everyone was singing along to the song inside the club, dancing to the beat, raising their cups up and feeling the alcohol burn in their system. it's a nice way to spend the night with your friends and away from your own problems
mitsuya has been staring at you from across the room and it's like his feet are glued to the ground. he can't move his feet. his knees lock when he tried getting up, his hands sweat when he tried to even move, and his breath catches in his throat when he sees you turn, giving him a clear look to your beautiful face
he knew just then that you're the one for him. but there's just one thing that makes him struggle to have you – he considers you to be too damn perfect for him
just seeing you smile, even if it's not pointed at him, makes him weak to his knees. the way you dance so awkwardly with your friends brings a shaky smile to his face, letting out a breath of laughter whenever you stumble on your feet. and when you sing along to a song? he could see your lips stutter, obvious that you don't know the lyrics but you later follow it with a quirky face that made your friends laugh
he's borderline falling in love with you with each second that passed
no matter how much draken would nudge at him to get his attention, his eyes are solely focused on you and that made draken give up and settled with replacing his empty bottle of beer with a new one instead before going back to chatting with mikey and the others
they leave him to his own world since they've never seen him like this before
when mitsuya takashi likes someone, he doesn't hesitate to come up to them and have a conversation. he's even successful in getting their phone number and instagram after flirting, and he's never one to shy away from going out on dates
so why is he acting like this toward you? draken was worried, pa-chin and the others were curious, and mikey is a lil shit saying mitsuya's lost his touch and reverted back to a virgin
but maybe he did because mitsuya suddenly forgot how to flirt and he's scared he might fuck up if he goes to you now. he doesn't want to let go of you, so he's staring at you instead. like a total creep
however, that's not how your friends see it. with a face like his though? and his designer clothes? sheesh, sign me up as the next object of his affection
they literally almost bulldozered you when they noticed him staring for the longest time. you love your friends, you really do. but they're so observant of their surroundings that it weirds you out sometimes. especially when it comes to stuff like this

you look at where they're pointing and you see a guy with lavender hair who snapped his head away and faked a sip of his beer as soon as you spotted him
he can't help it, he panickedt
you're absolutely breath-taking
he knew your eyes were pretty but with them looking right at him? he's fucked
mitsuya already started imagining moments wherein you'd beam at him whenever you're out on a date. he could see how your eyes would brighten up when he brings you a gift or when he surprises you. he could clearly envision the moment when he'd kiss you, how your eyes would dilate and become droopy…
and, you can't really blame him for this, but he could also picture how you would get so teary-eyed your eyes would look like they're sparkling when he makes you feel so good in more ways than one

you were about to take your words back about him being a creep to your friends but one song suddenly played and you snatched an empty beer bottle as a microphone, looking at your friends with a cheeky smile which they soon followed by linking their arms with yours as you all started to sing the lyrics and the nostalgia this brings to you made you forget about your… admirer
for mitsuya's case, this is a fitting song for his predicament
he looks back at you and just stares at you harder – if that's even possible

he remembers how his jaw dropped the moment he saw you walk inside the bar and it's like you got him in a trance the entire time you're here. this song was directed towards him and he can't help the warmth creeping up from his neck up to his face from the embarrassing realization
when earlier he was openly staring at you, now he's hunched on his seat, a hand covering the bottom of his face, mortified, and his eyes squinted in embarrassment as he tries to hide himself watching you sing and dance with your friends
he's decided that he really can't bring himself to go up to you
for now
it was a few nights later that he saw you again at the same bar with your friends
and this time, he gathered up enough courage and prepared mentally to finally talk to you
draken gave him words of wisdom, hakkai showed him great support by bowing and telling him that he's there for him as his ex vice-president, mikey gave him a strong pat on the back with a knowing and cheeky grin, and the others pushed him towards you with great fervor
and you caught him with your arms, literally, and let out a soft laugh
"your friends are really supportive, huh?"
and just like that, he's reduced to a speechless and lovesick idiot once again
