With a weight suddenly pressing down on her stomach, Kronii awoke from her deep slumber.
Or at least, that is what she would have liked to say, but the truth of the matter is she was already awake for quite some time, though not as awake as at this moment.
Before this, Kronii was more in something like a dazed state in which she was both asleep and conscious at the same time. Leading to her being able to feel the stirring that came from her right, where Fauna lied, yet at the same time completely missing whatever it was her love whispered to herself. And so, Kronii was only left wondering for the last few minutes what was going on with her keeper as her weird behavior continued.
For a while, the warden could feel Fauna just rummaging around on their shared bed with her weight constantly shifting from one spot to another and then back to the one before. Giving a certain impression of hesitation within her actions as it seemed to the warden that Fauna wanted to do something, but was unsure on how to go about it.
Which, as time went by, led to Kronii becoming more and more aware of everything around her as well as being able to hear better as she continued to feel her kirin almost indefinitely fidgeting around with the blanket that lay on top of them until she suddenly stopped. At which point Kronii then heard a few hushed calls that she couldn't really perceive.
Not that she needed to.
If she had to guess, she would say that it was probably just her name that Fauna called, since it was relatively short and because the sound of the kirin calling her name was something she had already deeply burned into her memory. Which meant she would be able to recognize it no matter what, even if she didn't hear it properly.
Though, despite all of this happening and knowing that Fauna called for her, Kronii remained still and didn't open her eyes, as fatigue was a constant that begged her to fall back into a deep slumber. And the warden wanted nothing more than to give into that feeling right now, because from what she could tell it was still very early in the morning, and with neither of them having anything to do today she saw no real reason to stand up.
But, all of that quickly changed when she felt the blanket being lifted from her body, and her girlfriend carefully sitting herself down on her stomach right after. Leading to her current situation in which she was both wide awake and completely confused about what was going on as two hands suddenly buried themselves under her tank top and made contact with her stomach.
All of Fauna's actions up until this point surprised Kronii if she had to be honest, since she didn't know what was going on and was convinced that her kirin was acting rather odd from her usual behavior. Not that she found any of this uncomfortable.
Instead, it was the opposite.
With Fauna being rather light in her overall weight and her soft body pressing down onto the warden, Kronii felt rather comfy with their current position. Even more so than before when the blanket still lay on top of her. But not just that, but the touching itself was also a rather pleasant experience for her, since Kronii could feel how careful and gentle Fauna was in each of her actions.
Every touch of her hands was warm and filled with a certain love as the kirin traced her fingertips along the ripples on the warden's abs and then over her side. Something that was done in a different way to what the warden usually knew of Fauna during their special nights, and yet something that felt just as good to her. Especially because Kronii could swear that she felt something akin to a flame beginning to radiate warmth from within her chest as this continued.
A feeling that she loved for both how pleasant and warm it was. And, which made it hard for her to stand up, since Kronii would have liked nothing more than just to lie there with her eyes closed as she let this whole ordeal continue to get more of this sensation.
But inside, she simply had to know what was going on with Fauna, as she couldn't help but think that this behavior was rather odd from what she knew of the keeper. Which is why she could no longer remain in her current state, despite how pleasant it was.
Opening her eyes, Kronii met the curious gaze of amber eyes that were accentuated by the dim light of the morning sun and the red cheeks of the Kirin, who sat on top of her wearing only one of the warden's button up shirts and some undergarments. A sight, which looked far too cute and lovely to the warden, so that she couldn't help but smile.
Seeing not only the infatuation but also the dorky look of the warden, Fauna could only give a shy smile in return, before affectionately greeting her blue haired love. "Good morning, honey."
Which earned her a blush in return that, sadly for her, only lasted for a few seconds, before Kronii quickly snapped out of her daydream as she felt two hands once more lightly tracing along her abs. Which then again reminded her about what she was gonna do. Greeting the kirin awkwardly back, Kronii asked what was previously on her mind. "Go- Good morning. Is everything okay, Fauna?"
After which, she also realized that her body was once again covered in many scales. Which the warden believed to be a by-product of how tired she was after she worked so hard yesterday. In fact, Kronii was sure that it stood in connection with yesterday, as it was when she wanted to lift herself up to be on the same eye level as Fauna that she felt every single part of her body cry out in pain from that same exhaustion. Which was also quickly reflected in her expression turning sour as her face was distorted by how much her body was hurting all over.
A fact that didn't go unnoticed by her love, who quickly but carefully pushed Kronii back down onto the bed, before replying hastily to the warden's question. "Yes, I'm fine, but you clearly aren't, so would you please stop moving." The panic and worry within the keeper's voice were clear for Kronii to hear and so, she complied albeit a bit hesitant.
