Notes:

I've had a lot going on IRL, and my creativity has been stunted due to life circumstances. However, I'm getting better and hope to give you more fanfiction.

Thank you to those who patiently wait for updates.

Work Text:

"What are you doing?" Marinette leaned against the snow covered tree and admired Adrien's handiwork.

"I thought it was obvious." He chuckled, reaching behind his neck in a nervous habit. He instantly regretted it as his cold ice-covered glove touched his neck, and he drew back quickly with a small hiss.. As he began to knock flakes of snow and ice off his gloves, he continued. "But if you can't figure it out, then I must be really bad at it!!"

This brought a playful smile to her lips, "Oh, I can see what you are doing. What I don't understand is why."

He nodded, "I decided to try my hand at ice sculpting. Oil paints were not my thing. Neither was basket weaving. Or cooking. You already know I can't sew."

"So you decided to sculpt ice! You could have chosen an easier medium." Marinette teased. She stepped forwardd and began to circle his sculpture. "One that was a bit more forgiving of mistakes. Clay, for instance."

"But they had Ice Sculpting classes available! And if I didn't take them now, I would have to wait until next winter." He turned from her and began to chistle away at the sculpture before him.

"So why did you choose a turtle?"

He grinned. "Technically...I didn't. It's a Kwami, and I'm glad you recognized it!"

"You are sculpting Wayzz?" She offered a raised brow and a moment of appreciation for the care he'd put into the slightly lopsided sculpture. "Why not Plagg?"

Adrien scrunched his nose at the mention of his own Kwami. "Do you really think the world is ready for a god of destruction to be immortalized in ice?"

Marinette paused, and let out a giggle. "No. I would think not. But a god of protection?" She gestured to the sculpture approvingly. "It's beautiful, Kitty."

She saw Adrien's posture lift slightly in pride at her attention, and she kissed his cheek. "I'll see you at home..." She gave one more quick glance back to the statue. "Master Fu would have loved it."
