Partners In Crime

Summary:

Felix and Luka chat about the morals of stealing.

Work Text:

Felix leaned on Luka’s shoulder with a smile after sitting down on the sofa. “That went well.”

“You’re joking.” Luka scoffed, slightly leaning on Fe’s head.

“No seriously, that went really well.” Felix chuckled, dangling the necklace in front of them.

“You know st-”

“Stealing is illegal. Yep.” Felix nodded. “You say it every time.”

“Felix Graham de Vanily, you’ll never stop, will you?” Luka sighed with a small smile.

“Well, I’m doing it for a good cause.” Felix said, moving to look him in the eye, faux-pouting and crossing his arms.

Luka raised an eyebrow. “What good cause?”

“I’m feeding my ego.” Felix remarked. “It’s dangerous if I let it go unfed.” He said with a smirk.

Luka shot him a look. “What the heck, Fe.”

“It’s a public service, Couffaine. Besides, you wouldn’t be helping me if you thought it was really against the law.” Felix said, tucking his feet under him on the sofa.

“Okay wait, it really is against the law, don’t be like that.” Luka sighed. “I’m helping you because I don’t want to bail you out of jail. Again.”

“It was one time, Luka.” Felix groaned.

“And it was $2500. I’m not doing that again because next time will be higher.” Luka rubbed his temples.

“Relax, Lukie!” Felix grinned, tweaking the boy’s nose. “$2500 is nothing compared to the $5000 diamond that we own. It’s in our front room, Luka.”

“Okay, wait, it’s not nothing, that’s already half of the value.” Luka groaned. “And we don’t own it, you stole it.”

“Stole, own, it’s in my possession, it is mine. Just like you.” Fe grinned again, adjusting his sleeve and pulling out two diamond earrings. “Got these too.”

“Are… are those my mom’s?” Luka asked. Felix sucked in a breath. As much as he loved Luka, he was terrified of his future mother-in-law.

“I’m not giving them back to her.” Felix said, hands up and shaking his head.”Your mother is a pirate. She probably stole it herself.”

“She just talks like one. There’s a difference, con grazia .” Luka groaned.

“She calls herself a pirate and has a parrot.” Felix argued.

“She doesn’t go around stealing everything that catches her eye.” Luka sighed again in exasperation. “Honestly, Felix, you’re going to get arrested. Again.”

“No, because now I have you.”

Luka groaned once more. “Just because I’ll bailed you out once doesn’t mean I can keep bailing you out.”

“Sure, but when I stole your heart, I also got someone to tell me how to get out of sticky stuff. A guy in the chair.”

Luka shook his head with another sigh. “Ma was right, I could’ve done so much better. Why can’t you just quit it, it’s not like you need the money?”

“It’s an addiction, darling.” Felix sighed.

“Oh, that’s great. Yeah, my boyfriend couldn’t make it. No no, he’s fine, he’s just addicted to stealing and on withdrawal.” He mocked like he was on the phone.

“Nope, you’re not putting me on withdrawal, no one can stop me.” Felix grinned. “I might plant evidence on Uncle Gabriel. Free up some time for Adrien.”

“You will not, Adrien cares about him and knowing his luck, he’ll be the one arrested.” Luka protested.

“No, not if I put the stuff on the uncle. Not just around the house.” Felix thought it wasn’t actually a bad idea. He could keep others from getting hurt because of Hawkmoth’s reign, he could give Adrien some free will, and he could do it just by doing what he did best. Stealing, conning, and deceiving.

“The answer is no.” Luka sighed yet again.

This time, Felix groaned. “You bore.”

“Because I’m not rich or cruel?” Luka raised an eyebrow.

“Yeah, exactly.” Felix pouted.

“You know what, just drop it. I’m gonna go make dinner, you give those earrings back to my mom.” Luka got up and started off towards the kitchen. Felix watched him for a bit, his soft blue-tipped hair waving a bit as he walked. His partner in crime was so stunning, so exquisite, so irreplaceable.

There was no use in waiting any longer, and honestly, Felix couldn’t stand it anymore. He shoved his hand in his pocket and hastily pulled out a small object. Smiling to himself, he got up and followed Luka to the kitchen.

“Oh, and Luka… can I steal one more thing? Last one?” Felix asked, wrapping his arms around Luka and gently kissing his forehead.

“Probably not, but what?” Luka rolled his eyes with a smile. Felix dropped onto one knee and pulled out the wedding band he stole from his uncle, the one containing his amok. Luka gasped, knowing exactly what that was.

“Your last name?” Felix grinned.