With the knowledge of Fauna at least being alright, Kronii was somewhat relieved. But, still not really knowing what was going on with her girlfriend nor knowing how to continue from their current point onwards, the warden was still confused and full of questions. Which is why she decided to ask something else as she laid herself back into a more comfortable position. "Is there a reason for what you are currently doing?"
This earned her an absent minded hum from Fauna. "I simply wanted to make you feel good." The keeper answered softly while she was deeply concentrating on every motion of her hand. "You did so much yesterday and tired yourself out once again. Which is why I tried the whole day to think of something as a reward and this is what I came up with." Fauna explained, before halting her actions as she pulled her hands slightly away from Kronii. "Shou-… should I stop? Is it uncomfortable?"
Immediately, the warden kicked herself inside, she definitely should have worded her question better. Kronii could clearly see from Fauna's expression that the keeper was saddened at the thought that she might have overstepped her bounds or that she was making her feel uncomfortable, and so the warden felt like she quickly had to act.
"No, no, no, don't worry it felt really nice and warm. It's just…" Bursted the blue haired woman out as she started to panic, before she halted for a moment. Her head swayed to the side as she tried to hide her oncoming embarrassment while coughing into her hand, before she then continued with a lower tone in her voice. "I was kinda overwhelmed and thought that something might be wrong, since I didn't see any reason for this. And… I might have also thought you were angry or something."
Hearing this, only a chuckle escaped the keeper. "Really," She started as her expression softened, before she continued. "You never change with how you constantly overthink everything."
A gleeful smile formed on her lips from how happy she was to know that Kronii enjoyed what she did. "But, that is also why I love you so much. So please, now that your worries have been taken care of, just relax and let me do you a favor, alright?" She finished, tilting her head to the side afterwards.
"But, I still don't see a reas-"
"Kronii!" The keeper loudly interrupted as she frowned, her face fully displaying her dissatisfaction for Kronii's try to deny her caringness which was then also reflected in her voice when she continued. "What do you mean there is no reason for this? Have you forgotten how just a minute ago your whole body was in pain? I'm not blind to your info. Or…" She halted shortly in, her lips falling as her eyes were suddenly covered in a gust of sadness, before she spoke further with a tone of disappointment in her voice. "... were your words that this feels good to you just a lie?"
Kronii was well aware that she was being played with by Fauna right now. She knew that all of this was just Fauna faking it.
And yet, despite knowing that, she couldn't risk staying defiant to her girlfriend's pampering, because she feared that Fauna might not be acting and was actually sad. And that was something Kronii couldn't let happen under any circumstances, as she liked it far more for her love to be happy. So, she relented quietly and softly after sighing to herself. "No, they weren't. I… I really loved what you did. So, would you please continue."
In a way, she hated that the kirin knew exactly what she had to do to make the warden accept her pampering. More than anything she wanted to pay Fauna back for abusing her weak mind state, but at the same time, Kronii didn't mind anymore, which was mostly because she loved to see how happy her kirin got when she gave in.
The keeper was well aware of what went through the warden's mind, which is why she tried to sweeten her mood by kissing her.
Carefully, Fauna leaned forward over her love's body, placing one hand gently on the warden's abdomen to keep herself above her while she used the other one to push her hair aside. After which, she captured Kronii's lips with her own. Swiftly yet carefully, she asked for entrance to the blue haired woman's mouth by pressing her tongue first against Kronii's lips and then her teeth as she pushed further.
And the warden naturally didn't hesitate in opening her mouth to welcome the kirin's tongue with her own. Faintly, she could feel Fauna dipping her tongue into her mouth only to then leave it there as she didn't move at all. Something that at first stirred some confusion in the blue haired woman, before she finally realized that Fauna was giving her the control in this kiss.
A welcome surprise for Kronii, who immediately took the initiative to wiggle the keeper's tongue into a gentle and slow dance for the both of them in which she guided Fauna's tongue along. Before, tenderly pushing her tongue into her love's mouth, so she could fully explore it, but not to please herself. Rather, right now, Kronii wanted to use every chance she had to give Fauna as much love as she could, before she then had to simply lie there as Fauna did whatever she thought would feel good to the blue haired woman. After all, that was the only thing the warden could do for now with her body in its current state and she wanted to fully use this moment to repay the favor she was about to receive.
Licking over each and every corner of the keeper's mouth, the warden searched for ways to give Fauna the best experience possible. Taking care to almost caress everything in her love's mouth from the kirin's teeth to her tongue, Kronii wanted Fauna to let her mind drift a little as she poured all her love into the keeper.
And Fauna felt overjoyed at this, she loved every second of this experience for how warm and pleasant it felt. In a way, she couldn't believe how good Kronii was in making her feel so good with just her tongue, and yet she had the proof right here.
