They found a corner to themselves at the Christmas party. For a while, they sat in silence, exchanging shy smiles.
Joe: "So, what was it you couldn't tell me over the phone?"
Nicky: "That I love you."
Joe: "Love you, too. I've never loved anyone so much as I love you."
They both smiled before they kissed each other for the first time.
