Work Text:

"Have you packed all of your stuffs, Yugo?", a voice called out to a certain blue haired by the door. The tall male in his 30s leaned against the wall covered with band posters and edgy decorations which compliments the personality of their youngest child. A young soul in love with music and passionate enough to create one to present on the big stage one day. Fulgur was right in letting his son pursue his dream even though it hurt him to see Yugo leave.

"Yeah, dad. Just a bit more. I just need to pack my headphones and I'm ready to go", Yugo chirped, excited to see what the new world has to offer him once he leaves. He heard a small shuffle from behind with the sounds of boxes moving, he didn't turn around but he knew his dad was helping stacking it up so it would be easier for them to move around.

The young boy then started to put in the jacket he got as a gift from his beloved mother, Uki for Christmas, into the box. His blue eyes stared at the piece of garment for a some time as he felt a wave of sadness in his heart. He then turned towards Fulgur who was pushing some of the boxes aside.

"Dad.... Mom hasn't come out of his room today...", his voice low, sadness wavering in his tone. "Is mom okay?"

Fulgur would be lying if he said he was. He knew his wife too well, Uki has not spoken much to him the night before. Even stopped bickering with him that they let Yugo go so easily, agreeing to his plans without a second thought. It was obvious that Uki had a hard time getting separated from his children whom he loved so much. It was like when Sonny was away for three weeks on a school trip with his friends. The violet haired man had been crying for days when Sonny left. Now he doesn't know how long will it take for his wife to accept that Yugo will be away much longer than weeks.

"...", a small pause. "Let's go and carry your boxes downstairs first then we'll worry about that later, okay?", Fulgur suggested. He then carried two boxes at the same time and went down leaving Yugo staring back to the Christmas sweater that his mother had sewn just for him. There were three matching pairs for the siblings to wear. Now that it won't be a trio anymore, Yugo could not help but cry a little at the small letters stitched onto the chest area that said 'My Baby Yugo'.

"Hey, don't cry, Yugo. What's the use of deciding all of this only to back out at the end? I'm already thinking of putting my boots and shirts in your room so don't ruin that for me", Sonny appeared with a small smile. His words may be harsh but Yugo did not take any of it to the heart. It was just their normal siblings quarrel they would always have anytime and anywhere.

"Oh shut it, you'll get all the space you need once I'm out", Yugo rolled his eyes playfully before putting the sweater into the box.

"You're really leaving, huh?", Alban popped in. His fangs showing out whenever he pouted sadly. His head then ruffled by Sonny as if to console him. He knows Alban was a crybaby just like Yugo. And judging from his red puffy eyes, he must have cried a moment ago.

"Yeah, Alban, I'm leaving. I want to pursue my dream, I'll achieve it no matter what, So I hope you guys would support me in this", the smaller male stood up.

Sonny and Alban quickly defended themselves, "What do you mean? We are supporting you, Yugo! It's just that we would be... lonely not having you around anymore".

"Yeah, what Alban says"

Yugo smiled towards his two older brothers before they went into a group hug. One that took quite while to break apart if it wasn't for Sonny's death hold that squishes his younger brothers tightly. It was noticeable that Alban was already crying and it made Yugo try so hard to sniffle in his. Sonny just smiled at them warmly before they felt a pair of arms surrounding them. Fulgur had already went back up to carry more boxes when he had witnessed the wholesome group hug before deciding to join in.

The hug lasted loer but not until Yugo started to speak first, "...Dad, your armpit smells"

Alban was already dying since he was the nearest to Fulgur meanwhile Sonny was already chanting mantras to help calm down his nose from dying. Fulgur did not budge, he kept the hug more tighter accompanied with his kettle laugh. It was then the siblings started to struggle around begging to be released from this hell hug, It took Sonny's strength to finally have Fulgur release them all, everyone was laughing and it took them back to the moment where all of them had all the time in the world to spend with each other.

The giggles and laughter was loud enough to have Uki hear from within the master bedroom. He was fidgeting something in his hands as he glanced a little at the door. The only thing that separates him from the rest of the family. He then continued to look down to continue whatever he was doing silently.

"When are you leaving?", Sonny asked while carrying some boxes.

"Soon, the truck arrives at 2PM", Yugo answered as he carried his guitar.

"There's an hour left, we should settle your boxes soon", Fulgur suggested as all of them hurried up to clear out Yugo's room.

It didn't took too long for it to finish with the help of his siblings. Yugo finally let down the last box outside the house and went he got back in, he heard the bedroom upstairs opening and closing. He lightly gripped onto the headphone around his neck and took a deep breath. He saw his mother went back in when the violet haired man realized Yugo came back. It was pretty hard for Uki to accept the truth. Not when the time has come and his youngest son is about to go away for a long time.

