Chapter Text
MK, Mei and Sandy were together playing an arcade game called Monkey Mech just outside Pigsy's Noodle shop. Sandy behind the two best friends cheering MK on while he lost to Mei.
"Up, smash! Up, smash!" Sandy said to MK. "I'm trying Sandy! Okay! I'm trying!" MK mashed the buttons but isn't causing any damage to Mei's character. "No one can defeat me!" She laughed when she won.
Until Mei's phone began to ring, cutting her victory cry short. "Oh geez.." Answering the phone to her mother and stepping back to talk with her. MK let out a mischievous laugh and continued to attack Mei's character for an unfair win.
A bull clone spying on the three of them not too far from. It listened in to their conversation and swiped its arm in the air for some holographic screens to appear. Information of Mei and her family on the screens.
A Jade Dragon Blade appeared over all the screens.
"The legendary dragon blade.." Princess Iron Fan whispered, "That blade is amongst the most powerful artifacts in history. I do love powerful things." A smirk plastered on her face.
"Go. Bring it to me." PIF ordered the bull clone for it to nod. Before the screen closed from the bull clone, she spoke. "Also bring back anything of great power if you find more in that old man's museum."
With a tip of its hat, it set off to follow the gang. Treading carefully to not let any of the three notice its presence.
Soon enough the gang arrived at the estate. "It's even better than I thought! Growing up in a house like this must've been great!" MK gushed and jumped around.
Mei only forced a laugh "Haha, yea.. I guess. But I-I don't know.."
"Growing up, I always had to follow my parent's rules." She began, "I wasn't allowed to act out. I just want to be rough and tumble and break stuff. You know- have fun!"
"But when you come from a long-long line of ancient noble dragons, that kind of behavior is.. frowned on."
Once she finished, Mei quickly changed the subject to not distinguish the earlier happy atmosphere. "Anyway, onwards to the definitely-not-gonna-be-terrible sleepover!" MK and Sandy went dashing to the front gate.
The dragon head above the gate scanned MK and Sandy for a bunch of lasers and weapons to come out. Mei coming to rescue the two from certain death shut down the weapons by inputting a code in the touchpad.
"My parents are a bit serious on the ol' security thing-", "Welcome home, Mei." A robot voice said as the gate opened.
Priceless artifacts displayed in a long hall, MK and Sandy touching almost everything they see. MK swinging an axe that broke and the head of the axe flew to an armor stand. Sandy picking up a dragon pillar to closer inspect it. This allowed the bull clone enough distraction to slip past them.
The bull clone grabbed some other artifacts on its way to finding the Jade Dragon Blade. Scanning several artifacts power range, ignoring each one that doesn't look of value and came across a pure white marble lamp. Nothing about the lamp made it look like it was anything special. A smoke pattern from the handle of the lamp to the base. Designed just like any other.
Its eyes lit up like it just hit a jackpot. Quickly snatching the lamp from its previous post then stuffed it into the bag. Whatever it saw in the power range, that lamp must hold immense ability. The question was what was it doing in the dragon clan's estate? Possibly just offered as a gift by another person who mistook it as ordinary.
Locating the dragon claw chamber where the blade was held, the group tailed behind and the bull clone hid behind one of the pillars of the chamber. Climbing up to the ceiling.
"And this is the dragon claw chamber." Mei said since she had toured the two around her museum of a home. "Woah woah wait- Now this thing is cool!" MK and Sandy awed at the pure white dragon statue holding the jade blade.
MK in awe moved around touching the blade hanging from the dragon statue observing it. "What's the deal-o with this?"
"Uh, oh it is the sword of my great great times, a thousand great grandfather." Mei looked up to a tapestry of her great grandfather.
"The Dragon of the West. Legend says that my grandfather imbued it with unimaginable power so that our clan would always have the strength of the dragon to protect them. Its true power would only reveal itself to those deemed worthy... A true member of our clan."
Mei paused for a moment, looking disheartened as she spoke.
"... Whose proven themselves strong enough to protect our family from the forces of evil." MK stared at the blade glistening in the light. "Buuutt, I'm not allowed to touch it. Anyone wanna see the game room?"
"Alright!", "Oh yeah!" Sandy and MK cheered and ran out of the dragon claw chamber.