With her mind slowly beginning to drift more and more as this went on, she took great care to not lose herself entirely in the fluffy feelings of her head, since the keeper still wanted to give her warden something in return. But, losing herself a little in it wouldn't hurt, she argued to herself.
And so, the kiss went on like this for a short while, with Kronii and Fauna simply reciprocating the other's feelings. Until the keeper thought it was enough for Kronii to not feel bad about their whole ordeal anymore at which point she pulled slowly away.
Though, that wasn't the only reason for her wanting to pull away. Most of all the kiss was just so good to her that she felt like she needed to stop now. Or else if they were to continue for longer Fauna would slowly be drifting off into a different direction than she wanted to. And that was something the green haired woman couldn't let happen.
At least, not for now.
Later on though... , she thought for a moment, before shaking her head and clapping both of her hands on her cheeks to get back on track. After which she noticed the worried gaze of her love that she answered quickly with a giggle. "I see your expression, but don't worry. I just had to push certain thoughts away. Anyway, all is good now so please relax."
And just as quickly as she said this, Fauna swiftly received a confirmative hum from Kronii, who shortly after did as she was told. The keeper was honestly surprised by this sudden compliance of the warden. She had expected to still see some kind of refusal, but then again maybe Kronii was simply happy to know that the kiss felt as pleasant to the keeper as it did to her, Fauna concluded.
And with that thought now finished, Fauna couldn't wait to start.
A gentle and happy smile graced her lips as she slowly pushed Kronii's tank top upwards all the way to her chest with one hand, admiring the sight of Kronii's body for a few seconds, before gliding her other hand tenderly down her arm until she had reached the warden's hand. Carefully, Fauna then took Kronii's hand in her own and guided it in front of her face. Massaging it for a bit, the keeper simply felt everything there was to her love's hand.
The first thing that she would always note mentally when doing so was the general roughness and cold of it. Two things that might have felt unpleasant to most people, but that filled the kirin with warmth. Because Fauna could only see the roughness as a testament of the warden's hard working nature.
A nature the keeper appreciated with every bit of her being, since she knew the amount of dedication Kronii put into everything she did. A dedication that oftentimes was so passionate that the warden forgot to take care of herself, leading to the state of her hands.
And yet, the rough feeling of her hand was even more than that to Fauna, as it was to her also a representation of the warden herself.
"A rough and cold exterior that deep beneath it all was soft and comforting." Those are the words she would always choose if she had to describe Kronii in the simplest of ways.
Words, which were in her opinion not enough to truly describe all of her love, but that were enough for everyone to understand who her warden truly was if they took the time to know her better.
A fact which also rang true to her hands, as when Fauna took her time and felt them closer, she always could find some spots that were both soft and warm with the aforementioned comfort coming from all the memories that came to her when she thought about how these big hands of her love often gently held her close. Or when she saw some of the wounds or scars on it.
She knew though, that this last part would only really be true to her, because there would be no one else but the keeper, who would both be able to appreciate all the cuts on the warden's fingers as well as know where they actually came from. And if she had to pick an example, she would take the three cuts along the warden's ring, middle and index finger that together formed a long scar, as this cut was from when Kronii tried to cook for her while she was sick. The resulting memory being an event that might have been a failure to the warden, but that was one of the sweetest gestures to the kirin.
And the list only went on if she looked closer. Honestly, now that she thought about it, there were simply no words to express all she wanted to say to Kronii at times. Which is why she came up with this idea in the first place, as she wanted to show it to her in some way.
Taking her love's hand with both of hers, Fauna cupped her own cheek with it as she caressed it tenderly while pressing herself closer.
For a moment she dwelled in the warmth this action brought to her, before then moving her love's hand again in front of her. Kissing at first the palm of Kronii's hand, she then moved on to each of her fingers to kiss them too, before placing another one on the back of her hand. All while she watched the warden's smile soften and slowly but surely bloom into a crimson red when she continued.
Nuzzling her cheek against her love's hand, a last kiss was then given on to Kronii's wrist, before Fauna gently placed it back down on the bed. After which, she flashed the warden an almost angelic smile, before the kirin started leading both of her hands across her love's body again.
This time around, the motion itself was done in a way with which the keeper tried to ingrain everything of the warden's body into her mind while making sure that Kronii felt as good as she possibly could. It didn't matter to her what it was that she felt while doing so, be it a wound, a curve, a scar, a scale or the general feeling of Kronii's skin, all of it was to Fauna something she wanted to burn into her mind over and over again. And she did so by tenderly tracing over each and every spot she came across. Only ever holding at certain places, which she then carefully caressed, before moving on to the next spot, where she did the same or simply drew patterns.
Fauna gave each and every action of hers the utmost attention she could as everything the kirin did was solely focused on making her love feel good and comfortable. And to ensure that, she observed every motion of her warden, each squirm, breath, sound and expression was taken into consideration when she moved her hands.
