Chapter Text
“You’re in my shot!” A pipe comes down hard enough to kill over the alien's head as a raven-haired male with ice-blue eyes takes a few breaths before placing the pipe over his shoulder. It hooks onto his camera cord as he lines up his shot once again towards the portal that had opened up above the city and snaps a few shots. Screams ring out and Kaylub goes rushing toward the sound, finding no other than Ironman already there taking down the aliens. Kaylub raises his camera to take a shot only for the Iron hero to go flying off.
“Every damn time!” He curses as he pulls out the pipe again taking swings and jabs at the aliens that dared to go after the retreating humans. Why am I doing their job?
“Duck!” Kaylub does so as a familiar shield goes flying over his head. He pops up and instantly has his camera in hand snapping shots at the fighting duo of Black Widow and Captain America taking down enemies and even gets a rare shot of Black Widow bouncing off the hero's shield onto one of the aliens flying contraptions. Deciding he’s gotten enough shots of the two he goes running towards the tower to hopefully catch a few pics of the cause of all this mayhem.
He wields his pipe, which he picked up from a ruined building, with the skill of a trained fighter… despite honestly just picking it up. He enters Stark Tower and goes into the elevator pressing the button for the penthouse.
“I’m sorry, but unknown personnel are not allowed to enter the penthouse.”
“Oh, come on it’s just a few pics of the big bad. I saw Stark flying in so there’s obviously something good going on.” There was a long moment of silence.
“Fine, I'll take the stairs.” The doors wouldn’t open. “Hey, open up!”
“Sorry, for your own safety you will be staying here till the problem has been solved.” The pout was evident as Kaylub crossed his arms and looked around the elevator. Lucky for him there was an emergency hatch at the top. His smile was that of pure evil as he jumped up and managed to grab the latch and open it with the momentum he was using. He climbs up and out before scaling the elevator shaft reaching the penthouse level. Using his pipe he pries the doors open and sees that Stark is gone.
“Dammit I missed him again,” he then notices a crater and a flourish of green. Maybe I just got the next best thing~ He walks over and takes a picture of the downed bad guy. “You have a name?” Crystal blue met ice blue and it was a long moment of silence between the two before Kaylub sat on the stairs by the fallen foe. He pulls out a small flip notebook. “I’m mostly just photos and the occasional drawing, but I could take notes.”
“Loki,” came from the raven on the ground.
“Really… you’re the one the news is blabbering about. Interesting. Care to smile for the camera?” He has his camera back up but the sound of a certain green giant has Kaylub bouncing back and seeing the entire group… Avengers was it? …There with weapons trained on the god on the ground. “Stay still.” Kaylub snaps a shot of the scene and smiles as he finally gets a picture of Ironman.
Hours later Kaylub is sitting in an interrogation room with his camera still on him. They had tried to take it from him, but he ended up taking down four of the highly trained S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and Clint as well who had tried only to be flipped with one of his own arrows dangerously close to his head.
“How did you get into the penthouse?”
“Climbed the elevator shaft when your A.I. wouldn’t let me leave the elevator.” Everyone in the room blinked. It was Ironman, Captain America, Black Widow, and Nick Fury all standing in the small room opposite the small, raven-haired male with ice-blue eyes and pale skin.
“What’s your goal?”
“To take more photos than Paul and get that promotion.” Tony was really glad he had his faceplate down so no one could see that he was biting his lip from laughing.
“What were you discussing with Loki?”
“If he’d smile for the photo. Getting a good picture of the “big bad” would be huge and the fact that he’d been knocked down a peg was a perfect shot.” Tony was really trying but this kid was too much. Luckily he could mute his suit. The others didn’t find this funny, but Kaylub was being nothing but honest. “Can I go now? I have to finalize the photos I’m going to us- his eyes are green!” This startled some of the others as Kaylub had taken to looking at his photos instead of conversing with the people in front of him.
“What?”
“Loki’s eyes are green in my last shot… but blue in my earlier shots.” He shows the four in the room what he meant without giving them his camera.
“Maybe it’s something with your-” A pen embeds itself into the wall next to Cap’s head, shocking the man from ice.
“Don’t insult my camera. I know what I took a photo of and his eyes changed.” Asgardian contacts? That would be interesting. Fury looked deep in thought before stepping closer to the camera-wielding male.
“I have a proposition for you,” Kaylub looked up from his camera with a raised brow. “Join the Avengers, become a hero.”
“And if I refuse?”
“You’ll never see the light of day again.”
“Is this blackmail?”
“Take it as you wish.”
“Fine, I’ll be a hero, but I’m a paparazzi photographer first.” Fury gave a smile that didn’t reach his eyes and the two shook hands.
“You need a name.” Everyone looks at Tony as they were all at the tower. Kaylub was the one with the highest brow.
“How about no free will?” Tony rolled his eyes as the others were unamused.
“Photo Finish since you always have that camera on you. That’s your hero name, Flash.”
“Do I have a choice?”
“Nope, camera boy.” A glare was all he received as the others just watched.
