Chapter Text

It was a beautiful evening in NY and some people were in a famous restaurant, all happy.

The place was reserved for those people.

"Happy birthday, Rowan!"

"Thank you my friend!" Smiled the man.

He sat and the waiters started to serve them, around 60 people, less or more, but the man seemed sad.

"Hey, Heath! We have to talk about business tomorrow... Don't exaggerrate!"

"Don't worry about me, Press!" Grinned the man.

"Christen, dear, we'll choose the Alpha you're going to marry."

"What?? No, mother, no! I'll choose my Alpha by myself."

"Don't protest, dear!" Said the woman "Look if there is someone interesting."

Christen looked at her plate and started to eat and her mother rotated her eyes, sighing.

But then someone entered the restaurant "Here she is..." Mumbled a woman, continuing to eat.

Annette, Rowan's wife, took the man's right shoulder and he looked up, smiling and standing up.

"Tobias!" Said the man, reaching for the young Alpha, ready to give her a hug.

"It's Tobin. Not Tobias!"

The Alpha can feel all the eyes on her "Yeah, right, sorry... I'm just happy to have you here! This was the best present, for me... You found time for your old father's birthday."

Tobin smiled a bit "You're only 57, father. You're not old."

"Yeah yeah, maybe..." Smiled the man "Do you want to have dinner with us?"

"No thanks, I have to go back to work." Answered the 18 years old Alpha "There isnt a seat for me, I wasn't counted. And then I'm sure I'm not welcome here."

"As you want... Thanks for coming."

"Happy birthday father." Replied the Alpha, leaving.

Christen, the youngest of the 3 daughters of Gerald and Lorainne Press, wasn't able to look elsewhere but Tobin's.

"Who's she?"

Kelley O'Hara, her secretary and best friend, looked at the young Omega.

"Who?"

"The girl who was talking with Rowan Heath."

"Oh, she's Tobin, his youngest daughter. She's 18 years old like you... And if you want my opinion, she's a great Alpha!"

"Christen, dear!" Said her mother.

"Yes mother?"

"You'll marry Tobin! We've decided."

"You said I had to find someone interesting..."

"You're taking a lot of time, so I did it for you!"

"Congrats for being paired to the half Alpha!" Said Travis, Tobin's older brother, laughing hard.

"Poor you!" Agreed Jenny, Tobin's sister "You'll marry a total failure!"

Christen ignored them.

Even if her father's company was in an alliance with the Heaths' one, she never liked Travis and Jenny.

But she was more interested in finding out more about Tobin.

The Alpha seemed to be a very interesting girl.

The next morning, Tobin went to work at the FBI headquarter and she met her partner, Alexia Putellas.

"Morning, Tobin!"

"Morning!" Smiled the Alpha.

"So... Did you go to your father's birthday party?"

"Yeah and it was like everyone wanted to kill me."

"I'm sorry..."

"Don't be. If hating me makes them happy, so they can do this... I don't care."

Then they arrived at their floor and they met their boss, SAC Isobel Castille, who smiled at them.

"Morning!"

"Morning."

They entered the JOC and the ASAC Jubal Valentine explained them the case.

A double murder, a couple found dead in their house.

"Scola and Tiffany are there with Maggie and Omar. You'll question their neighbors when they'll arrive."

The girls nodded, then Isobel took a step forward "The exams for becoming Special Agents will be the next month. So I hope you'll study and get the promotion."

The girls, Tobin, Alexia, Alessia Russo, Lina Hurtig, Megan Rapinoe and Mapi Leon, all Alphas, nodded, but the last 2 were also a bit worried.

They never liked so much the idea of study.

The 2 pairs of Special Agents returned from the crime scene and Isobel called Maggie in her office.

"There is something I can do for you?"

Isobel noticed Maggie's tender smirk, so she looked around and got closer to her secret lover to give her a kiss.

"You already did." Winked the Omega and Maggie smiled, caressing her boss' cheeks.

But they both had to return to work and Isobel went to keep an eye on the Agents, to see how they're going with the questioning.

OA Zidan was inside with Alexia and Tobin, Stuart Scola was with Megan and Lina, while his wife Tiffany Wallace was with Alessia and Mapi.

But unfortunately they haven't discovered something interesting.

Around midday, Tobin received a visit from her father.

"Hi, Tobias!"

The Alpha let out a breath "It's Tobin! But by the way, why are you here?"

"Yesterday, during my birthday party, it was decided that you'll marry Christen Press."

Tobin was shocked, without words "What?? Are you joking? I don't want, I'll never get married."

"Why?"

"It's... It's no. That's all."

"Ok, but meet Christen, at least... She's not that bad. She's a nice girl."

Tobin closed her eyes "When?"

"When you want... She's always at home after 6 o'clock." Said Rowan, giving Tobin a card with an address.

"Ok... Bye father."

"Bye Tobias."

"It's Tobin!"

Chapter Text

After work, around 7, Tobin asked her coworkers to wait for her for dinner.

