Work Text:
Hannah was always seen as kind of intimidating. She always kept her grades the highest she could while making sure she took good care of herself both to a rigorous amount, and anyone who did not do the same she would seemingly not care about. Seeing them as potentially lesser.
But Hannah doesn’t really care about what others say about her, not when she is better than them at something.
Like a certain girlfriend she has that others don’t.
Every day after school Hannah would go to a not-so-popular cafe. A choice that would confuse many as Hannah always seemed like the kind of person to chase what’s trendy and popular over all. And while this isn’t necessarily wrong there is a good reason for her to go to the former instead.
Again, that girlfriend of hers.
Not to forget it is always a treat to go to that cafe. The place having an adorable pastel pink aesthetic that always made Hannah let all her worries fade away once she sat in one of the booths. And that was before the food would come, delicious finger sandwiches, nimble cakes, and Hannah’s favorite - absolutely adorable cupcakes.
As a set was placed in front of her Hannah couldn’t help but show a big smile. “Oh Jasminka, you make me an absolute glutton with how you’re spoiling me.” She cooed.
Jasminka simply beamed in her uniform and batter-covered apron. “How else could I get such a cute face out of you?”
Hannah wouldn’t object, happily enjoying her cupcakes. Having to open one eye as she had closed both before to enjoy the treats even more. “Well come on, you should eat too!”
Ah right, Hannah always wanted Jasminka to enjoy her orders together. Like the two were playing a ping-pong game of who could spoil the other better. Not that Jasminka was complaining, it was never busy when Hannah came around to the point Jasminka could run the place herself. Which meant it was no problem at all for her to slide next to Hannah and enjoy the cupcakes she had made.
Hannah couldn’t be more glad she had a girlfriend like Jasminka, and Jasminka thought so likewise. Always knowing everyone had their good side, none more so than Hannah no matter the rumors targeted at her. And here the two didn’t need to worry about anything of the sort, just enjoying each other’s true faces with the snacks to match.
Suddenly however Hannah pulled a strange face much to Jasminka’s notice.
“Is everything ok?”
“Hm, I can’t help but think something lacks in this cupcake.” Hannah stated very matter-of-factly.
“And that would be?” Jasminka asked, somewhat concerned. She always made sure her cupcakes were the best, especially for Hannah.
“It lacks sweetness,” Hannah then cupped Jasminka’s cheeks, the two looking at each other as an “oh?” Left the latter. Then Hannah pressed a kiss on Jasminka’s lips, Jasminka showing surprise before melting into it.
“Now there is that sweetness I needed.” Hannah said as she pulled away from the kiss, an oh-so-mean grin on her face as she winked Jasminka’s way.
Jasminka let out a mock gasp of offense as a blush was still present on her cheeks. “The audacity!”
While Hannah was continuing to consume her cupcakes however Jasminka’s smile returned as a devious plan hatched inside her head. Hannah let out a confused grunt as she felt Jasminka grab and drag her away.
“H-Hey Jas! What are you doing?”
“Well, considering you seem such an expert on the topic I thought it would do us well to bake some cupcakes together!” Jasminka explained, the two soon in the kitchen as a bashful Hannah was given a clean pink apron.
“This isn’t all over a joke right?” Hannah gave an awkward smile. “Besides you know I’m bad at baking.”
“Nope,” Answered Jasminka. “and you must remember that even I used to only bake charcoal.”
“What?” Regardless of her confusion Hannah knew what Jasminka was trying to do. Something she has been trying for weeks yet Hannah had always refused out of fear she would screw up and make a fool of herself in front of her girlfriend…not to forget the mess she’d make of herself. Still, it was Jasminka she was talking about. And she looked so excited now that they were finally in the kitchen together for once…
“Alright fine, but you’ll have to help me.” Hannah admitted.
Jasminka almost jumped into the air. “That’s the plan, and thank you Hannah! For finally trying, I promise it will be fun!”
Hannah didn’t look as positive, feeling overwhelmed as she was surrounded by appliances she hadn’t used much if at all. “Sure, so what first?”
A blush fell on her face as Jasminka went behind her and gently held her arms. “Don’t be so nervous. I’ll guide you!”
That made a small smile appear on Hannah’s face. Because what would she have to fear with such an attentive teacher like Jasminka?

It took a lot…and I mean a lot of time and work. Not forgetting the sore hands and amount of scattered dough around the kitchen now. But Hannah had finally managed to make her first batch of cupcakes, with not so little help from Jasminka.
“So…how are they?” Hannah asked nervously, playing with the dough still in her hands while Jasminka tasted the first cupcake.
“It’s good!” Exclaimed Jasminka. “It’s just as sweet as you.”
“Really?” The compliment made Hannah confident enough to grab one, taking a bite and soon smiling when she realized Jasminka wasn’t fooling her. “Huh, guess I do have some baking skills.”
Jasminka pulled her close into a hug. “All you had to do was try, and you’ll discover things aren’t as scary as they actually are.”
“I guess you’re right.” A chuckle left, her smile widening. “I may have some things I need to introduce you to too.”
“I’d be glad. So long as it’s together we’ll have fun regardless of it either way.”
A joyous laugh left Hannah. “True!” She took another bite out of her cupcake, but not before pressing a kiss on Jasminka’s cheek. Not at all missing the faint blush.
Slowly however Hannah’s smile wavered. “Alright, maybe it’s a bit too sweet.”
“There’s always room for improvement!”
