“Don’t worry guys, I’ll figure it out!” Minori held the phone up to her ear with a smile.
It was December, Christmas Eve was only a day away. The Idol-To-Be’s room was decorated with cheerful Christmas items, from lights to ornaments. Not to mention, Christmas exclusive idol merch. Her shelfs were decorated with care. It was cozy, sweet. Minori herself was cozy, with her fluffy red and white pajama pants, which matched with a white long sleeve. She had tea sitting on her desk, the smell of cinnamon mixed with vanilla from the candle right beside it.
“Are you sure, Minori?” The concern on the other end was clear, “There doesn’t need to be a Christmas stream, everything will be fine. We can just do a bigger New Years one later.” That was Haruka on the other end, although something was off. Her voice was scratchy, the strain was clear.
“I’m sure, Haruka!” Minori grinned in return. “Everything will be fine! I’ll just say that you guys are spending time with your family, not a big deal!” The girl twirled a pen in her hand, “besides, I feel like I owe it to you guys. You all do so much work when it comes to the livestreams! Oh-- that's not to say that I don’t, but I feel like it's time for me to pull some more weight! Get some rest, I have everything handled! It won’t even be too big, just something simple and cute!”
A voice on the other end spoke, it was Airi this time. “Don’t go too overboard! I want a celebratory stream for when we all get back together!”
“You got it! For now, just rest your voices. Minori to the rescue!” Minori brought the phone down, and hung up.

“Ahhhhhh!” She tossed across the room (which thankfully landed on her bed), and stood up from her desk. “What am I going to do?!” She walked to grab her phone, and then flopped down onto the bed itself. She fidgeted with the soft texture of the blankets, and spoke her thoughts aloud. “There’s no way I can get something set up so fast by myself!”
She sighed, and set her phone down on her chest. She took a deep breath, and started up at the ceiling. She had recently painted a three-leaf clover up on there, to remind her of what's important. “With all three of them sick, I’m the only one that can do anything.. But I’m only one person! I can’t just do a Christmas stream alone! The whole holiday is about spending time with other people!” Minori’s eyes wandered, to each idol figure and cd and shirt she had. Each displayed with care. “A Christmas stream by myself would just feel so lonely..”
Minori picked up her phone again, and started going through the contact list that she had. As she looked, she mumbled comments to herself. ‘No..’, ‘Too busy..’, ‘Don’t know them well enough.’ She kept going and going, until she reached Mizuki Akiyama. They’ve only met a couple times, but Mizuki was a huge fan of idol stuff, and more specifically MORE MORE JUMP! This could not be any more perfect! That is… if they are able to do it. “Come onn.. Please pick up!”

“Good Evening!~ You’ve reached Mizuki, hi Minori!”
“Mizuki! Oh my goodness I’m so glad you picked up-- I’ve just dug a huge hole for myself and--”
“Woah Woah!” Mizuki laughed on the other end. They seemed cheerful. “Calm down, calm down. What’s the matter, hmm?”
Minori laughed herself, “Sorry, sorry! I’ve just gotten myself into a mess. You see, MORE MORE JUMP! was going to do a Christmas event! However…” She paused. “Everyone got really sick, and now it’s up to me to do a stream by myself! Well-” Minori stopped herself to clarify, “I didn’t have to, but it just feels wrong not to do something for Christmas! You know what I mean? I even said I would come to their rescue! So now I have to figure something out in time! Because obviously we can’t do our original plan anymore.” She took a deep breath. “So Mizuki, that’s why I called! I really want to do something for Christmas, but it’s impossible to do it on my own. Do you want to do a Christmas stream with me?”
There was silence on the other end of the phone, but only for a second. A squeal replaced that silence real fast. “Of course I will be willing to! I mean,” Mizuki cleared her throat, and brought her volume down to a normal level. “Yes, absolutely. I already have an idea in mind!~ How about a little Christmas fashion show! I could come over tomorrow, and we could show off all sorts of outfits that you’ve worn on streams and on stage! Meanwhile, I’d be making a holiday themed outfit we could reveal at the end of the event!”
Minori gasped in excitement, “You’d do that, really?! Oh Mizuki, thank you so much!”
Mizuki hummed in victory, “Looks like I came to your rescue!” Minori could hear the grin in the others' voices. Seems like she made the right decision. “However, I’d like to request that in return, I’d get to ask my group if you could guest vocal on a song.”
“Oh?” Minori pondered that, “I mean, I’d be willing to! It’s just that our styles are so different!”
“Exactly!” The other replied in return, “Don’t you think your fans would love to hear you sing something so different? Besides, we both have communities interested in music! It’d be so cool! More exposure for the both of us, eh?”
“I guess so! Oh, that would be so interesting! I hope they’re okay with it!”
“Me too Minori! Now, what say we get started on planning A Minori Christmas, Hmm? Haha!”
“Gah! Mizuki, we don't have to name it that, wait!”