Every single detail of these things was immediately taken into account and noted as she contemplated on how to move forward, with her actions growing slower or faster depending on when she felt that Kronii was uncomfortable. But, not just that but she also noted everything that showed that the warden had a good time and even concentrated on those specific actions, like tracing lovingly over her scales, as she could see and feel how happy the warden got each time she did.
And it worked.
Kronii really felt like she was in heaven thanks to every single action of the kirin. For the warden, every touch and motion of the keeper's hands made her feel like her whole body all of a sudden got lighter. It was as if the keeper's hands managed to strip the warden's exhaustion away like they were thin threads that lay on her body.
The warmth of Fauna's hands in particular was only a nice bonus on top of it, as it was such a nice contrast to her normally cold body temperature that it almost felt like Fauna's touches were covering her in a blanket of comfort each time they ran along her skin. It was a warmth she could lose herself in if she wasn't already losing herself in all the love and comfort she got from her girlfriend. Especially, since she could feel the flame from before growing within her chest while it filled her whole body with both this fluffy feeling and just a general feeling of appreciation. An appreciation that almost brought the warden to tears for how happy it made her.
And all of this only got better with time as she continued to be entranced by the sight of Fauna, who was in her eyes like an angel.
No, those weren't the right words to describe what she saw, she thought.
Fauna was like a goddess to her and even more than that. Truly, words couldn't describe what she felt to her as she saw how deeply dedicated Fauna was to make her feel good. The pure sight of Fauna's eyes was enough to show the warden that her love was focused on her and only her. And not just that, but Kronii could feel from every action the keeper took that Fauna was trying to thank her for everything she did. And this filled Kronii's heart with so much happiness and warmth that she couldn't repress her feelings anymore and began crying.
An action that immediately ripped Fauna from everything she did as the kirin started to worry that she might have done something that made the warden sad. "Kronii." Fauna quickly called out concerned as she gently cupped her cheek with one hand and wiped some tears away with her thumb. "Is everything alright? Did I do something wrong?" She asked while every question of hers bore the slowly growing panic within her. A panic that grew so strong that it was enough to make Fauna want to stand up and stop all of her actions as she believed she had done something wrong.
But, just before she really could, Kronii stopped Fauna in her tracks by holding onto one of her arms. A weak chuckle escaped her in between the tears that streamed down her face which the warden wiped away with her other arm as she answered quickly, trying to explain to her love why she was crying. "I'm sorry. I-"
Those were the only words Kronii managed to speak, before Fauna hastily interrupted her mid-sentence, still trying to pull away. "Don't be sorry. It's my fault that you are not feel- Mmmh?!"
And just like that, Kronii interrupted the kiri as she sprang up from her lying position and quickly planted her lips on the keeper's. The pain and exhaustion from earlier being just a distant reminder in all of this that wouldn't stop her from calming her love as this was all she could focus on.
The kiss itself was gentle as the warden didn't force herself on the panicked keeper and rather just waited for Fauna to relax and melt into it by herself. Calmly, she winded her arms around the kirin's hips as she patiently waited, taking care to pay attention to every motion or sound of her love. All so, she could make sure that Fauna had the time to calm down and wasn't uncomfortable.
Kronii knew very well that her words couldn't reach Fauna right now, as she was far too caught up in her thoughts as that she would listen to her. So, all she could do instead was to use her actions to convey to her love that it was fine while not pressuring her, since she was sure that this would only lead to Fauna becoming more panicked and distressed.
Continuing to lightly hold the keeper as she kissed her, the warden noticed that Fauna was no longer trying to run from her and that she even gave in to the kiss, albeit a bit hesitant. And so, Kronii thought that it was enough for now and slowly pulled away from the kiss, before guiding the keeper's head to her chest as she let herself fall backwards into their pillow. Gently, the warden then began rubbing with one hand along the keeper's back while ushering quietly small compliments to Fauna and telling her that it was fine.
Making sure that her love was calm enough to listen, Kronii then slowly winded one of her hands through Fauna's hair when she spoke up with a soft tone in her voice so as to not perturb Fauna. "You know, you always tell me that I worry too much, but you aren't that much different." Kronii wanted to say more right now, but she noticed the kirin didn't react.
It didn't take long for her to figure out why that was though, as she realized that despite having calmed down, Fauna was still caught within her own thoughts. Which is also why Kronii would try again to reach her, but in a different way.
"Hey, Fauna." She began as she calmly called out to the kirin, before waiting for an answer, which after a while she received in the form of an absent minded hum.
Despite how little the keeper seemed to be aware of her surroundings, Kronii was satisfied with that answer, as it at least meant that she was somewhat listening to her. And that was all she needed. Pulling the kirin closer into her chest, Kronii brought Fauna's ear as close to her heart as she could, before asking in a loving tone. "Do you hear the sound of my heartbeat?"