She wanted to go and meet Christen Press, so she stopped to a flowers shop, where she bought a bouquet of red roses.

Christen lived 10 minutes away from the flowers shop, so she left her car there and walked toward the girl's house.

But she saw a girl, who supposed she was Christen, outside the house, with a boy.

Tobin looked for a moment, then she let the bouquet to drop on the ground and left, but she didn't see a girl taking it.

"Christen."

The Omega turned her attention to Kelley "Yeah?"

"I've found this bouquet. There is your name, on the card."

"They're from me." Said the boy.

Christen didn't paid him attention and she took the card, reading it and her eyes became wide open in surprise.

"Are you ok?" Asked Kelley.

"Who sent them?" Tried the boy.

Christen shot him a glance "Can you go, please? I've already said I'm not interested. I don't like men, so go and stop stress me!"

The boy, John, left, knowing Christen has one word only and she won't say things twice.

"A secret admirer?" Asked Kelley.

"No... They're from Tobin Heath."

"Really?? Great!" Smiled the girl "You were so intrigued by her yesterday... Are you happy?"

"I am!" Replied Christen "But... Why she didn't come to give me this bouquet in person?"

"Maybe I'm wrong, but if she saw John..."

"Damn him." Mumbled the Omega "I'll think about something and then I'll let her know, one way or another."

Kelley nodded "Ok, as you want."

Meanwhile, Tobin arrived at the pub where she always had dinner with her coworkers and she sat at their tables.

"I've ordered for you." Said Kosovare Asllani, Kosse for everyone, Lina's mate and wife, giving Tobin a hug.

The Alpha gave her a hug back "Thank you."

"Tobin, you father's outside." Said Jubal.

Tobin cursed internally "I can't have dinner in peace..."

She went outside and she saw her father "Hi Tobias."

"It's Tobin!" Replied the girl "Why are you here? I haven't seen you so much like in this last 2 days."

The man smiled a bit "Yeah... So?"

"So what?"

"Have you seen Christen?"

"I did." Replied the Alpha "At least, I did it from distance."

"Why?"

"I saw her with a boy. She's taken. So I stayed away respectfully."

"Strange... Her father told me she's single."

"Parents didn't know a lot of things about their sons or daughters."

Rowan looked at his daughter sadly, like if he knew something he didn't want to tell her.

"You're right." Said the man "Don't give up on Christen. Have a great evening."

"You too father."

And they took separate ways.

Chapter Text

The next day, our Agents had a complicated case and everyone felt a lot of emotions while investigating.

The Agents were going out to question the victims' families, when Tobin saw someone unexpected.

"Hi. Hope I'm not disturbing..."

Christen was there and everyone's eyes were for her.

"I was going out for the case we're investigating..."

"Oh, ok..." Answered the Omega "Can we speak for a second, please?"

Tobin looked at Maggie, who nodded, so she motioned to Christen to follow her in the break room.

"Here we are." Said Tobin, pointing to the sofa, so they both sat.

"I wanted to thank you for the roses. They're simply beautiful!" Smiled the Omega "And I really would love to invite you at my loft for dinner..."

"You're kind, but I can't." Said Tobin "You..."

"The boy with me wasn't my boyfriend. I don't like men and I've told him immediately."

"Ok... But I can't. I don't want to start a relationship now... I... It's personal... I just can't..."

"Hey, it's ok." Smiled Christen, a bit sad, trying to hide the delusion for the refuse "I'll be here waiting. When you'll be ready..."

Tobin offered a tiny smile "I'll keep it in mind. Thank you for coming..."

"Thanks to you." Smiled a bit Christen, offering her hand to the Alpha "Hope you'll solve the case."

"Thank you." Replied Tobin, shaking the offering hand and kissing the Omega's knuckles.

Christen blushed a bit and she gave her business card to Tobin, who did the same, then they both left, taking separate ways.

"So... You know Christen Press..." Said Scola, I'm three parking lot.

"I don't know her. We just talked... Why are you asking?"

"You know... She owns a lingerie company and Tiffany's birthday will be the next week..."

"And you want to give her a special present."

"Exactly!"

"This is a pervert thing, but... I'll try to ask her."

"Thanks! I'll be grateful forever."

Tobin just nodded, then she entered the SUV with Maggie, OA and Alexia.

"So, Christen Press..." Tried OA.

"She's interested, but I'm not ready..."

"I saw you rejecting a lot of girls... Can I ask you why?" Asked OA.

"It's... It's personal. It's not easy for me..."

"Ok, sorry."

"When you'll be ready, feel free to talk with us... If you want, obviously. We'll always be here." Said Maggie.

Tobin offered a tiny smile "I'll keep in mind."

The 2 Special Agents nodded and Alexia did the same.

But no one of them knew how much pain Tobin was keeping in her heart.

After 2 days, the Agents were able to solve the case and Tobin texted Christen, requesting the things Scola wanted to give to Tiffany on her birthday, in 3 days.

