Anyway, onto more interesting news!
Carlos and I played dreidel yesterday - it was his first time playing, and I was delighted to explain the rules to him. So, I brought out my freshly harvested dreidel - this year’s crop is really excellent, unlike last year, when the dreidels looked great but had motion sickness, so whenever you spun them they’d vomit everywhere and it was this whole mess - anyway, I got out my dreidel, and I taught Carlos how to play.
He was, of course, excellent at it, being a scientist and all. It is a very scientific game, he said, and we had to pause several times so he could scribble calculations onto his chalkboard.
Carlos was wearing his festive lab coat, the one that has little reindeer and blood splatters and rainbows printed all over it, and he looked perfect.
He won, of course - and no, I did not let him win, why would you even suggest such a thing, he is simply a brilliant scientist and he won with the power of science!
So, we finished playing, and we decided to end the evening with a romantic walk around town, and it was lovely! We went to…