Each step felt heavy when Yugo walked towards the main bedroom. He stood there for a while, staring at the doorknob for a long time as if contemplating to either go in or just leave. He could not do the second option as it would break his poor mother's heart. He then felt a nudge from behind that startled him, it was his dad encouraging the boy to go in.

"Go on, your mother will still love you no matter what. It may take some time but you both can talk it out", Fulgur smiled and ruffled Yugo's hair lovingly.

With a small puff, Yugo turned the doorknob and opened the door. There sat a man in his late 20s on the bed, holding onto a dark blue jacket in his hands. Uki didn't turn around to look who came in, knowing it was Yugo. His finger ever so softly caressed the material in his hand again and again. He felt the bed tilted slightly on his left side and Uki kept on looking at the clothing, still no words exchanged. It took them both a while for the other to do something. Yugo decided a hug was the correct thing to do at the moment. He took in his mother into his embrace and let it be for a while. Not until the room started to fill with small sniffles coming from the violet haired man.

"Mom...", Yugo felt his own voice tremble from hearing his own mother crying.

"You'll come back, right?", Uki sobbed. He took Yugo's hands and held it into his own. The touch was gentle like how a mother would hold their precious children.

"Of course, mom! Once I'm on the big stage and perform the best than who I am now, I'll definitely come back!", Yugo smiled, trying to convince the other.

"...You have always been the best in my eyes, darling", Uki's hands then caressed his child's cheeks, lovingly and full of warmth. HIs tears softly trickling down his face.

"Oh my baby has grown up so much", Uki continued staring at every corner of Yugo's face, examining it as if he would not be able to look at it anymore once his son is away.

"I remember you were just a baby yesterday, and now you're all grown up and ready to leave the nest", Uki smiled. He then look down on his lap, picking up the clothing that he had made with his own hands and gave it to Yugo.

"In case you get cold and mama isn't there to warm you up", Uki gave his son a dark blue jacket. Thick enough for the winter and it was perfectly made to fit according to his son's fashion sense.

"Mom... This is beautiful. I'll wear this everytime I miss home", Yugo held the jacket up and he saw the small sewed-on letters at the hem.

"-Alban- -Sonny- -Dad- -Mom-", and every word was in different sizes and font. It just shows that each of them had did their part in making this jacket just so Yugo could feel that his family will always be with him no matter where.

Yugo and Uki shared a glance before they embrace into another hug. His mother pampered him with so much kisses that Yugo couldn't help to giggle from some of it.

"Yugo! The truck is here, it's time to go!", Alban rang from downstairs.

Both of them broke off their mother and son moment and stood up, Yugo held his mother tightly as they walked downstairs as if they were inseparable. Fulgur was glad the two had finally made up with each other. As the workers had put in the pile boxes into the back of the truck. When the last box was put in, Uki held it for some time watching all of his son's belongings will soon drive away far from home. Fulgur held his wife by the shoulder, comforting him as the worker finally closed it.

The sound of a car starting took their attention, the family was wealthy enough to buy each of their children cars and Yugo had chosen a nice dark blue Honda Civic. He parked the car by the side of the road and went out to see his family one last time. Uki and Fulgur went to their son first as they hugged tightly, Sonny and Alban followed suit.

"Whatever happens, you're always welcomed back", Sonny spoke.

"Don't forget to bring back souvenirs from your journey! and goodluck!", Alban chirped in.

"Go rock that stage and make us proud, son", Fulgur smiled and patted the boy's head.

"You will always be a part of the family no matter how far you go, darling", Uki tried to fight back the tears that swell once again in his eyes.

Yugo finally broke down. His tears flowed down like waterfall just from hearing their encouraging words. The family huddled up once again into an embrace. Everyone cried their hearts out.

After a while, Yugo finally let go of them, "I think it's time for me to go. Thank you for supporting my dreams, guys! I love all of you!", he exclaimed happily. He then got into his car and held the wheels.

Turning his head one last time to the family he was raised in, the boy waved at them with the biggest smile he got telling them that he is finally going now with no regrets and full with determination. Yugo took a deep breath before stepping onto the gas slowly moving forward to a future he had always dreamt of. Blue eyes looked into the mirror as his family slowly fades into the distance.

"See me proudly on stage one day, mom, dad, Sonny, Alban! I promise!", Yugo said to himself confidently.

"Honey! Did you bring Yugo's concert ticket?!", Uki was grabbing his purse and was on his way to the family car with Sonny and Alban waiting inside.

"Yeah, it's with me. There's 2 hours left till his show. What's with the rush--"

One glare from Uki.

"Okay, honey. Let's go", Fulgur got into the driver's seat quickly.

"HELLO MINNA!! HOW YOU DOIN'?", the sound of Yugo's voice blared the whole stadium with the sounds of people cheering and screaming for him. Yugo smiled widely when he saw his family sitting in the VVIP area of his own big show of the year.