And the Omega sent the package to the Bureau, under Scola's name, but she didn't want to be paid.

"Good job, everyone! You can go home." Smiled Isobel and her Agents were ready to go.

"What about an hamburger?" Tried Jubal and the others agreed.

"Will you come with us?"

Isobel looked at Maggie and smiled "Sure... Let me grab my coat!"

Maggie nodded, offering to stay there to wait for their boss, so the others left.

And when Isobel returned in the JOC, she saw Maggie and smiled again.

"You're beautiful as always, Isy..."

"You are as well!" Replied the boss, approaching her best Special Agent, giving her a kiss on the lips, then they left too.

The secret couple joined the others to their usual pub, where OA had ordered for them as well.

"So? What are you planning to do for your birthday?" Asked Jubal, looking at Tiffany.

"I don't know... Maybe we can have a dinner here, all together, like now."

The idea was approved, then 2 waiters arrived with their orders, so the group started to eat, chatting lightly and having fun.

Around 9, Tobin stood up and left 15 Dollars on the table.

"Are you already going?" Asked Ian.

"I am..." Smiled a bit the Alpha "See you tomorrow at work."

The others greeted Tobin, who left the pub, starting to walk on the road, sometimes looking at the people around her, smiling with sadness to a young couple who was kissing in front of one of the shops.

She missed this. She missed what she'd lost and can't have back.

But then her attention was for a scream and some noises, so she started to run toward a street, a dangerous one.

Three lights were broken, so small criminals tried to take advantage of people.

She saw 5 or 6 men with knifes in their hands, threating 3 girls, all Omegas and Tobin recognized Christen.

"Give us the money and the jewels! Move!" Shouted one of them.

"FBI! Don't move, you're under arrest." Said Tobin.

The thugs immediately turned to face the Alpha, ready to fight.

"You're alone, we're in 6... You don't have a chance against us!"

Tobin didn't answer, she just fought them with her strenght, then someone arrived to help her.

"In 2 it's better, don't you think?"

Tobin smiled a bit at Maggie's statement, then they fought together and won, arresting them, while the Police arrived.

"Come with us. The all of you!" Said one of the policemen.

"They're the victims and they work for me at the Bureau." Replied Isobel "Take them to jail!"

"Yes ma'am and... We didn't know you are in the Bureau. Sorry." Replied the other policemen, then they left with the bad guys.

"You saved us..." Smiled a bit Christen "What can I do to say thank you?"

"You did it already... You said thank you." Answered Tobin "I just did my job."

"Ok..." Said Christen, smiling a bit "Thanks to you too."

"My pleasure, Miss Press."

"Christen it's ok. No need to be formal."

Maggie nodded, then Tobin thanked Maggie for the help and greeted everyone, leaving.

Christen looked at her, feeling a lot of emotions, especially sadness, cause she really liked Tobin, but it was like the Alpha doesn't reciprocate the feelings.

The next day, our Agents were called for a jewelry store robbery.

"How's the situation?" Asked Maggie, when they arrived in front of the place.

"I'm Schaffer, the SWAT's leader." Replied the man "There are 7 people in the bank and 4 employees, plus the Director! And 5 robbers."

"So 12 people in total." Said OA.

Schaffer nodded, then Alexia approached Maggie "Hey, Tobin is in the bank!"

"What??"

"One of you is inside?" Asked Schaffer.

"Yeah." Replied Maggie, showing him Tobin's photo "She's Agent Heath."

"I'm going to show this photo to my Agents. Can you send me?"

Maggie did it and the man left, then she motioned to OA to get closer "Tell Isobel Tobin is inside."

"Sure." Nodded the other Alpha, taking his phone and walking a bit away.

Meanwhile, in the bank, Tobin was sat with the other hostages, next to her father, her mother, brother and sister.

"Hey, you were a soldier and you're in the Bureau." Whispered Travis "Do something!"

"It's not that simple."

"You're useless..." Said Jenny.

Tobin let out a deep breath, but Travis stood up and one of the robbers walked toward him, gun in his hands "What are you doing?? Sit down!"

"Can we make a deal?"

"A deal?"

"I'll tell you something interesting if you'll guarantee the safety of me, my father, mother and sister."

"Go on."

"She's an FBI Agent!" Said Travis, pointing to Tobin.

"Travis!"

The man called another robber, who got closer "What do you want?"

"She's an FBI Agent."

Tobin was looking at him with no emotions displayed on her face.

"Who told you?"

"He."

The man shot a punch in Travis' stomach "I don't like the spies." Said the thug "You... Took this one in the Director's office and close the door!"

"Ok!"

Outside, our Agents and the SWAT's ones were ready to enter the bank, cause the robbers didn't want to talk with them.

One of the SWAT Agents launched a smoke bomb in the bank and 2 robbers run out, coughing.

The hostages were free, 4 robbers under arrest and Tobin was found by Scola.

"Tobias!"

