the strix knew the best way to hurt elijah while he was alive was to kill you, since your and klaus link with sired line was broken you had a target on you head and you knew it. Still as enemies came for Klaus everyone including you were focusing on that. Why focus on you? You had not many enemies. You were a good original. Little you knew that the strix wanted to avenge Tristan’s and aya’s deaths and as they could not kill their siyer elijah you were the best target especially as many of the strix were your sirer but since the link had been broken who cared.
You were out taking ingredients for your spell to search for klaus enemies. You did not know that the white oak was taken by Lucien and that the strix had made a pact with him, convincing Lucien that elijah’s punishment would be yours and Klaus death. Lucien did not mean to keep the promise to the strix, wanting also Elijah dead, but he wanted to test his venom and so you were going to be his test while using you to become a stronger original
The strix had taken you by surprise, taking away your heart to temporally kill you it had pumped you up full of vervain and put the chains that prevented you from making magic. Then they had dumped you in lucien’s car with the vervain slowing your recovering process.
As soon as you did not answer your phone, Elijah went paranoid searching for you and giving orders until Davina showed him the video vincent had left.
‘Lucien has taken y/n. Vincent sent a video he is with them. they want to use her blood and magic to make lucien a new better original’ Elijah was explaining to Klaus on the phone, who replied that he too was following Lucien trail on werewolves. Elijah did not take that well
‘my wife is missing, your sister-in-law is missing. you are coming back right now to help us find her! am I clear nikalus?’ Elijah said in bitter teeth at the phone at Klaus
If it had been any other person or circumstance klaus would have bitten back at someone trying to give him an order, even his brother, but Klaus was no stranger to Elijah 180 degree change in personality when you were in danger. ‘brother, Hayley and I might have find a place that explains what Lucien wants to do to y/n. its better if we get our answer before coming back as they could be useful for her saving’
Klaus can only hear silence form the phone, signal that Elijah is thinking ‘okay. Keep your phone close I will tell you where to meet me’. Elijah didn’t even wait for kalus answer as he put his phone back in his pocket and walked back in the room were kol, finn, Davina and freya were working on a spell to find you
‘any news?’ Elijah enquired freya and Davina as they were working on a spell to locate you ‘no, we can only see that she is in these states but don’t know where, we need more time’ freya explains
‘work faster’ Elijah said coldly
‘brother-‘
‘ I said work faster!’ he shouted his phone ringing and nikalus’s name appearing on the screen again ‘find my wife now!’ he replied before taking the call
‘he is not himself’ freya said to kol as she worked, kol sighed ‘elijah is calm and composed but if y/n is in danger the devil seems a saint. London fire 1666, Chicago fire 1871, san Francisco earth quake 1906. What do they have in common? y/n was taken’
freya swallowed hard, Elijah was the composed brother, the most human one, but he was also the patriarch of the family and most important a devoted husband. Freya understood that the brother she loved did not exist anymore or not existed until you were back safe in his arms, and that this version of him had no problem destroying everyone and everything in his path to have your back
‘north virginia? This can’t be a coincidence, we were turned there, and with y/n’s blood’ kol theorized looking at the map, Elijah heard that and decided they all would got to your rescue. After stealing a jet they arrived to their old town.
‘freya and finn go search in the city I will search in the countryside’ Elijah said dividing the teams
Meanwhile You woke up in mystic fall, a few feet away from where you had grew up in the mikaelson household, from where your and elijah’s old tent was build by him for your wedding, and finally where esther had used your blood to create the originals.
