She didn't know what to say. She knew the risks but didn't think it would happen to her. All she could do was stare at the small object in disbelief.
"How did this happen?" She asked herself "We did everything to make sure this didn't happen." Izumo was so mad at herself that she wanted to break the object in half. "What if the church finds out? They kill both of us." She began worrying about the future.
She began to pace back and forth for a few hours, focusing on what will happen when word breaks out. Until she heard the door open and close. "Izumo? I'm home." Spoke a voice.
It was Rin, he was back. Izumo stared down at the object and then stared in the direction of his voice through the wall. "If a decision is going to be made, then he needs to take part in it."
She exited the room she was in and closed the door behind her. She looked at Rin with a sullen expression while he looked at her with his usual grin until he notices her expression.
"What's wrong?" He asked as he approached her, putting his arms on her shoulders.
"Rin...there's something I need to tell you," Izumo said as she removed Rin's hands from her shoulders as she looked up at him. "I'm...I'm pregnant."
Over the next few seconds, Izumo saw Rins face change from worry to shock to happiness. Rin wrapped his arms around I
"This is GREAT NEWS! I'm gonna be a dad! And you'll be a mom!" He then squeezed Izumo tightly as he could.
"Why the hell are you so happy!?" Izumo yelled as he pushed him away. "I'm going to give birth to the grandchild of Satan! Did you forget your lineage!?"
Before Izumo could continue her rant, Rin stopped her in her tracks. "Izumo, it's fine."
"Fine? Fine!? What in gods name about this whole situation is fine!? When the Grigori find out they probably execute us both!"
Rin's smirk grew wider. "Not if Mephisto has anything to say about it." Izumo gave a confused expression. "Let's just say that over the years I've racked up a few favors from him. And I'm ready to cash them in."
Izumo stared at Rin blankly as he continued. "I'm gonna do everything I can to make sure no one stops our family Izumo. I promise."
A flurry of emotions rushed through Izumo like a freight train until stopping on a mixture of relief, happiness, and sadness.
She began to break down and cry at Rin's dedication to the child Izumo was carrying. Rin simply responded by hugging Izumo and pulling her to their couch and letting her cry herself to sleep.