A question, that despite Fauna's inner turmoil, managed to somewhat come through to her. Curious as to what Kronii meant, Fauna listened closely to the warden's heart. And the first thing the kirin noted was the almost serene rhythmic beats it made. A sound that as Fauna continued to listen closer, started to feel like a sweet melody that gradually managed to draw her in as it began to calm her storm of thoughts. In fact, it was such a wonderful and calming tune to her that it even managed to nearly lull her to sleep.
The only reason it didn't was the warden herself, who spoke up shortly after she noticed that her love had finally calmed down. "You wanna know why it beats this way?" Kronii asked in a low voice, before immediately continuing. "It is because of you. Everything you did made me just so happy that I couldn't help but cry as that happiness spilled over. As embarrassing as it is to admit that. So, you don't have to beat yourself up over it."
Fauna was speechless after hearing this. She couldn't believe that for once their roles were reversed like this with Kronii cheering her up, and yet she didn't dislike it. She was kinda happy to know for once how it was to be in Kronii's position, especially because of all the warmth and comfort her blue haired love gave her. This understanding side of her was just so sweet and lovely, the keeper thought.
Endlessly, Fauna tried to find some words to give to her love in appreciation of her actions, but quickly she realized there were no words to express the things she felt. Which is why she decided to simply nestle herself more into the frame of her girlfriend's body as she quietly apologized for ruining their moment. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be. I would have reacted the same way." Kronii calmly replied, as she lifted Fauna's chin, before giving her a short but sweet kiss on the lips. "I really loved what you were doing. So, if you wanna continue, we can. But, there would be a small condition from me if we do."
Hearing this, Fauna could only smile, she saw that her love didn't want her to be still saddened by what she did. And so, the keeper decided to give it her best to stop dwelling on the topic as a whole.
Having made up her resolve though, she couldn't help but wonder what the condition of Kronii would be, if they were to continue. Making a curious hum, Fauna looked up to her girlfriend and urged her to explain.
Which, the warden seconds later did. "Please don't force yourself too much to do things you don't want to. I bet my scales and some of my scars aren't that pleasant to touch, so you can stop touc-..." Kronii halted in her explanation. The moment she saw Fauna's smile fall, she couldn't speak anymore, as worry over the well being of her keeper made itself known within her. "Is.. is something wrong, Fauna?"
And her worries weren't without reason, as Fauna was both sad and mad. Sad that her girlfriend believed she was forcing herself. And mad that she thought that there was anything she found even remotely unpleasant at her. In a silent anger, she spoke the warden's name while her eyes narrowed on her love. "Kronii," Before, her tone then changed to a milder one that still held a bit of the anger from before as she moved back into a sitting position and shook her head. "I won't stop with that."
"Bu-" Kronii quickly tried to retort, but was immediately interrupted by a finger on her lips.
"Don't. Let me finish first, okay?" Spoke Fauna. Her eyes almost glaring at the warden, which led to Kronii simply nodding as she feared to do anything else.
After which, Fauna's expression softened to a smile with her tone following as it changed to a far more loving one while holding only a little of the scolding premise from before when she spoke up again. "Kronii, you know very well that I don't just love you for how gorgeous you look or all your good sides and how perfect you are. I love everything about you. Every mistake you make, every flaw and imperfection you have. And yes even every wound, scar or scale that you have. And do you know why? It's because all of these things are a part of you. Especially the things you might deem as unsightly are for me a representation of all of your hard work. They are a reflection of your achievements and I want to appreciate all of that, because I love you. And personally if you ask me I find your scales cute and think they feel pleasant. But, I already know you won't believe me. So, I will just have to show you that I mean it." As Fauna finished, she moved a bit back to sit on the warden's legs, before leaning downward.
With her head now hovering over the warden's stomach, she moved her lips to a spot with a scar and started to kiss every wound, scar and scale she could find one by one. Every kiss she gave was light, warm and filled with all the love she had for her warden. Not a single one was done in haste and only very short breaks were taken every four kisses as she wanted to watch Kronii's reaction.
Right now, Fauna wanted to really show that she meant what she said and that she didn't regret doing any of this, which is why the kirin decided that she would take her time. Though, she couldn't deny that this new sight she got to see of the warden didn't also play a big part in it, as she found it even more beautiful than anything she knew of her until today.
The keeper couldn't explain how happy it made her to see her love's smile rise more and more with each kiss she did as her blush slowly changed from a light pink that was barely visible to a bright crimson red that made her almost look like a tomato.
It just was such a lovely sight to the keeper that she continued leaving small kisses on Kronii's stomach even after she was technically done with what she set out to do. All, so she could get more of it and see if there was a limit to how red her love could get and the brightness of her smile.