“Ohhh!!!” It was Christmas Eve, and all through the house, people were stirring, and running about. This included two school-aged girls, ready to set up for the stream. It was Mizuki who spoke, as the two entered Minori’s room. “Minori your room is so cute! It’s exactly how I imagined it to be!”
Red rushed to Minori’s cheeks at the compliment, “oh, thank you! I tried clearing up as much space as we could! I stopped by Shizuku’s place to grab our backdrop!” Minori walked to the other side of the room, and unfolded a painted sheet. It had MORE MORE JUMP! written on the top, with things relating to the girls painted on a green and white background. “I was thinking of taping some Christmas decorations on it!”
Mizuki nodded, “this is gonna be so great! What I’m more interested in is your closet,” she started walking over, but then turned around to face the other. “I can open it, right?”
“Yeah!” Minori finished unfolding the sheet, and walked over to the closet with Mizuki. “We’re going to have to steam the backdrop before we put it up, it has creases from the folding.”
“That’s no problem!” Mizuki set down her bags of supplies, “now, open sesame!” She opened the closet, and gasped. “Oh, there’s some iconic pieces in here! This is going to be such a great time! Oooo~”
“Hehe,” Minori giggled nervously, “yeah, I guess so!” She pulled out her phone, and opened up one of the official MORE MORE JUMP! Social media accounts. “I’m going to set up the stream, and tweet out the link so that people will know that we’re going live!”
As Mizuki went through Minori’s closet, the idol moved across the room to start setting up. “I’ll just record a little video to attach to the post.” She fixed her hair, and then recorded. “Hello, it’s me, Minori from MORE MORE JUMP! I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, or whatever holiday you cherish! There will be no MORE MORE JUMP! Full member stream for the holiday, seeing as everyone else chose to spend time with their family this year. Worry not, Minori to the rescue! In an hour, I am going live with Amia from Nightcord at 25:00! We are doing a little fashion show, and I hope you come along!” She smiled. “The link will be up very soon!”
Before Minori could end the video, Mizuki threw something at her from across the room. It was a cat plush, which hid in the closet. It had a little Santa hat on it. “Hello everyone! Get ready for a fantastic stream!”
Minori couldn’t help but laugh, and showed the cat plush to the video. “Merry Christmas, see you soon!”
Minori stopped recording, made sure there was nothing in the background, and added a little caption to the video, which included both Minori and Mizuki’s handles. Once posted, the comments were flooded in seconds. Fans from both communities freaking out about this collaboration. Many comments were filled with surprise at a public appearance from Amia, seeing as the Nightcord members were very cautious about their identities.
Mizuki walked over to look at Minori’s phone, and laughed as the comments were filled. “Well, that sure got their attention! Guess we just have to make this a Christmas to remember! Now, stand up and let me get your measurements. I want to make sure I have this right.”
Once the measurements were obtained, Mizuki got right to work finishing up her sketch and pattern. “Hmm.. I think you’re going to like this!” As Minori tried to look, Mizuki turned the sketch around. “No peeking! This has to be a reveal! I want to see your genuine reaction to how this is gonna look! You’re gonna be so cute!” Mizuki let that last comment slip, and a blush came up on her face out of surprise. She didn’t back down from it, however.
Minori’s face was red as well, and she looked away. “Mizuki! Stop it!” She felt like her heart was going to explode, she wasn’t used to this many compliments. “I still gotta set up the stream!”
The duo decorated the room with the things they had gathered earlier in the day, and whatever they could pull out of boxes in Minori’s house. They put in a lot of work to make this look extra festive. Once everything was good to go, Minori hit the go live button.
Minori was in the center frame, with Mizuki in the background. She had a Christmas themed mask on, and a Santa hat to match. Minori did a cute pose, and exclaimed. “Welcome everyone, to A Minori and Amia Christmas! We hope you have the greatest time!”
Mizuki came up from behind Minori, and wrapped an arm around her. Minori almost jumped at the suddenness of it all, but kept her composure as Mizuki spoke. “I’m so thankful for everyone joining! Now, let’s make Minori as cute as possible, okay? Let’s go!” She giggled as Minori started moving her out of frame. “We got to make this as amazing as possible!”
Minori laughed, looked at the camera, and then looked back at Mizuki. “Time to choose the first outfit! Now.. help me out guys, what would scream Christmas Cheer?”
Music played in the background as the stream went on and on, way longer than initially planned. The two were just having a fun time, doing what they enjoy most. Hanging out with a friend, or maybe something more. One thing is for sure, the two had a great time, and a better holiday than if they spent it alone.