You saw Vincent and Lucien as you straighten up still weakened by the potion
‘lucien, Lucien, Elijah will kill you for this’ you sighed
‘oh dear y/n that is exactly my plan. But in the meantime you will help me. You might recognize this place, you lived here once didn’t you? But for the sake of Vincent I will tell him your story’ Lucien starts
‘you see Vincent, the legend says mommy original used the doppelganger’s blood to make her children and her daughter in law vampires, but only few know the real story. Esther did use the doppelganger blood but only to bind klaus’s wolf form to make the original spell instead she used something even more rare. She used y/n’s blood, but it wasn’t only your blood right?’ he says as your rage gets stronger
‘shut up!’ You shout as you try to attack him but the magic chains don’t allow you
‘esther needed another source of magic, specifically of the biggest coven of dark magic, which only survival was little y/n, but she needed also a spell that would bind all her children, and y/n here didn’t share the mikaelson blood, until one day she did, without even knowing it.’
Tears start forming in your eyes at the reminder of those events, the darkest days of your life that made you immortal, and Lucien takes joy in your state as vincents look at you confused
‘you know y/n and Elijah, two love sick fools, but what you don’t know is that he had got her pregnant, but both of them didn’t realise it until when it was too late. But esther did and she took the chance. She almost completely drained y/n and consequently also her unborn child and used the blood of y/n lineage and of the Michaelson to make the spell using it also to have the magic strength she missed but that you had didn’t you?’ he mocks you
‘I’m going to k1ll you for this lucien’ you say through greeted teeth at the reminder of what happened to you
‘you will not. You see y/n I admired you, all of you but after your dear Elijah used compulsion on us I understood you all not deserved this gift. My rise will be your downfall. I will be stronger than you, stronger than any of you, a new original, a better one’
Vincent gives you a sad sympathetic smile, ‘if what you say it’s true, you still can’t replicate it, her child was lost’
‘oh but you see y/n here died and became a vampire that same night, so the child is still in her womb, although no more than a few weeks old, hence her blood is still as it was during the original spell, mixing the two magic lineages, and that is why its going to work.’
Lucien forced Vincent to cooperate having not much choice due to the new orleans witches forcing him, you fought back at your best when lucien picked you up from the soil and put you on the altar. Lucien sliced open your neck, your blood filling the cup for the spell as you lost conscience Lucien letting your temporary de4d body fall on the ground as Vincent was forced by the ancestors to make the spell
A few minutes after the spell was completed and Lucien drank the potion, you and Vincent were still unconscious, when Elijah arrived seeing the horrid scene in front of him, his blood boiled in rage
‘get away from my wife!’ Elijah shouted through gritted teeth, his eyes in vampire form
‘elijah! so nice of you to join us. y/n was waiting for you but the thing is can you get me fast enough before I end your dear wife’s immortality?’ Lucien replied Elijah didn’t even reply as he took matt donovan’s gun and shoot lucient in the heart. He wished he could take his time torturing him but he had not that luxury
Elijha ran to you, taking away your chains away and feeding you his blood to speed your recovery, you open your eyes as you came back to life
‘eli?’ you asked seeing his handsome face above you
‘it’s me dear’ he replies placing his forehead on yours, but you can’t bask in the sensation much as there is still Lucien to be dealt with, elijah caresses your cheeks as you breath
‘we need to stop lucient before he-‘ you say trying to stand up but you have so much vervain and magic blocking in your system that it makes it difficult
‘listen to me. Its done. he is dead my love, its over’ Elijah says cupping your face lovingly
‘no you don’t understand Elijah, that was what he wanted he drank the serum, he wanted you to k1ll him so he-‘ you try to explain, elijah looks confused when suddenly Lucien rises again stronger than ever
Elijha attacks Lucien to keep him away from you ‘what do you think Elijah? This new power suits me’ Lucien reply throwing your husband, you try to get up buy you are still too week
Elijah helps you up shielding you with his body in that moment finn arrives, Lucien throws Elijah and finn