"I'm ok." Replied the Alpha to her father, who approached her "Don't worry..."

"What do you have to say???"

Travis was looking angrily at Tobin, like Jenny was doing.

"Don't worry. He's an idiot, but there isn't a cure for stupidity."

"What???"

"You said I'm an FBI Agent to an undercover policeman! You risked his life!" Replied Tobin, with decision "You have to learn how to keep your mouth close!"

"You..." Hissed Travis.

"He has a wife and 2 little children! If something would've happened to him because of you..."

"Stop it." Said Annette, Tobin's mother "Go away now."

Chapter Text

Tobin returned with the others at the Bureau and entered the bathroom.

She opened the water and splashed it over her face, then she heard the door being opened and closed.

"Are you ok?" Asked Isobel.

"I am... Thank you."

"Your family?"

"They're good. We weren't together, we just met there."

"Ok..."

"My brother told who I am to one of the robbers... For my fortune, he was Agent Drumont. Another one would've killed me!"

Isobel wasn't able to believe Tobin's words "What??"

"They really hate me..." Said Tobin, with a sad smile, while a few tears escaped her eyes.

"I'm so sorry..." Whispered Isobel, getting closer to give a hug to her Agent.

Tobin accepted the hug and reciprocate it "Thank you..."

Isobel smiled at her, then they left the bathroom and Tobin was ready to do her job.

When the work turn ended, Scola gained everyone's attention "We're going to our pub for celebrate Tiff's bday! Are you coming??"

Everyone accepted the invitation, so they left, taking the elevator and leaving the building.

The Agents and the Analysts saw Christen outside and the Omega approached them.

"Hi..."

"Hi." Replied Tobin.

"I've heard you were taken as a hostage..."

"I was... But they saved me." Said the Alpha "How do you know?"

"I went with my father to a business meeting with your family..."

"My brother would've be very happy..."

Christen laughed lightly "He was, but I told him clearly I'm not interested in men and in idiots."

Thus time Tobin was the one who smiled "He truly is."

"Umm... Sorry to interrupt..." Said Scola "Can we go? Or we'll be late..."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to waste your time..."

"No problem! Our time isn't a waste."

"Ok... Oh, happy birthday."

"Thanks." Smiled a bit Tiffany.

"Join us!" Said Scola "It will be funny!"

Christen smiled a bit, looking at Tobin and then to Scola "Thanks for the invitation, but I don't want to interfere... This is a moment between you all."

"No problem for me..." Tried Tiffany.

"Thank you... Another time, maybe." Smiled Christen "Have a good night."

She turned and left, tears in her eyes.

She was worried for Tobin. She would've loved to hug and kiss her, held her close to her chest, just keep her company.

She knew Tobin's family hate her, she'd heard a lot of things from them.

Christen really liked the Alpha, so she never listened to the Heaths.

Chapter Text

The next day, our Agents had a hard case when they were called on a scene after a bomb explosion.

"Hope it's not terrorism!" Said Maeve.

"Yeah..." Agreed Scola.

Everyone was obviously worried and then a person with a robotic voice called.

The person asked for 3 milion Dollars to stop the bombs explosions, but the Bureau didn't want to pay.

Another bomb exploded after 30 minutes, so Isobel sent our Agents on the road to help the firefighters and the Paramedics.

But Tobin received a call from her father.

"Father, I can't talk right now... We are in the middle of a very hard case! What? Wait."

She motioned for her coworkers to get close, then she activated the speakerphone.

"There is someone here in the lab who said there are 4 bombs here, in the building where my company is..."

"Ok... Are you all ok?"

"We're scared... We... We..."

The call was interrupted and Maggie called Isobel, while Tobin run toward her family's company.

The others tried to call her, but Tobin was determinated to save her family.

The same family who hates her for no reasons.

When she arrived at the building, she saw some people who worked there running outside, scared, screaming.

The Alpha entered the building and went to the labs, finding her family by hearing her sister screaming like a chicken.

"Who are you??" Asked the person, a scarf all around his face, gun in the left hand, pointed to Tobin.

Tobin was calm, her hands up in the air.

"Tobias!" Said her father.

"I'm FBI Special Agent Tobin Heath. And you?"

"It's none of your business!"

"It is! You take my family as hostages. So?"

"Stay there, don't move! Or I'll shot you."

Tobin walked in front of her family members, who were looking at her.

"Shot, if this will make you feel better."

The person looked at her for a moment, then he motioned for the others to leave.

"Not you!" Said the man, pointing the gun to Tobin's brother "You insulted me, so you'll stay here with her."

The boy was going to say something, but Tobin's look let him change his mind.

"So you and your coworkers think to be able to stop my bombs before their explosions..."

"We are. And we'll be able to stop them! And you."

The man grinned "You sure?"

"I am."

"And if I'll shot you? Or him?"

"He's my brother and he hates me like my others family members. He's an idiot, but he's still my brother."

"If reached my goal, I'll have the chance to kill someone who works for the Justice!"

