After freeing his mother, Hephaestus went to the bathroom to cool down. Most of the other Olympians stayed by Hera to make sure she was okay, but Dionysus slipped away from them to check on the blacksmith god.
Upon entering the bathroom, he saw Hephaestus hunched over the sink, staring at himself in the mirror. "Are you feeling nauseous?" the wine god asked.
"No" Hephaestus replied, visibly confused by the question.
"Some people feel nauseous after they've drunk a lot of wine like you have"
"I'm not nauseous" Hephaestus repeated. "I just... Needed a moment, away from the others" he explained, getting a nod in response. "I spent so long plotting my revenge against her, and for what? It didn't make me feel any better, it's undone, and you all probably hate me now"
"I don't hate you" Dionysus stated simply. "Honestly, I more admire you than anything"
"You're joking"
"Nope"
"Dionysus, you created a drink that's made me feel less burdened than I've felt in my entire life" Hephaestus praised. "I'm just an ugly cripple with mommy issues"
"You are the most amazing inventor I've ever seen" Dionysus countered. "And I, for one, think you are very far from ugly"
"You really mean that?"
"I'm nothing if not honest"
