Sonic was just having a regular day. There was no sign of eggman so he just went running and chilled at meh burger with his friends. So when another blue hedgehog by the name of zonic appeared in his home and told him to come with him, you could probably guess sonics answer.
"no"
Zonic stared at him, not expecting that response.
"this is not a request, the universe is in danger"
"look, i'm sure you and the others that you convinced to help will take care of it yourselves. But i have to stay here and make sure that eggman doesn't try anything"
"don't you think it's weird that robotnik hasn't tried anything within the past couple of weeks"
"well now that you mention it i-"
"then lets go"
"ok, ok jeez"
Zonic then opened up some crystal like portal as he reached forward and grabbed it. Sonic hesitantly did the same. A loud zwoop sounded across hedgehog village as the two cobalt hedgehogs disappeared.
When they reappeared, they were no longer by the coastline and instead inside some sort of swaying metal building.
"welcome boom to the ship"
"that's great- wait, boom?! That's not my name!"
"you have to have nicknames or else it'll get confusing"
"what do you mean confusing?!"
"I'll show you"
Zonic lead boom into a room filled with similar looking hedgehogs. The green one noticed that zonic had returned with boom.
"who the hell is that?"
Boom was too bemused to pay attention to zonic's and the green one's, whose apparently named scourge, conversation. Scourge angrily walks away after a bit of back and forth.
"now if we're finished"
Zonic says suddenly getting everyone elses attention
"i'd like to introduce you all"
"everyone meet boom"
The mention of his nickname brought boom out of his thoughts.
Zonic then starts pointing at the different hedgehogs, introducing them one by one.
"the one on the left is modern"
"the two over there using asl are classic and animation"
"the one reading that book is nicky"
"the one in the corner is fleetway"
"the three talking over there are aosth, satam and archie"
"the two sitting together are wachowski and ova"
"the one practising his guitar is underground"
"the one leaning against the wall over there is x"
"you've already met Scourge but the one next to him is prime"
"the one eating a large jelly bean is cookie"
"the one speaking french is adventure"
"the two eating chili dogs are lego and KO"
"the one in regal clothing is king"
"and the final two over there are dash and gremlin"
"and you Obviously know me zonic"
Boom looks around, taking in the sight in front of him
"this is great but what are we doing here exactly"
