Dual Celestial Emergence

Summary:

Countless stars shine above, each unique in their own way.

But for a faraway observer, they appear inexplicably linked, forming a pattern over the dark sky. A group shines together, and two closest of all, no matter how different they seem.

Notes:

Ivian: Here’s hoping this works out. Critique welcome! Constructive critique, that is...

Tasai: Hello, it's gonna be fun to be part of the collab. And Happy New Year!

Soul: Don't mind me, just making sure everything is where it should be.

Chapter Text

POV: Tasai

I… Awoke. There’s no better way to describe it, one moment I was not aware, and the next I was. And I was… Currently face planted on the floor. Grunting in annoyance, I tried to force myself up with my currently very stubby hands.

I only managed to put myself into a sitting position instead of standing like I intended to do. It has been over 2 weeks already since I first reincarnated, and although I knew it’s too much to hope that I could move myself around already when I’m so young, a baby can hope right?

“Buawa. Bwabwa.”

This sucks. So much.

“Dour, houn, houn, houn.”

“Pwatatataha!”

Oh shut up Houndour!

Yes, the annoying dog who laughed at me is a Houndour, my dad’s partner. Apparently, I’d been reincarnated into the world of Pokemon, dunno which verse though, nor where I was born. I’d probably find out eventually though.

“P-wa! P-wa! P-wa!”

One-Two! One-Two! One-Two!

Well then, time to continue doing what my unaware self was trying to do, practise crawling. Hopefully, by the time I lost my awareness again, the muscle memories from me doing it properly would carry over and help me be able to learn to crawl again faster.

This went on for like… 10 minutes or so I think? My biological clock was shot, or hadn’t even formed yet, so I wouldn't know. Regardless, after some time passed, Houndour personally stopped me by picking me up from the neck like I’m his puppy.

I’d have protested, but I could already feel my awareness fading again like the previous times. I had already figured out why it was the case by now, though I really disliked it.

“Hua, auauuu….”

Damn it, why are baby bodies so bad at sustaining self-awareness…

POV: Ivian

“Gah!” I sat up, hard. What on earth? Wasn’t I in my bed? Why is the floor so tough? I blinked hard, wiping the gunk from my eyes with my hands. Furry hands. Furry hands with tiny stubs for fingers. Furry paws? Nah, must be a hallucination… Lemme check again-

“So, you are awake.” A voice booms, distracting me from my thoughts. I look around, wildly. What a strange dream... I suppose a dream about a temple was bound to happen, I’ve dreamed about a dozen different locations before. “Look at me.” The voice booms again, and I finally look backwards. The hell? Arceus? I only played Emerald and barely remember the Anime! How is he so… detailed…?

I squinted intently at the floor. Usually, doing that would distort my dreams, as my focus on the details derailed the plots and exposed the lack of details. Yet… The floor, the tiles, even the pillars, they stayed there. The mosaics, the art, the cracks. Everything. “What on earth…?”

“Hello, Faller. It is good that you are more coherent now.” I scrambled back on the tiles - I can feel them digging into my palms! What the absolute frick- - in shock. Faller? That was the term used for those who fell from the Ultra Wormholes in Alola, from my memories of the Pokemon fics I had read. “Indeed. You Fell from a different universe. That appears to have been happening quite regularly; it used to occur only once a century.”

Um. Ok, so I got Isekai-d, or something… That is… Absolutely epic! I love the Pokeverse! “Woah, do I actually get to be a Trainer here?!” To my befuddlement, Arceus shook his head; That seemed… irregular, for the God-Llama.

“You can try, if you wish, though I would not recommend it. I have to cut this short, however. Certain matters require my attention. You are not the only Faller, and your unique… circumstances, should let you find the others and help them orientate themselves. There is a Beacon that all Fallers have.” Upon saying this, Arceus… vanished?

“Hey! Hey, wait! What Beacon? How do I look for it-” Perhaps I should have calmed myself instead of panicking, because the surge of information that hit me immediately overwhelmed my stressed brain. For the first time in recent memory, I blacked out.