Which, quickly earned the keeper an embarrassed stammering from her girlfriend, who could no longer stay quiet. "Fauna please, isn't this enough. I understand that you really mean it, so would you please stop already."
A mischievous smile was given to the warden as Fauna looked up to face her love, before replying happily. "But, I don't wanna." After which, she began to leisurely draw circles with her finger on the warden's stomach as she spoke further. "After all, you seem so happy when I do this, that I would find it a shame to stop now. Also, you were the one who said we could continue if I wanted to." Placing another kiss on her love's abdomen as she finished, Fauna earned a sound from the warden that she could only describe as a disgruntled yet happy whine as Kronii hid her face behind her arms. Another sight of the warden that Fauna found far too cute, leaving her only wondering how far she could push this whole idea, before her love would try to escape.
Chuckling to herself at the thought of what could happen, Fauna realized that it maybe wasn't such a good idea to push her love too much, which is why she wanted to give a little into the warden's request, so her girlfriend wouldn't combust herself right here and now. Stopping her onslaught of kisses for the moment, Fauna scooted a little forward as she took both of Kronii's arms into her hand to push them away and get a glimpse of her face. Only for Fauna to notice that the warden proved rather defiant against her.
"Aww, my love, don't be so shy." Fauna called sweetly while continuing to carefully pry the warden's arms away from her face without success. Multiple times she tried afterwards, but there never seemed to be any progress in what she was doing as Kronii continued to resist.
For a moment, the keeper contemplated on how to go about this, as she feared that pushing further would anger her girlfriend and so she thought about giving up as a whole. But, exactly when she was about to give up, Kronii slightly let her defense down as she took a peek through her arms. And in that instant Fauna tried once more, leading to her successfully removing the warden's arms from her face.
The sight she was greeted with afterwards was wonderful to her as she couldn't help herself but fawn over how meek and embarrassed Kronii looked. Her whole heart soared as she came to face with this expression and the thought of wanting to kiss her made itself known within her. On which she then immediately acted as she leaned in for another short kiss on Kronii's lips.
Or at least, that is what she tried to do. But, the second Fauna leaned in, she was surprised by Kronii quickly grabbing both of her arms and pulling her body towards her in a single motion. Barely a second later, the warden turned with the keeper in her arms onto her side, where she then threw both her legs and arms around her love's body, so she wouldn't be able to escape.
Kronii then followed all of this up by simply throwing her head into her girlfriend's neck as she took a swift sniff of the kirin's fragrance, before placing several small kisses along her neck. Which, in turn made Fauna let out a loud yelp, as she started to blush just as much as Kronii.
"Why so embarrassed all of a sudden, huh? Can't handle your own medicine?" Asked Kronii in a confident tone while trying not to lose to her own embarrassment.
Having the keeper in her arms full on blushing like this though, Kronii quickly forgot all about her own embarrassment as she instead reveled in the cuteness of her girlfriend. Not to mention that she also was just far too happy about finally having found an opportunity to turn the tables around, after she searched for one the whole past few minutes. But, despite having turned the situation around, the warden had to admit, now that she thought about it, she didn't really know how to proceed from here on. So, she simply decided to let her mind drift for a little as she just did what she thought was right.
Beginning by undoing the top two buttons of the shirt Fauna was wearing, Kronii tenderly placed one long kiss after the other above the keeper's chest and then along her shoulders as she dwelled within the comfortable warmth of her love's body, before moving on to her neck and throat.
Not once did Kronii stop in her actions even when Fauna pleaded in her embarrassment for her to stop many times, as the warden simply tried to repay the favor from her love. She knew she didn't have to and that the keeper would tell her so as well, but she wanted to do it, because she wanted to express just how happy Fauna made her with what she did. Her heart was basically overflowing with love and appreciation the whole time and so, she was happy to finally be able to release it.
Continuing her slow kissing spree, Kronii tenderly began tracing with one hand along Fauna's arm until she reached her hand. As the warden took Fauna's hand in her own and brought it closer to her face she noted, like always, how small it was in comparison to her own and also how smooth her skin overall was. It was so soft and squishy that Kronii played for a moment with the thought of potentially pinching the kirin, before quickly discarding it as she didn't want to anger her girlfriend. Instead though, she would nestle against the kirin's hand, before placing a kiss on it. After which, Kronii then intertwined Fauna's hand with her own, before leaning her head against the keeper's as a smile formed on her face. Lovingly, she cupped the kirin's cheek as she began to speak in one of the softest tones yet. "Thank you, Fauna. I really love you a lot."