"So do it! You'll free me from a lot of pain!"

He shot at Tobin twice, but the Alpha was able to shot at him as well before falling.

Her brother looked at her and run away, without helping his sister.

Chapter Text

Outside the building, Tobin's family members were with our Agents and the Paramedics.

And then Travis came out of the building.

"Travis!" Said his mother, running toward him.

He gave a hug to his mother and his sister, then his father and OA got closer to him.

"Travis! Where is Tobias?"

"In the lab..." Answered the boy "That man shot her twice and she shot as well, killing him..."

Rowan and the Agents were looking at him "She... She was shot??" Asked Marion.

"Yeah. I hope she's dead now..."

And then his father Rowan punched he hard on the face "Idiot!! Stupid! Coward! Tobias came to save us and you left her there?? She can be dead!"

"Why are you getting mad??" Asked his daughter Jessica.

"You don't know how much pain she's caring in her heart! You don't know what happened when she was in war, what she lost... You're disgusting! The all of you!" Screamed the man.

Our Agents listened in shock and they understand now why Tobin never want to talk about her family or with them.

Maeve run in the building with 2 Paramedics, ready to rescue her friend and coworker.

The Alpha found Tobin in the lab and she knelt immediately next to her.

"She's alive! But she lost a lot of blood..."

The Paramedics took care of Tobin, taking her away after placing her on the litter.

Maeve called Isobel to inform her about Tobin, while returning to her coworkers.

The Agents were looking at Tobin, hoping she would've be ok.

"You... No one of you will have my money!" Said Rowan "I'll make a big donation to the Bureau and to the city, to rebuild the burned places!"

His wife Annette, Travis and Jessica tried to protest, but his look adverted them to stay silent.

"Why are you doing this?" Asked Tiffany.

"Tobias suffered a lot when she was a soldier..."

The man told his family and the Agents what happened to Tobin, shocking everyone.

No one would've imagined all the pain Tobin had in her heart.

She suffered a lot for her young age.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Tobin was taken into the operating room for a surgery.

Isobel arrived there to have news about her coworker and were joined by her Team and Rowan.

Tobin's mother, brother and sister refused to be there, despite of what Rowan told everyone.

Also Christen arrived, informed by her secretary Kelley "How's she??"

"She's in surgery now... We don't know anything..."

And they sat in the waiting room, hoping to receive good news.

Chapter Text

After 6, long hours, a surgeon reached for our Special Agents, Christen and Rowan.

"How's my daughter?"

"She lost a lot of blood and she had internal damages, but she's ok now."

"Can I see her?"

"No, not now. She needs a lot of rest..."

The small group nodded and the surgeon left.

Christen started to cry and Marion just caressed her shoulders, trying to comfort her.

"She was a hero..."

"She deserves a medal."

"I just want her to wake up and be ok..."

Rowan looked at Christen, smiling a bit, like if he knew something.

After another hour, the surgeon reached for them and the small group stood up.

"News, doctor?"

"No. But you can see your daughter, Sir."

Rowan followed him, entering the room where Tobin was lying on the bed, sitting on the chair, taking her right hand in his own.

"Stay with me, ok? Don't go... Don't reach for your true family, please. Please..."

And there, where no one can saw him, Rowan started to cry for his daughter.

Meanwhile, outside the room, Isobel, Christen and the Agents were there.

"Go... Go and help people. Go to work. We can't do anything here..." Said Isobel.

Her Agents nodded, but Maggie stayed there a bit more, looking at her former boss and lover.

And like always, words weren't needed between them.

They understood each other with a simple look.

Maggie left as well, so Isobel sat next to Christen.

"She's strong. She will be back to us."

Christen wasn't able to speak, she just nodded and Isobel tried to comfort her.

At the same time, Tobin opened her eyes and she just saw all white around her.

She looked around, but nothing was in sight.

She started to walk, when she heard a baby's crying, so she run to find the little one and she saw a house.

The Alpha looked at the house, unable to believe her eyes when she saw who came out from there.

"Welcome back home, love!"

"What..."

"It's like you saw a ghost...:

"Najri..."

Chapter Text

Tobin stood froze, while the brunette Omega smiled at her, getting closer.

"It's like you saw a ghost..."

"Najri... You're... You're here..."

"There isn't another place where I want to be!" Smiled the girl "This is your heart and it's a very beautiful place to live."

Tobin took the girl up in her arms and she circled the Alpha's waist with her legs "I've missed you badly, my love..."

"I'm always here!" Replied Najri "Come in, Jordan is waiting for his mother..."

"He's..."

"Yeah... He was our never born baby."

Tobin's eyes become sad and she entered home, taking the baby boy in her arms "You're beautiful..."

"Dinner's ready."

They sat and they started to eat, chatting about this and that, enjoying their time together.

Then Tobin washed the dishes and Najri took Jordan to the bed.

Tobin started to kiss Najri's neck and the Omega smiled "I'm sure he will be happy to have a brother or a sister..."

