko,park ranger” she pointed towards haku and mai “Haku Shirokane,violinist,and mai Anno,arts and crafts master”
he waved silently.
“Uh....FORGETTING SOMETHING!”bucket hat boy stated very annoyed.
“Ah,uh,sorry”shigeru picked up bucket hat boy by the shoulder and carried him,”akihito natsume”shigeru said”ultimate-“
“Ultimate bird keeper,akihito natsume,ultimate bird keeper”Akihito cut him off.
“Oh,well,uh,nice to meet you akihi-“
“You can just shorten it to hito”he stated.
“Oh,um,alright hito”haku smiled.
“Good”he rushed to the stairs “now i gotta find-god dammit”
He almost fell to the ground as shigeru caught him,before chooping him up and bridal carrying him”nope,you a-arent goin up the stairs“
Akihito had a bright blush across his face “p-put me d-down IDIOT”
Shigeru sighed “no”
“You should really take care of yourself...i mean,your hair is a mess,you look like you havent eaten properly in a few days and you tried To run up the stairs with a sprained ankle”
“...like your one to talk”
Shigeru sent him a glare.
“Okay,okay,I probably shouldn’t be calling you hypocritical while you are carying me”he pouted. “
Anyways,any idea on how any of us got here?”
The room went silent at shigeru’s question”...i will be taking that as a no”
“I do suppose that nobody really remembers,then”
....who said that?
The voice was disconnected from the room and sounded more mature and proper.
Everyones head turned to the girl,who was sitting at the doorframe.
She had green hair That was tie din a ponytail and Green eyes along with pale skin.
She wore a dark blue dress that somewhat resembled a fancy school uniform.
She wore a button up shirt with a ribbon tied around it like a tie,her jacket was puffed At the waist and sleves and was held together by three buttons,along with that a single mitten has hanging by her waist and she wore black gloves,that,much like the rest of her clothing were embroided in bunny and bear patterns.
“I do suppose its natural but I cannot say i was not surprised that the rest didn’t remember a thing”everyone looked at the new guest
She gazed her eyes to the rest.
“Ah,how impolite i have been”she gave a smile “coming into this conversation all out of nowhere like that.....how rude of me”
Rui stepped in front of the rest as the choking sounds of a cetain “lucky” student were heard out “hey!-you forgot me-ah!”
Everybody’s eyes gazed over to the petite girl scrambling to gain her composure after falling down the stairs,”ah-well-uh”
Ami quickly gained her stance once again “i-“
She glanced at the girl,ami’s face becoming a shade near white at making eye contact with the taller lady.
“It seems like i have been interrupting something...”
“Well then,it seems like you quite were”she glared at her again.
Rui stepped in front of ami,looking fully ready to fight.
“Ah,it seems like there has been a misunderstanding,i truly mean no harm Whatsoever”she lifted her hands,”however,it seems like we have started with a left handshake”
Rui only tensed.
“My apologies,I haven’t even given any of you six my name yet”the girl walked closer,rui not saying a word but only tensing up more.
The girl sighed.
She held up her hand,a sinister smile forming up.
“My name is monaca towa,you can refer to me as the ultimate engineer”