This caught the keeper completely off guard at first, as she was far too caught up within her own embarrassment and the pleasant feelings of Kronii's actions that she didn't even think about why Kronii was doing all of this. But, when she did, she quickly realized that this was Kronii's way of showing both her appreciation and thankfulness for what the keeper did. And realizing this, Fauna could only smile as she swiftly reciprocated the warden's feeling with a "I love you too.".
This small exchange of words was fully enough at this point for both of them, leading to both eventually lying side by side with nothing really going on as they simply smiled at the other affectionately. For others, it might have been a silence with nothing going on, but for them it was a comfortable silence, as they just liked to enjoy the warmth of the other's body while sharing their happiness of being together with their partner.
And yet, despite liking this silence, there was still something on Fauna's mind that she couldn't just leave like this. Placing her free hand near the waist of the warden, Fauna quickly but carefully slipped it under her love's tank top. Slowly, she led her hand along Kronii's abs, caressing them for a small bit, before moving higher until she had reached her chest.
Arriving there with her hand, she was immediately confronted by Kronii giving her a questioning stare that asked her what she was doing, which Fauna quickly answered by leaning in for a slow and long drawn out kiss to show her love that all is fine and to just enjoy it.
With Kronii accepting her offer as she gave into the kiss, Fauna continued her search for what she was looking for as she moved her hand slowly between the space of Kronii's breasts. Carefully and tenderly, she traced her hands over the spot multiple times while trying to find something. Only for her to notice that what she was looking for wasn't there anymore.
Feeling a bit disheartened at this discovery, Fauna hid her sadness for now as she told herself that there was still one spot left. Moving her hand downwards a bit while continuing the kiss with Kronii, Fauna glid her hands over her love's sides and led them along her back until she had reached the opposite side from before. Where, she then repeated her prior actions as she at the same time pulled slowly away from the kiss. And once again she didn't find anything.
In seconds, Fauna's smile faded as it was instead replaced with a frown, her sadness over not having found what she was looking for overtook her and all the keeper felt like doing was to throw her head into the warden's chest as she sought for some comfort.
An action, that the warden immediately took notice of and which, due to its bad timing, led Kronii to believe that she might have done something to cause her love's sullen state. Causing the warden immediately to pull Fauna closer as she spoke up with a worried tone in her voice. "Something the matter, my love? Did I do something wrong?"
"Huh?" was the first thing that left Fauna's mouth as she wondered what Kronii meant, before she realized how her actions could be perceived. Immediately, the kirin's head shot up to face the warden as she quickly denied her question to stop Kronii from worrying any further. "Oh! No, no, no. You did nothing wrong. Really. It's just..." Fauna halted for a moment, dwelling on the matter, before continuing. "...I kinda thought how sad it is that some of your scars will disappear over time, like they were never there to begin with." She finished, her tone filled with sadness over the fact.
"Why would you be sad about that?" Asked Kronii quickly, before thinking a little about Fauna's actions during the kiss, which was enough for her to realize what it was that Fauna was sad about. "Is it because the scars of our first meeting are gone from the time when you rammed your antlers through my chest?" Seeing that Fauna wouldn't give her an answer, as she was lost in her thoughts, Kronii knew she needed to act quickly. "If so, that's pretty morbid, you know?" Kronii added, chuckling to herself for a moment as she tried to direct Fauna's thoughts away from whatever unpleasant things she was dwelling on.
And it seemed to work, as Fauna replied to her in a shocked tone. "What do you mean?"
At which point, the warden didn't just continue for the keeper's sake, but also because of her appalled face that was far too lovely of a sight to the warden. "I mean, am I wrong? Who would like a memory of stabbing their partner?"
A huff from Fauna immediately followed the warden's answer, she didn't want to take this lying down and countered accordingly. "If you wanna talk about morbid then remember me, who broke my antler off and kept it until this day?"
But, the warden stayed unfazed as she kept on fawning inside her head over how cute the keeper's angry face was while simply replying. "Hey, you stabbed me without reason. I was justified in breaking it. And well as for keeping, it looked pretty and it reminds me of you when you aren't there." Despite trying to be mean, Kronii couldn't bring herself to lie at that last part, as she loved Fauna so much that she just had to tell her love the truth and compliment her along the way.
And, if not for that off handed comment at the beginning, Fauna would have definitely blushed or even shown a smile right then and there, but as Kronii claimed something the keeper thought was not true, she could only retort. "What do you mean "no reason"? You were very mean to me back then."
"Ah, so that means you can just stab people, because they were mean to you?" Threw Kronii simply back at her.
A second later, the warden could see that the keeper was struggling to find anything to counter with this time around, which quickly led to Fauna pouting as she threw her head once again into the warden's chest. An endearing sight to the warden that she would have liked to watch for a bit more, if it wasn't for the fact that she didn't want to leave the keeper in a bad mood as she could see that her love was once again going back to the sad thoughts from before.
