    The man didn’t respond, just walked around the edge of the sofa until he was stood in front of Remus. Remus tried to take a step back but collided with the countertop.

    ‘Sirius,’ he said holding out a large hand which Remus looked at for a moment and then took.

    ‘I know,’ he said, holding back a wince as Sirius slowly squeezed his hand. ‘Remus.’

    ‘Well it’s very nice to meet you.’

    Remus knows he probably shouldn't. He knows it's a bad idea and he knows he'll likely get his heart broken but something about Sirius Black just gets under his skin.