Najri turned in the Alpha's embrace, looking at her in the eyes "You know you can't stay here..."

"Why not?"

"You have to go back. There are people who need you..."

"No one need me. Everyone just hate me... My family first."

"What about your coworkers?"

Tobin looked down and then to Najri "Just one night... And then I'll go. I promise. Even if I don't want to leave you again!"

There were tears in the Alpha's eyes and in Najri ones as well.

"I'll be always here, in your heart! I'll never leave. Ok?"

The girls shared a sweet kiss, then a passionate one and they start to remove their clothes, ready to made love.

It was like they never got separated.

The passion exploded and they enjoyed their intimacy, this last moment between them.

They reached the peak a few times together, then Najri rested on Tobin's chest, in her arms, the Alpha caressing her back tenderly.

"It was amazing!"

"It was. Like always! You never lost your touch." Smiled Najri and Tobin grinned "But tell me..."

"What?" Asked Tobin, while Najri was tracing patterns on her chest, where the Alpha's heart was pounding.

"That girl, Christen... Is there something between you?"

"No." Smiled Tobin "She's a very cute girl..."

"Why don't you try to know her? She seems to be very nice..."

"I can't... I love you..."

Najri smiled, looking into Tobin's eyes "You know I won't come back with you, so go on with you life! You deserve love and to be loved! You have a lot to do in your heart..."

Tobin let out a deep breath "I don't know..."

"Promise me!" Said the Omega, firmly "Promise me you'll try! You don't have to be alone."

"I promise."

"I love you Tobin. Forever."

"I love you too, Najri. Forever!"

And everything faded and Tobin saw all the white around her.

Tobin walked a lot, she thought, nothing into view, just white all around.

And someone was standing in front of it.

The Alpha recognized the person immediately and she run toward him, crying and then launching in his waiting arms.

"I've missed you a lot, little one!"

"Me too, uncle!"

The man, Philip, smiled, caressing his niece's hair with tenderness.

"You already were, but you're a very beautiful girl!"

Tobin smiled a bit "I've missed you! There are... There are so many things I want to tell you!"

Philip smiled again "I know everything cause I live here in your heart, but we can talk! I've missed our moments."

"Me too!"

"We can talk while walking to reach for the exit door."

Tobin felt sad again at the idea of leaving her beloved uncle again, but she smiled.

She wanted to enjoy the last moment with him, like she did with Najri.

They talked a lot, while walking and then they saw the door.

"This is..."

"Yeah." Smiled Philip "Walk through this and you'll be back in the real world."

"So we have to say goodbye again..."

"I'll be here always." Said the man, caressing Tobin's right shoulder "But promise something to me..."

"Sure!"

"Be happy! And... Christen is a beautiful girl, you should try to know her!"

"Najri told me the same!"

"She's a great girl. I knew her, a month before my death..."

"Really?"

"Yeah." Smiled the man "I knew her during a meeting and we talked. I told her about you and she seemed intrigued by my niece in the Army..."

Tobin smiled a bit, blushing lightly "She's nice, I can tell it. And Yeah, I really want to know her..."

Philip smiled as well "Then go! She's waiting for you to come back..."

"Thank you... Thank you so much!"

Uncle and niece shared a long hug and a few tears escaped, then Tobin walked through the door.

She met again the love of her life and her beloved uncle, finding the answers she needed and having the chance to say goodbye to them both.

It was time to go back.

Christen was sitting on the chair next to the bed, her head over her arms, on the mattress.

She woke up when she felt a gentle touch on her arm and her eyes were wide open in a second.

"Tobin! You... You come back..."

The Alpha smiled a bit, then Christen stood up to call the doctor and Tobin's friends.

Her father was there as well.

The doctor visited the brunette and asked her questions, then he smiled "Welcome back, Tobin!"

"Can we stay here with her?"

"Sure, but don't make her tired."

The doctor left the room and Tobin's father caressed the girl's hair, happy for her to be awake.

"I've missed you, Tobias."

Tobin rolled her eyes and instead of answer, she just smiled.

She was a bit tired to tell her father her name is Tobin.

"I think we have to let Tobin rest." Said Isobel "Let's go outside."

Everyone left the room, but when Christen was going to exit as well, Maggie stopped her.

"Stay here... Isobel told everyone to go outside just to leave the two of you alone."

Christen blushed a bit and she returned to sit on the chair.

"They left us alone..."

"Yeah... They did." Smiled Christen "But if you want me to go..."

"No. Please, stay."

Christen nodded "Ok..."

"Would you love to go on a date with me when I'll be ok?"

The Omega didn't expected this question, but she smiled "I really would love to!"

"Good... Can't wait for that day to come!"

"Me too!"

After a week, Tobin was discharged from the hospital and Isobel gave her free days to stay at home and recover properly.

Her coworkers went to visit her, helping in every way they could, but the Alpha had a special request for Maggie and Marion.