Kronii knew very well what it was that really bothered Fauna. After all, it wouldn't be the first time that her love was so focused on this scar in particular or certain other ones. Which is why, now that she had collected the right words to speak, Kronii would try her best to better her love's mood.
Slowly, Kronii weaved her hands through Fauna's hair as her tone was much calmer than before when she spoke. "Don't worry. I know what you mean when you say you worry about my scars disappearing. You are afraid that I might forget you one day when all of them are gone and you aren't around anymore, isn't that right?"
Receiving a weak nod in return, Kronii pulled the keeper closer to her chest as she cradled her love in her arms and closed her eyes. Kronii's voice this time around was filled with all the gentleness she could muster as she placed her chin on the keeper's head. "You don't have to worry about that. I guarantee you, no matter how much time might pass, I will never forget you, as I love every second I spend with you far too much and think that our time together is irreplaceable to me."
And even though Fauna could hear both the sincerity and love in the warden's tone, she needed to ask something that was still on her mind. "Does that also mean you don't ever regret meeting me?" The keeper didn't mean to doubt Kronii, but with some of her insecurities managing to slip out as she finally opened up, she couldn't help it.
The warden wasn't mad at her, despite this as she simply answered. "Naturally. How would you ever come up with the idea that I would regret meeting you?"
Hearing this, Fauna was partially relieved yet hesitant, she didn't know how to explain to her love the reason why she thought so, as she feared that the warden might blame herself or get angry. And yet, she also felt like it was far too late to stop now. So, with a shaking breath, heavy words and a meek tone she spoke. "I know very well that you often do things without my knowledge. I, more than anyone else, know your body the best and I notice each and every new scar or wound you get, no matter how small they are. So, I also know that, for my sake, you are getting hurt behind my back. And no one would..."
Fauna didn't finish that sentence, as speaking those words openly was almost like they were about to come true and this was a horror that she didn't want. Afraid of whatever Kronii might respond with, Fauna simply closed her eyes as she hugged herself.
And seeing all of this happen, Kronii couldn't believe that she failed so hard to hide what she was doing in secret. And that her failing to hide it ended up making her love worry or rather become so filled with fear because of it. Truly, for her this sight of her girlfriend almost managed to crush her heart. The sentiment of kicking herself was honestly just furthered by these things and she would have liked nothing more than to kick or punch herself for this right now as the warden couldn't forgive herself. But, since Fauna was deeply worried and panicked, she decided it could wait until later. For now, it was more important to make things right, as her heart couldn't bear the sight of her love like this for any longer.
"Come here." was the first thing Kronii said as she spoke in a low voice while pulling the keeper once more close to her body as she leaned her head against Fauna's, before gently cupping her cheek. Caressing it with her thumb, Kronii spoke up again as her tone was like a calm breeze to the keeper that gently encompassed her in the love of the warden's every word. "You don't have to worry about it so much. After all, I do these things not because I have to. But, because I want to, as I would like to expand the time we have with each other for as long as possible. Because, like I told you just a few seconds ago, I find the time I spend with you to be the one thing that is most precious to me."
Knowing though this wasn't enough to convince her love the warden stopped shortly as she brought her other arm up to show Fauna a scar on it, before continuing. "And sure, I get hurt like this while doing so and that very often at times, but believe me when I say that I never have thought to blame or hate you, because of it. I won't lie and pretend that they don't hurt. They hurt, some even hurt like hell. But, never was this anything that bothered me for long. And you wanna know why that is?" Kronii asked gently and received a weak nod from Fauna in return.
"It's because whenever I see you smile or simply have you being next to me, the pain of it all just fades into the background and immediately I know once again that it was worth it. So, I don't mind. And, if this is still not enough to believe me, then let me ask you. Would I kiss you like this if I regret meeting you?" A second later, Kronii slowly leaned forward to capture Fauna's lips in a single motion, before tenderly pushing her tongue into the keeper's mouth as she searched for Fauna's. And once she found it, she lovingly wrapped her own tongue around it, leading to a kiss that went on for a quite awhile with Kronii pouring every bit of love she had into the kiss while Fauna happily received it.
Bathing in the feelings of this action as well as the words Kronii spoke, Fauna fully understood now that every word of her love was nothing but the truth. So, when they separated and Fauna could feel herself slowly fall asleep, since she had become quite tired, the keeper quickly spoke the words she wanted to say the most right now as she leaned into the warden's neck. "I love you so much. So, please stay with me for all eternity."
And just before she fell asleep she heard Kronii lovingly respond. "Gladly." Which made her so happy that she began to smile as she drifted off to the dream world.
Kronii, noticing that her love fell asleep right then, simply pulled the keeper into another embrace before gently laying the blanket back on top of them. A last kiss was then given on to Fauna's cheek, before she joined her.
