You can already imagine how this story goes.
Let’s introduce ourselves to Hunter, a near 17 year old male witch who orignally dreamt of one day finding a secret buried treasure with his uncle, Captain Philip Wittibane, or Belos the Terror. Hunter was once his uncle’s quartermaster(second in command to a pirate captain) along with Kikimora, a witch who secretly hated Hunter.
If you’re confused by Hunter being introduced as someone who used to work for him, don’t be worried, there is context to this.
Before leaving his uncle, Hunter was once a respected and sometimes feared crew member among those who were lower ranked than him. However, that doesn’t mean everything was great for him.
Aside from Belos, there were other superiors to Hunter. They were known as the Captain’s Elites, who were more powerful witches than any other crew member. Only a few head witches(Raine, Everwolf, and Darius) felt sympathy towards the young quartermaster. The rest simply didn’t care for him.
Belos’ crew went from island to island in search of a treasure that could lead them to riches beyond their wildest dreams. The only down sight is that the map they were using was incomplete.
The other half was secretly obtained by a witch named Eda Clawthorne, or “The Owl Lady”. She also has a crew of her own. Here’s the rundown:
Hooty- an owl like tube- shaped creature( I don’t know what the fuck he is exactly) who is part of Eda’s crew and ship(yes, he is literally part of the ship and is one of the crew’s greatest defenses)
King- a creature known as a Titan that is believed to be the last one alive and has lived with Eda ever since she discovered him on an island that was believed to be his original home
Luz Noceda- a human who traveled with her mother while trying to search for a better place that would accept her. She is like a daughter to Eda and is even her sort of specialized student
Gus Porter - One of Luz’s best friends. He joined the crew to help them stop Belos from getting the treasure for himself. Gus is seen as a little brother to Luz,Willow, and even Hunter. He is a very intelligent witch with strong illusion powers. He even beat the head Illusion witch of Belos’ crew.
Willow Park- Luz’s very first best friend. Willow was once a girl who didn’t believe she had the confidence to be a great witch. Through time and with help from her friends, she got the confidence needed to be considered one of the most skilled witches ever. Hunter even had a little crush on her, but ultimately decided to stay close friends. Willow even considers Hunter to be the most relatable witch she knows aside from Gus.
Amity Blight- Luz’s girlfriend who blushes like a tomato every so often. From the beginning, they didn’t have that good of a relationship. This was mostly caused by the way her parents treated her (mostly her cunty mother, Odalia.) to be a strong witch who should be associated with strong witches rather than ‘weak’ ones. Amity was also Willow’s first best friend, but you can probably guess what caused it to fall. Thankfully, through time, they managed to become friends again on good terms. As for Amity’s relationship with Luz, well… you already know.
Edric and Emira Blight- twins who are also Amity’s older siblings. They are both illusionists, but Emira is a part-time healer while Edric practices Beast keeping and potions. At first, they liked to tease Amity a lot, but they eventually became protective of her, despite her getting a bit annoyed by them sometimes. Amity still appreciates them though.
Viney, Jerbo, and Barcus- people Luz befriended on one of the islands the crew visited to liberate them from some of Belos’ minions. They were seen as outcasts who couldn’t mix magic. With help from Luz, they managed to beat Belos’ minions and were now able to mix whatever magic they pleased.
Fun Fact: Viney is Edric’s girlfriend. Jerbo has his own partner back home while Barcus just tags along with the crew for the ride.
Lilith Clawthorne- Eda’s sister who’s one of Belos’ former head witches of his crew. Eda had a curse that was caused by Lilith out of jealousy when they both tried out to be a part of Belos’ crew. Lilith even captured Eda and brought her to Belos to try and cure her curse, but you can tell what happened after that. Lilith has made amends with her sister and has made good friends with Luz and other members of the crew. She’s even Hooty’s best friend.
Steve: one of Belos’ former minions who is laid back and extremely cool. He even acts as a therapist for some of the crew members. Hunter visits him every week about once or twice. Liked by all crew members and helps a lot.
Raine Whispers: Eda’s partner. Before, they actually broke up due to Eda’s curse. Raine couldn’t deal with Eda pushing them away, so they thought it’d be best to end things. They eventually regretted their decision after learning of Eda’s escape from being petrified. They, along with Darius and Eberwolf, rebelled against Belos and joined the Owl Crew.
Darius and Eberwolf- obviously two rebellious head witches who don’t like Belos and want him to lose. Darius had been sympathetic to Hunter and even became sort of a father figure to the young quartermaster. Eberwolf helps teach people who practice beast keeping, like Edric and Viney, some tricks in order to perfect their skills in this type of magic.
Camila Noceda- Luz’s mom who went with her to the isles. She helps almost all the kids out and is even seen as one of the very responsible and badass mother figure of the crew aside from Eda. She joined Luz cause she didn’t want to leave her daughter behind and lose her again. She is an excellent mother to all who need her
And Finally, Hunter- He had a few skirmishes with the crew members, but there were times they helped each other out to fight something greater.
In one incident, Hunter and Luz were transported to Belos’ mind. Where it was revealed that Belos killed his brother Caleb to try and keep the treasure for himself. It was also revealed that Caleb had a wife that was an ancestor of Lilith and Eda, who took half of the map with her and hid it somewhere where Philip could never find it. Hunter also learned that he was a grimwalker of Caleb. The crew helped Hunter and even showed him kindness and care. He has made a few new connections with people on the crew, though for some reason, Emira caught his attention.
Fun fact: One of the crew’s skirmishes with Kikimora, Emira along with Edric,Jerbo, and Viney were taken prisoner. During a rescue mission, Hunter helped untie Emira and help her avoid a few shots from Kiki. In one moment when they stared at each other, they kind of blushed a little bit before resuming with the battle.
There’s the rundown of the whole Owl Crew. Can’t promise a lot of lore stuff to appear here nor can I promise to constantly update this either. If it was possible to make this very consistent, it would mostly be an excuse for me to put a lot of huntmira stuff here. I’ve been on a brain rot for this ship and I don’t plan on stopping soon. Though, I’ll try and see if this could work. If not, I’ll just post a summary of the ending or something.

For those wondering about Vee, I did want to include her here, but idk how. I want to put her somewhere where she made the decision to stay somewhere, but I don’t if it’s on Earth through some possible new lore I could come up with or just on a random island. Either way, blah blah blah she hangs out with Masha.
I’ll try to make as many chapters as I can, but don’t expect me to upload quickly.