"Can you please buy these things?" Asked Tobin, giving Maggie her wallet.

"Wow... A romantic dinner?"

Tobin blushed a bit "I hope so..."

"I can help you to cook, if you want." Smiled Marion "We'll surprise Christen!"

Tobin blushed again, then her coworkers left, so she took the painkillers and then she sat on the sofa, phone in her hands.

The brunette sent a text to Christen, to invite her over for dinner and the Omega answered, accepting the invite.

When Maggie and Marion returned, the Omega stopped to help Tobin to cook dinner and they obtained a great result.

"Thank you so much, Marion!"

"My pleasure!" Replied the Omega, smiling and giving a hug to Tobin, who reciprocated it "Let me know if you'll need advices in cooking."

Tobin nodded and they greeted, so Marion left and the Alpha went to take a shower, wearing something comfy.

Christen arrived perfectly in time "Hi!"

The Alpha looked at the Omega, unable to look away from her beauty "Hi... Please, come in!"

Tobin took Christen's jacket and the Omega looked around "I really like the apartment!"

"Thank you... Make yourself comfortable, I'm going to grab dinner from the kitchen."

Christen nodded and she took a seat at the table and when Tobin returned from kitchen, she smiled "What an amazing smell! I'm sure it will be delicious."

"Hope so!"

They enjoyed dinner, chatting and smiling, finding a lot of things in common and this made them both happy.

"That pasta was wonderful and the cake... Superb!"

"Thank you... But one of my coworkers helped me, I admit it!"

Christen smiled a bit "No problem for me!"

"What about a movie?"

"Sure! Which one?"

"Choose the one you want! I have DVDs or we can watch something on Netflix..."

Tobin went to place the dishes in the dishwasher, while Christen sat on the sofa and turned on the TV, searching something on Netflix.

Then Tobin joined her and they sat next to each other, appreciating their company.

The next morning, Tobin and Christen woke up at the same moment.

They got asleep on the sofa, with the TV on.

"Damn..." Muttered Tobin.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to stay over..."

"Don't worry!" Smiled the Alpha "I loved to have you here! But..."

"But?"

"I'm sore... My back hurts a bit..."

Christen let out a small laugh "I can give you a massage, if you want..."

The Omega blushed a bit and Tobin did the same, but then she smiled too, removing her hoodie and t-shirt, laying on her stomach.

Christen took in the brunette's beauty and her body, starting her massage.

Tobin made purrs, like a big cat and Christen tried her best to control herself, cause those noises were turning her on.

"Your hands are magic!"

"Thanks..." Said Christen, standing up and looking at Tobin, opening her eyes wide in pure surprise when she saw Tobin's sculpted abs.

"Have you seen something you like?" Asked the Alpha, grinning a bit.

Christen looked at her, blushing and Tobin took the Omega's hands in hers, placing them on her abs.

"I... Ummm..."

"They're all yours." Smiled the brunette "If you still want me..."

Christen smiled, happy tears in her eyes "I do! I'll always want you."

They shared a hug and then their first sweet kiss "Christen..."

"Are you sure about this? About... Us?"

"I am!" Smiled Tobin "I'm ready to go on with my life... And I want you in it!"

"There isn't another place where I want to be!"

They smiled at each other and then they shared another kiss.

During the afternoon, Tobin received the visit of Maeve, who went to buy something for the brunette.

"Thank you!" Smiled Tobin "How much..."

"No no, nothing. It's ok." Replied Maeve "Just... Give me an advice."

"If I can..."

Maeve seemed to be nervous and Tobin noticed it "Do you want to talk about Marion?"

The other Alpha blushed a bit "Yeah. I... I want to ask her out... What I have to do?"

Tobin smiled "You can do the usual things... Just ask her out for a coffee, drinks, lunch, dinner... I'm sure she won't say no!"

"Hope so... I'm a bit nervous!"

"It will be ok. I'm sure about it!" Said Tobin "And don't forget flowers!"

"I won't." Smiled Maeve "Thank you... I'll let you know!"

"Sure!"

In that moment, someone rang the doorbell and Tobin opened the door, finding Marion outside.

Maeve had her eyes wide open.

"Hi!" Smiled the Omega, greeting her coworkers "My car broke... Can you help me please?"

"I have to take painkillers and start to plan my first date with Christen..." Revealed the Alpha "But I'm sure Maeve will be very happy to help you."

"Sure!" Answered the other Alpha.

Marion gave her a beautiful smile "Really?? Thanks!" Said the Omega, leaving Tobin's house with Maeve, who muttered a Thank you to her friend.

Tobin let out a deep breath and went to the kitchen to take the painkillers, then she sat on the sofa, phone in her hands.

She wanted her first date with Christen to be unforgettable, but she just started with a call to the flower shop and a special delivery.

She would've planned everything calmly.

Tobin planned everything for her first date with Christen and she was waiting for the Omega to arrive.

And Christen arrived in perfect time.

"Hi!" Smiled the Omega.