‘I pondered, who end first? You ? Klaus? y/n ? I thought one of you first so the other could suffer but now that I’m here I think it should be you two and the face nik will make when his favorite brother and best friend are dead will be priceless. But don’t worry I plain on sending over the entire family’ he replies turning towards you, Elijah lets out a scream of anger
He picks up Elijah ready to bite him you take the stone of the spell and break it on his head to keep him away from Elijah, but you are not fast enough to leave as Lucien takes you by the shirt
‘y/n no!’ he shouted as Lucien teeth marked your neck, you scream in pain as lucien’s fangs pierce your skin, you fall back in elijah’s arms as his heart breaks in fear
Freya finally makes it to the scene creating a barrier around you all and protecting you from Lucien ‘I thought you two would make it more of a challenge’ he mocks you as elijah’s rage rise and as he is ready to fight back ‘I can keep this up as long as I want to’ freya says that makes Lucien leave for now ‘never mind, actually knowing you and klaus will see y/n die is enough for now’ and with thar Lucien leaves as you whisper ‘elijah’ as he craws you in his arms checking your wound which is the worst one he ever seen
No. no. no. he thinks a fear like never before creeping in his bones and mind ‘it’s okay my love, niklaus will heal you promptly’ he says trying to convince himself more than you ‘quick freya call him! finn take freya and meet us at the car’ he says rapidly to his siblings as he scopes you up in his arms as you let out a cry of pain, he apologizes as he vamps speeds you to the car
The drive and flight back had been horrible, elijah had seen you bitten by wolves before but this was worse , faster, higher fever and hallucinations and more pain cursing through your veins. He felt powerless, he could only try to suit you. when you reached new orleans the hallucinations had become very vivid.
Elijah brought you bridal style inside the abattoir when you were convulsing in his arms hallucination taking the hold of you
You started to scream for Elijah to not abandon you and for Klaus not to betray you
‘brother please don’t do this!’ you shouted seeing Klaus attacking you instead of kol that had came to check on you worried
‘elijah! Elijah don’t leave me I beg you!’ you screamed in pain at Elijah that placed you down on the sofa, before taking your head and a cushion and placing in your lap, he took your hand in both of his squeezing it lovingly ‘I’m here my love I will never leave you’ he says trying to suit you but your hallucinations continue and his heart broke at your screams
‘why is she saying these things?’ freya asked him confused
‘she is hallucinating her worst fears, it’s the wolf venom, but this seems to work twice as fast’ Elijah explains trying to calm you down with his comforting touch
‘Maybe her system will expel it twice as fast’ freya replies hopefully
finn arrives ‘or twice as lethal. we need Klaus now or she might die’
‘What is wrong with you she will not die!’ Elijah shouts at his brother for having even dared to say that but before his anger could take over his attention is shifted on you again
‘eli don’t leave please’ you begged him momentarily regaining consciusness
‘I’m here my heart I’m not leaving’ he reassured you as you laid on him his hand massaging your scalp careful of the bite on your neck
Before the siblings could start fighting again Klaus arrived ‘I can’t leave you alone for five minutes can’t i? where is she!’ he demands, his face paling when he sees your state and runs to you
‘what took you so long! y/n needs you!’ Elijah shouts at him in anger, but Klaus ignores him biting instead his own wrist and gently gathering the back of your head towards it and holding it as you drink
‘drink it sister’ he says putting it at your mouth as Elijah looks at your face regaining color you looked better already
‘thank you niki’ you replied letting go of his wrist, Klaus just nodded. Elijah took your hand kissing it while kalus has his hand on your shoulder
‘how are you feeling my love?’ your husband asks you inspecting you
‘strangely euphoric’ you reply smiling at him and at his siblings
Klaus smirked ‘I have known to make that effect’ he says as you just roll your eyes as he smirks ‘I’m happy you are okay sister’ he adds ‘yah you gave us a scare y/n’ kol adds
‘I must admit that seeing your always of forever today made me change my mind’ finn says as elijha holds you close ‘we are family that is what we do’ freya says hugging her brother