The poor girl glanced back at the other tapestries of her ancestors inside the chamber before turning back and leaving as well.
The bull clone dropped down from the ceiling onto the statue and struggled to take out the dragon blade from its post.
Mei was rushing past carrying snacks for the sleepover and abruptly stopped. "Bull clone! Wait a minute-"
The bull clone caught in the act, the two staring at each other for a couple seconds. "You're a bull clone!" Yanking the blade out of the dragon statue, threw an object at Mei then took off. "Hey get back here!" Mei gave chase and it sprinted along the hallway crashing through artifacts to further distract the girl. While chasing after the bull clone Mei tried to catch the items that were spared from the earlier bash.
Crashing through the wall and smashed through cars, it took a motorcycle as a get-away vehicle. Leaving Mei stunned and dropping the items she was carrying to whistle her own motorcycle to her that smashed through a wall. The bull clone used the blade to cut down pillars to give Mei more struggle to catch up. She tried avoiding the debri but her motorcycle launched her off.
Screaming in frustration and threw the broken off parts back on the motorcycle to fix it and jumped back on. Mei started the engine again for the motorcycle to enhance after it got fixed.
It blasted off farther than before to catch up to the bull clone. Once she caught up, she crashed straight into the bull clone for both to fly off their vehicles.
Tumbling over the crash, the bull clone crashed into the floor. The bag containing the marble lamp flew off its grip.
Mei crashed into a wall, sliding down and ducked before the dragon blade sliced her face. She gently pulled the blade from the wall and held it, almost immediately her ancestors' voices started flooding her head.
While Mei was in a trance, that little opening the bull clone got up and swooped up the bag only for its contents to drop as a hole was made under it. Digging through the pile to find the lamp, disregarding the other items since it overpowered them all.
"You know what.." Mei stared at the blade and got up from the floor. "I AM part of this family. Mei, descendant of the Great Dragon of the West Sea. This is mine and this is my house!" She put her foot down as she stepped forward for a bright green aura to shoot out from her through the ceiling. Retaliating against her ancestors' better judgment. The green light turned into an image of a green dragon that frightened the bull clone.
"Get. Out. Of my. Turf!" She yelled and pointed the blade to the bull clone to launch it out of the house.
Stumbling to its feet once it finally had the marble lamp in its hand but it didn't escape in time. The blast destroyed anything that crossed its path.
---
The lamp flew out of the house as far as the blast reached, not a single scratch on it. It withstanded that powerful blast when the bull clone hadn't. The marble lamp fell from the air and rolled down the street to its side. Waiting for someone to pick it up.
Coincidentally, a man with smooth black hair with round gold rimmed glasses, wearing red and white attire and maroon colored scarf came across the marble lamp. More of tripping over it.
Falling face first with a thud, he rolled over to see what tripped him and realigned his glasses. "What the..." The man murmured to himself and picked up the lamp to closely inspect it. "Looks like an antique." Rubbing his chin in thought. Surprisingly for someone that knew a lot about legends, ancient artifacts and all that jazz, he didn't recognize this item at all.
"Seems like a waste for someone to throw something like this away. Not broken or chipped anywhere." Tilting the lamp all around, noticing the writing engraved on the handle, running his finger over it. Due to the age of language evolution he could not decipher the writing because it was out of his current knowledge. In that split second the writing became decipherable to his eyes. "That's not normal." He stated the obvious.
"Seraphic being.. I will convene your name. Bestow my favor, oh seraphic Y.../n?" Silence fell. Nothing happened. Shrugging off the ominous writing getting up from the floor, dusting off the dirt and dust on him. "Eh, Maybe Sandy would take interest in it for his tea brewing."
---
Hours of the day passed and Princess Iron Fan was inspecting the recording of what happened to the bull clone she sent off since it did not come back. The last thing seen by the bull clone was the blast from the dragon blade before glitching to complete static. "Tch, I gave it one task and no good results." PIF frowned on the screen. She took a moment before rewounding the recording back a few minutes to when the bull clone was salvaging through a pile of artifacts.
It's perspective was damaged but you can still make out what's happening. Bull clone pulling out a simple marble lamp.
"So that's where it has been since the last few hundred years." A small smirk crept on her face.
"I guess that piece of scrap metal did bring back one good thing."
