“GUYS GUYS GUYS!! CHRISTMAS!! WAKE UPPPPPP”
The small bog turtle yelled in excitement as they ran around in the hall with the bedrooms, knocking on the doors while running past them.
A door opened and out came Mamo, rubbing his eye and putting on his glasses, smiling at the younger turtle
“alright alright calm down Zuks, how about you go downstairs and i’ll get Raku and Rin?”
he said calmly giving the smaller a quick head pat to which the smaller smiled, nodded and ran down the steps in a hurry. The oldest knocking calmly on the two last bedroom doors to which one turtle came out, rubbing his eyes
“mamo why noiseee?”
Rakugan asked the older in confusion, which the older smiled at
“christmas morning, remember?”
the turtle blinked a few times searching for the meaning of the words before their eyes widened and his mouth opened slightly in excitement, quickly walking into their room again before emerging with a zip up hoodie on over his pjs. Now making his way down the stairs as well just like the youngest turtle did before him, the oldest smiled wider watching them almost jog down the stairs before turning away and knocking once more on the last door before opening it slowly
“Rinnnn? It’s morning sleepy head, plus it’s christmas morning”
A gruff came from the bed which the last turtle was sleeping on
“goo awayyyyy, i wannnaaa sleeppp”
Darrin mumbled before putting her face into the pillow, Mamo walked over and sat down on the side of the bed with a chuckle, placing a hand on the others shell and rubbing the shell gently
“Cmon, can’t keep the others waiting, they both ran down the stairs in excitement over today, well Raku tried walking calmly but ended up jogging down them”
Mamo giggled to the other, a small huff coming from the light blue turtle before a groan came out of their throat
“finneeeeee, taking blanket with me tho.”
Rin said turning over with a fake scowl on their face, he tried hiding the smile but failed horribly which Mamo chuckled at and stood up offering a hand to the mississippi map turtle which said turtle took and got up, still clutching onto the blanket quickly shuffling the blanket over her own shell and shoulders. The two walked down the stairs seeing Raku and Zuki sitting in front of the christmas tree, both tails waggling just looking at the gifts, Zuki openingly showing the pure excitement emanating from them where the other tried keeping it hidden but the tail waggle clearly showing the excitement. Zuki noticed the sound of the two walking down the steps and turning their head quickly with a big smile, Raku also turning their head to look at the two
“FINALLY!! Come on you two!!!”
Zuki practically yelled with a goofy grin, Rin wincing a little at the loud turtle still very tired and groaned slightly mumbling out a small “loouuddd” that only Mamo heard, laughing and walking over with Rin
“alright alright we’re here, Zuki can you hand out presents?”
he asked as he sat down, Rin soon following onto the floor
“yea!!”
Zuki said happily turning back to the tree and grabbing the presents and then shuffling back around to face the others and handing them out.
Mamo started shortly after the others with unwrapping, the first gift a Pancake pan which he smiled over and said a quiet “yes!” in victory, looking over it before setting it down and starting to unwrap another, it containing a waffle maker he looked at it with a small “ooo” and then opened it seeing the waffle iron forming a cute bear face, which he gasped at and his tail started swaying happily almost hitting Rin who was sitting besides him which the blue turtle let out and “ack!” in surprise over the tail suddenly coming close to their face, then blowing a raspberry at the older.
Rin looked at her presents and started unwrapping the presents the same time as the others started, opening the first one which had some yellow flame sunglasses in it, he chuckled and put them on, before pushing Raku slightly so the other would look, Raku looked at Rin then gasped and pointed excitedly to which the other smirked at giggling. Rin then went back to their other present opening it and finding a little crate with differently coloured nail polishes in ranging from the classic rainbow color’s to the the shades in between, in total around 12 different nail polishes which the turtle looked at happily tail also waggling.
Raku looked at the others opening their presents before beginning to open his, they got an apron with the text ‘don’t be afraid to take whisks’ on it with two whisks under, they chuckled at the bad pun written on, opening another which contained a new zip up hoodie in a yellow color and a small bumble bee embroidered on the front, he quickly shrug off the hoodie he was wearing and shuffled the new one on smiling happily.
Zuki was gifted with a huge fluffy light orange blanket, which he gasped at happily and squealed slightly almost bouncing as they put their face in the blanket and rubbed his face on it, feeling the texture of the soft blanket. After a little while he unwrapped another seeing a huge Djunkskog plush which they quickly hugged as tightly as possible, rubbing their face in the plushies fur.
They all snuggled closer and hugged each other, Mamos arms reaching all the way around the others as they laughed and said thanks to the others, Raku tearing up slightly with a huge smile plastered on his face as the others giggled and hugged tighter.
“loves you guys”
“we love you too”
The three others said at the same time to the softshell, surrounded by warmth and presents and family.