‘the world must have turns around! Finn agreeing with you and for once it was you saving my ass instead of I saving you-‘ you say as suddenly you joint forward vomiting the blood Klaus had given you before falling back in elijah arms the color of your face drained
Elijah and Klaus jump forwards taking you ‘y/n!’ Elijah shouts in worry as he sees you getting worse
‘what is wrong with her?’ he asks freya in panic as she looks at you
‘her body is dying’ the oldest sister replies in shock
‘no its not possible I cured her!’ Klaus shouts in panic pacing the room
‘it’s gong to be alright y/n’ Elijah tries to suit you as you convulse in pain and vomit blood
‘take the pendant quick!’ freya shouts at kol that goes upstairs running and taking it back
‘y/n you will drink directly form the source until we put you in the pendant then we will bring you back’ Klaus instructs biting his wrist and putting it on your mouth but you don’t drink instead looking at Elijah as if was the last time
‘elijah please don’t leave me’ you beg him
‘I’m here my love I’m not leaving you nikalus is taking the pendant’ Elijah says cupping your cheek and giving you a reassuring but tearful smile
‘no niki don’t go please I want my sister, bother, husband and our son with me if this is really the end’ you say chocking as Klaus tears fall as you address him as yours and elijah’s son rather than your brother. In a way he has always been as you two took care of him for centuries more as parents would do then older siblings
‘we are not going anywhere and neither are you but you must drink’ Klaus tells you as Elijah tears fall, Klaus places his wrist on your mouth as you look at Elijah ‘please my love drink’ he asks you and so you do
Kol comes back instructing freya of what to do ‘any moment now’ kol says as freya chants
‘my love look at me you will be okay, we will bring you back, you will be safe in the pendant meanwhile’ Elijah tells you cupping and caressing your cheek. You nod looking one last time in your husbands’ eye, you let go of Klaus wrist
‘eli- Elijah I love you so much’ you say crying as you draw him to you kissing him the best you can with the last strength you have left. It tastes of Klaus blood and venom but Elijah could not care less as he keeps you head towards him to help you, suddenly your lips stop moving and the pendant shines your body turning grey.
Klaus teats fall as Elijah lets you go tenderly placing your body back on the sofa against him and adjusting your hair as he lets out a sob
‘she is in the pendant’ freya confirms
‘we will work restlessly to bring her back’ Klaus adds,
‘I’m wearing that, she is my wife’ Elijah says ice cold extending his hand towards freya that gives him the pendant, he puts it around his neck immediately while not taking his eyes of you
Elijah knew your soul was safe in the pendant but still the image of your cold lifeless grey body In his arms made him shiver, he had never seen a more horrible image, his wife, his love, his life, lifeless in his arms, he remained silent looking at you as his siblings were frightened to the core
‘freya is right brother we will use Lucien death to bring her back but we need a plan’ Klaus replies moving his hand on elijah’s shoulder that instead of finding comfort in it like usually does instead stiffens, his mind running miles at the rage he felt for Lucien at the sorrow he felt in seeing you temporary lifeless, he took the pendant in his hand holding it tightly as if it would bring you back
‘leave us! Go find a plan’ he says in gritted teeth’s at his family.
‘brother-‘ Klaus tries taking away his hand
‘ I said leave!’ Elijah shouts and everyone does at the sight of his angry stare, freya had never seen him like this but Klaus and kol knew that look very well, it was the look of a broken man, one that Elijah wore only when you were in extreme danger
Elijah looked at your lifeless body in his arms, it was grey and cold, something he would never want to see, your bite still visible. He cried in the crook of your neck before taking you in his arms bridal style and bring you to you shared room, he lays you in your shared bed as if you were sleeping. He kisses your forehead
‘I give you my word my love I will not rest until Lucien is dead and you are back in your body, meanwhile you are safe in the pendant with me, I swear it to you’ he swore looking at you.
He knew he had to go coordinate with his siblings to save you but he could not bring himself to leave you, so he went on his side of the bed and hugged you Keeping you close as he plotted Lucien’s death and how to bring you back