"Hi!" Replied Tobin, opening the door "You're beautiful!"

"Thanks..." Said Christen, blushing a bit.

Tobin gave her a soft kiss on the lips, making the raven haired girl smile.

"I have a surprise for you..."

The Omega started to follow Tobin, reaching for the backyard and Christen had her eyes wide open in surprise.

There were a table with something on it and candles everywhere.

"Wow! It's... It's beautiful..."

"Glad you like it."

"I absolutely love it!"

"These are for you." Said Tobin, taking the bouquet of red roses on the table and giving them to the Omega.

"They're beautiful too!" Said Christen, smiling and giving Tobin a sweet kiss "Thank you!"

Then the Alpha went to the kitchen to grab dinner and take it on the table.

Tobin cooked a roast with potatoes, a salad and a fruit cake.

And the couple loved every minute of the dinner, talking, smiling and enjoying their company.

"Do you have to go?" Asked Tobin, around 9.

"I do, but..."

"What if if I ask you to stay?"

"I stay." Replied Christen.

They leaned into each other, starting to kiss slowly and the passion grew second by second.

"Bedroom?"

"Bedroom..."

Tobin took Christen up in her arms, entering the house and reaching for her Bedroom, leaning on the bed.

They were both ready for their first time together.

The next morning, Tobin and Christen woke up in their arms, sharing sweet kisses.

"You know... The first time I saw you at the dinner for your father's birthday, my family was planning for me a wedding with your brother!"

"Oh God..."

"But I've refused, obviously." Said Christen, caressing Tobin's chest "I've told them I would've never marry him!"

Tobin laughed heartily "Good! Cause I'll be the one who's going to marry you!"

Christen raised her head, meeting Tobin's eyes, full of love "Really? You... You want..."

"I do!" Smiled the Alpha, caressing Christen's right side "If I knew a priest..."

"I can say the same..."

"I love you!"

"I love you too." Smiled the Omega, kissing Tobin with passion and the brunette reciprocated the kiss.

They made love, then the girls rested in each other's arms, happy and satisfied.

"Have you got plans for the day?"

"I do." Replied Christen, letting out a breath "I have 2 meetings! I'll barely have time to eat something..."

"Ok..."

They shared another kiss, then they went to take a shower together.

But then a problem came. At least, the problem was for Christen.

"I don't have something to wear..."

"You can borrow what you like from my wardrobe..."

"Ok, but... I'm pretty sure you don't have typical femenine clothes."

Tobin laughed a bit "You're right. I haven't! But maybe you can find something you like..."

"I'll check!"

"Good." Replied Tobin, kissing her lover "I go to prepare breakfast!"

Tobin headed to the kitchen, starting to cook something, but when she was going to take the plates on the table, her attention was full caught by Christen.

She was wearing a black tux with the heels she had on the evening before, her hairs tied in a loose ponytail.

"How am I?"

"Wonderful..."

"Really?"

"Really!" Smiled Tobin "The look was simple but so good! My tux looks great on you."

Christen blushed a bit "Thanks..."

"Let me."

"How charming..." Whispered the Omega, when Tobin removed the chair for her.

"You haven't seen anything. Believe me!"

A month passed and the relationship between Tobin and Christen was great and the Alpha felt it was the right moment to propose.

"Today's the day!" Said Maeve.

"Yeah..."

"Are you nervous?" Asked Maggie.

"I am!" Smiled Tobin, taking a small box from her pocket "Look."

"Hell! This is a ring!"

"This is the ring!" Said Marion and Isobel together, looking at the wild gold ring with a diamond in the middle.

"You like it?"

"Yeah and we're sure Christen will like it as well!"

"Thank you... Hope so."

Then the evening arrived and Tobin checked for the 3rd time if everything was ok.

The Alpha went to take a shower and got ready, then she heard the doorbell.

"Hi!" Said Christen, when Tobin opened the door, entering the apartment.

"Hi... You're stunning!"

"Thanks! You are as well."

The couple shared a sweet kiss and the dinner started.

They talked and then Tobin went to the kitchen to take the 2 small plates with a slice of cake on each one and placed something special on one.

"Here... This is yours."

Christen noticed the ring almost immediately "Tobin... This..."

The Alpha knelt next to Christen and the girl was looking at her with eyes full of surprise and tears.

"Christen, you know how much I love you. I've never felt so good with someone in a long time and I want to be with you together. So... Do you want to marry me?"

"Yes... Yes!"

Tobin stood up and placed the ring on Christen's finger, kissing it, but the Omega stopped her lover.

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I... I have something to tell you as well..."

Christen gave a letter to Tobin and the Alpha opened it, reading and then she looked at Christen with eyes wide open.

"Chris, you..."

"Yes! I'm pregnant, Tobin!"

The Alpha left the letter on the table and kissed Christen with happiness, full of joy.

"A baby... We're going to have a baby!"

"Yes!"

"My life can't be more beautiful! I'm so happy."
